Claiming she missed home and wanted to go back for a visit.
Jensen watched the little girl enter her room and come out quickly, with a backpack slung over her shoulder.
"Are you planning to run away from home?"
Mia: "No, no, I... I'm just going home to see my parents, I'll be back soon, really."
After saying that, she promptly made a getaway: "Mr. Sterling, goodbye."
Until the door closed, Jensen didn't stop her; she needed time, and that's okay, he could give it to her.
He hadn't actually planned for her to find out so soon; he usually acted only when he was absolutely sure, having planned every detail and anticipated every consequence, leaving no escape route for others before taking action.
