The black Volvo was parked outside the red-walled villa, countless specks of dust dancing in the car's low-beam headlights.
Simon Forrester held Sienna Thorne in his arms, expressing his concerns in a low voice about her commuting by subway or taxi.
"If you have a car, sometimes when I can't take you home, you can drive yourself back, and I'd feel more at ease."
Sienna smiled: "You're right, not having a car is inconvenient. I'll ask my dad to buy me one."
"I'll buy it," Simon insisted, "Tonight when you get home, go online and look at cars. Once you find one you like, let me know, and I'll have Harrison Rowe order it for you at the dealership."
"Okay."
Sienna had been with him for several days, understanding his temperament well. She knew she couldn't argue with him at the moment, so she feigned agreement.
There was no way she would actually let Simon buy her a car.
