Mia Sutton vaguely heard the sound of knocking when she started to regain consciousness again.
Her beautiful brows knitted slightly, her head burrowed in the crook of the arm of the person next to her, eyes still closed, her voice barely louder than a kitten's, soft and fluffy: "Mr. Sterling... is there a sound outside?"
"I seem to hear someone calling us." The sound whispered at her ear, hazy, not knowing if it was real or just a dream.
Jensen Sterling gently rubbed Mia Sutton's scattered hair and replied with his eyes lowered: "Mmm."
"There's someone outside." From the sound, it should be Natalie Jennings, with occasional bits of someone else's voice mixed in. Because there was a small yard outside their room, the voices weren't very clear coming through, but this appearance suggested quite a few people were here.
Mia Sutton's eyes snapped open with a sudden motion, just short of rolling off the bed, and she froze for a moment.
