Abigail suddenly fell to the ground and begun crying. Festus quickly walked to Abigail in panic. Chloe followed suit. She hugged her sister and asked her in fear
" How...,how did this happen "
Abigail cried harder and said
" I,l don't know "
Erica came and stood beside them. Chloe yelled at Festus in anger
" What are you standing there for Festus, do something, conceal her powers "
Festus lowered his head in despair. He said
" Third princess, you know her powers can fully be concealed after 24 hours "
Tears were now streaming down Chloe's eyes. Of course she knew but she couldn't bring herself to believe it. How can this happen. She looked at her crying sister and said
" so what, we can wait, quickly conceal her powers "
This time Erica asked with her face devoid of any expression. She were all used to her behaviour. She was always cool as a cucumber under all situations
" Festus, when is the auspicious time ending"
Festus answered
" Second princess, this year's auspicious time is very limited, we have barely thirty minutes more "
Erica took in a deep breath and said to Chloe
" We need to go. We don't have time "
Chloe stared at her as if she were a complete stranger. Her tears blurring her vision
" How can you say that, what of Abi, if we go what will become of her "
Erica sighed helplessly and tried talking some sense into her head
" Chloe we have barely 30 minutes. Abigail can't go with us with her powers released and it will take 24 hours before, we can fully conceal her powers. Won't we be stuck by then. "
Chloe shoke her head stubbornly
" I don't care, I want to stay with Abi "
Erica felt a pang in her heart and stared at Chloe. A question run through her mind
" Would she had done the same thing for me if the situation was reversed "
She almost asked but found her question ridiculous. She was about to say that
" Abigail, knock some sense into her head " when Abigail suddenly said
" She's right Chloe, you guys should go. "
Chloe shoke her head stubbornly again and said
" You idiot, what about you "
" you could get me help when you reach there, leave me behind"
Erica also added
" plus if we all stay back it won't help. Who knows when there would be another auspicious time. Without the auspicious time, we can't come go back. Mom and dad will only worry. It would be best and safe if we both go and get help. "
Chloe still been adamant walked to Festus and said desperately
" Festus there is a way right. Tell me there is another way."
Festus who couldn't look at the princess eyes only said
" I'm sorry Third princess but there nothing I can do. We can only journey through the human world by using the auspicious time. Once it's up, we're stuck. The auspicious time comes once every year. No one can come to the human world or back to the Elarion kingdom with released powers. Once you don't lock up your powers before the auspicious time, you are stuck...."
" Of course I know that bullshit rules. Who do not know. There must be another way "
Festus said nothing and only shoke his head. Chloe became frustrated. Then she felt a warm hand on her shoulder
" Go "
Abigail said. She had wiped her tears and now looked almost ok. Chloe was about to protest but felt an unknown force pushing her into the chariot. The force was so great that, by the time she came back to her senses, she was sitting in the chariot. Knowing it was Abigail doing, she was about to stand up and go back but realised she couldn't stand. She felt like she was glued to the seat on the chariot. She became furious and yelled
" Abi release me "
But Abigail didn't listen to her. She turned to Erica and said
" she is now in the the chariot. You guys should go. Time is far spent "
Erica stared at her in awe, loving her sudden calmness. She went and hugged her then she said
" we'll come back for you "
Abigail stared at Erica's back as she entered the chariot. Festus on the other hand bowed in respect and begun to drive the chariot. Chloe was crying hard seeing her sister left behind on the earth. Abigail also wiped her tears as she stared at tye chariot as it went. She couldn't believe her eyes, how come this happen. How dud her powers unleash in the first place.
" Grrrrrrrrr, grrrr.... "
The sound was loud and Festus instinctively stopped the chariot in the air. They turned and saw the mountains shaking violently as if there was an earthquake.
Abigail was terrified. What was the meaning of this. She couldn't keep her balance and fell down, just as she was about to stand up, the mountains shoke violently again which caught her off guard. She lost her balance again and this time fell off the mountain 20,050 feet. Everyone was shocked.
" Abigail..." Erica and Chloe yelled
Festus was tempted to come back but checking the auspicious time, he continued the journey with difficultly. But what could he do, they had less than 5 minutes to return and they had not gone far.
Abigail fell from the mountains and didn't know what to do. She was terrified and tried covering herself with her ice bubbles but it had been long since she last used her powers. She panicked and embraced herself for whatever would come. She felt her body hit the hard surface of the earth and everything went black. The mountain was tall and there was no hope for people who fell from that mountain.
