He picked up the sullen Suisui and placed her on his lap. The little girl was visibly unhappy, her emotions written all over her face.
Suisui refused to look at him, turning her small face to the side.
Quan Jin gently turned Suisui's face to look at him. "Suisui."
No response.
"Suisui?"
Still no response.
Quan Jin frowned, "Suisui!"
Suisui twisted her small face to the other side, giving Quan Jin a knowing look, "Hmph!"
Such a temper!
Quan Jin was self-aware enough to not hold it against her, knowing full well he had a bad temper himself.
He coaxed Suisui, "Mom's busy working outside. Let's go home and wait for her. How about that?"
Suisui's aggrieved little voice said, "I want Mommy."
"Alright, let's go find Mommy." He couldn't bear to see his daughter upset, let alone in tears.
But going to find that woman was out of the question, interrupting her secret meeting with Uncle Five? He'd better be the good guy!
