This volume is another side story, still about Candy's story. However, in this story, the background has been changed – Quentin Thorne married Melinda Linton years ago, and Candy became Quentin Thorne's only daughter. She excelled in both character and academics and was a PhD in law from Harvard. After graduation, she continued working as a lawyer. The setting is almost the same as in the main text, but in this story, Candy grows up in a happy family, so her personality will be slightly different, as one's growth environment shapes their character. In this story, her personality will be more adorable and lively.
Other changes are due to Ian Grant not marrying Quentin Thorne back then, and Melinda Linton also not marrying Felix Raines, so characters like Mina Thorne and the Raines Family won't exist.
Everything about the male lead Simon Forrester and the Forrester Family's situation remains the same as in the main text.
