Chapter 30 - Chapter 19: Bowing the Head

Zhao Yongsheng's heart skipped a beat; he was fond of social activities and knew many different people. He had heard of Ding Si for a long time, a well-known social figure in Dongzhou, who started his career running gaming halls before going to prison for gambling. After being released, he entered the electrical engineering industry and reportedly made quite a bit of money in recent years.

Actually, Zhao Yongsheng had drunk with Ding Si years ago. At first glance, he felt Ding Si looked familiar, but couldn't immediately recall who he was. Now that the other party had introduced himself, Zhao remembered him instantly.

Zhao Yongsheng knew this group was not to be messed with, so he quickly approached them to try and curry favor: "You look familiar, President Ding, I'm Zhao Yongsheng from Changxing Hospital—we've had meals together in the past." He hoped mentioning this would earn him some respect from Ding Si.

Ding Si squinted at Zhao Yongsheng: "I don't remember!"

Zhao Yongsheng was publicly rebuffed, his face turning red with embarrassment.

Ding Si reached out and grabbed Xu Chunliang's collar: "Kid, apologize to me today, and I'll let you off the hook."

Tang Mingmei responded: "Let go, if you don't I'll call the police."

Zhou Wenbin, seeing the situation take a turn for the worse, hurried to the hotel to fetch security. Zhao Yongsheng and Zhu Mingyuan pragmatically kept their distance and even quietly backed away.

Xu Chunliang, showing no fear, stared at Ding Si: "Want me to apologize? Sure, but only if you kneel to me!"

"Damn it..." Ding Si was about to explode.

Xu Chunliang had already made his move, raising his right hand and swiftly striking the Guanyuan Acupoint in Ding Si's abdomen. His strike was not heavy, but his accuracy was precise. Ding Si felt a numbing sensation in his abdomen and was about to retreat when Xu Chunliang struck his Jizhong Acupoint.

It felt as if his upper and lower body suddenly separated, Ding Si swung a fist at Xu Chunliang's face, but Xu Chunliang ducked, evading it with the agility of a snake, dodged beneath his armpit, and circled behind him, aiming straight for the Huantiao Acupoint.

Ding Si's buttocks went numb as well, Xu Chunliang's foot kicked the crease behind his knees, targeting the Weizhong Acupoint.

Ding Si's major acupoints were consecutively sealed, plopping to his knees with a thud. His four companions barely understood what happened before he was kneeling; they figured it must be Xu Chunliang's trick and nearly simultaneously lunged at Xu Chunliang.

Xu Chunliang moved faster than them. He spoke loudly: "Director Zhu, how do you assess my acupoint skills?" He moved like a snake among the four stout men, hands darting out, striking each one's acupoint in turn.

Within less than half a minute, the fight was over without any bloodshed. After Xu Chunliang's successive moves, he was slightly out of breath, secretly lamenting that his current power was less than a tenth of his past prowess. Thankfully, he was in a peaceful era—it was like being a champion among the disabled.

The five men had their acupoints controlled, all kneeling rigidly in the parking lot. Such a spectacle was unprecedented for them; their brains had already lost control of their limbs.

Zhu Mingyuan was dumbstruck. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he couldn't believe such acupoint skill truly existed in the world. It seemed impossible. Were they performing a double act? But it didn't look like it.

Ding Si had never been humiliated like this, as he cursed relentlessly.

Xu Chunliang looked down at him, reaching out to strike his Yamen Acupoint.

Ding Si's mouth opened and closed, but he could no longer make a sound.

At this moment, Manager Cai of the hotel arrived with a group of security guards. They were amazed at the sight in front of them, knowing Ding Si's group consisted of ex-convicts known for their notoriety; intimidating them was shear madness. Usually, it was Ding Si's group bullying others, never had they been seen in such a sorry state, obediently kneeling on the ground, their faces showing indescribable indignation, a true embarrassment.

Zhou Wenbin had called them over, mainly due to concern that their side might suffer, only to find Ding Si's group had already knelt down. They couldn't understand the situation.

Xu Chunliang beckoned Cheng Xiaohong, signaling her to come over. Cheng Xiaohong waved her hand, unwilling to provoke these vicious people.

Xu Chunliang said: "An apology must be sincere. If you don't come over, it proves you won't forgive them; these fools can kneel here until tomorrow morning."

Manager Cai approached to mediate: "Oh, what's going on, Brother Si get up quickly." He went over to assist Ding Si, but his hand hadn't yet touched him.

Xu Chunliang warned him not to move, lest he risk permanent injury due to his actions.

Manager Cai was startled, his hand stopping mid-motion, awkwardly.

Though Ding Si's mute acupoint had been sealed, his companions weren't muted by Xu Chunliang. Initially, they dared to shout; but as they realized their bodies lost control, their minds were engulfed in deep fear.

One of them said: "Call the police... Manager Cai, help us call the police..."

Xu Chunliang chuckled dismissively: "Shall I call the police for you? Should it be 110 or 119? Who knows which department resolves acupoint issues?"

Manager Cai, accustomed to handling situations, knew even if the police were called, it wouldn't be resolved easily. Listening to their conversation, it seemed as though all five were immobilized by acupoint techniques. Though he'd read about them in novels, could they truly exist in reality?
