Back then — when they first join school she thought of introducing Ebina Hina to others guy, but that was only because she thought Hina was interested.
But — Now that she think about it, Yumiko Miura didn't actually know Ebina Hina well at that time.
Now that she's come to understand Ebina and knows what kind of person she really is, Yumiko realizes how foolish she used to be.
"Okay, if you have something to say, you can talk about it slowly when we get home," Akira Fujimiya said, now holding Yumiko Miura's hand as he looked at the two of them.
"Yumiko, sorry but I might bother you again." Ebina Hina smiled gently.
"It's fine, Hina. You can come to my house anytime." Yumiko's tone was sincere and warm.
Akira extended his hand to Ebina Hina.
Ebina smiled and instead of taking his hand, she slipped her arm around Akira's.
Feeling the slight pressure, Akira didn't say anything as he turn his gaze.
Yumiko saw this and, without hesitation, took Akira's other arm.
Akira looked between them, sighed softly, and walked forward with both girls at his sides.
.....
Thursday Morning,
On the way to school, Akira received a call from Hanada Yui.
She told him that she was ready to go to the site, and Hayama Hayato's father was also prepared. Since they had already contacted Yukinoshita's acquaintances there, the company's location had been finalized.
As for personnel matters, Hanada only needed to conduct a few interviews, select qualified talents, assign them roles, and then return.
After hearing this, Akira assigned her a series of tasks he had already planned out.
At first, Hanada Yui seemed a bit surprised, but after listening to his detailed explanation, she understood his reasoning and agreed, without hesitation.
After all, everything was for the future development of the Future Comics Publishing House.
Once the call ended, Akira continued walking toward Sobu High.
...
Lunch Break,
There was a new cat in the Student Council Office.
It was obvious that the cat came from a pet shop, but Akira insisted it was a stray.
Yukinoshita Yukino, however, didn't mind and agreed to adopt it.
Meguri Shiromeguri, the student council president, glanced between Akira and Yukino but didn't dare say anything.
Isshiki Iroha wanted to complain, but when she saw Yukino and Akira's expressions, she wisely stayed quiet—she didn't want to lose her dessert privileges.
In truth, the cat had been purchased by Tsurumi Saori from a pet shop, and she was also responsible for taking care of it.
During the day, it stayed safely in the Student Council room.
At night, Saori would take it home.
And — Saori had finished packing up her old place that morning and officially moved into a room on the second floor of Sakurasou—directly above Hiratsuka Shizuka's.
She had already ordered the furniture and essentials she needed.
To celebrate Saori's move, Akira asked her to buy a lot of food for dinner.
Saori was touched and even more grateful to Akira for his thoughtfulness.
{T/N:.....Well approved}
...
After Saori left, Akira noticed the subtle sparkle in Yukinoshita Yukino's eyes.
He understood instantly—Miss Yukinoshita wanted to interact with the cat.
Since Yuigahama Yui and the others had gone to the Service Club instead of the Student Council that afternoon, only Meguri, Iroha, and Yukino remained in the room with Akira.
"By the way, Yukino, I think we should conduct a survey," Akira suddenly said.
"Survey?" The three girls looked at him at the same time.
"Yes," Akira continued. "Once the cafeteria is completed, we can decide its menu based on the results. We can even invite students from the cooking club to experience a day's work in the cafeteria."
"That's… actually a good idea," Yukino replied thoughtfully. "I'll leave the design of the questionnaire to you."
"No," Akira shook his head. "I think the questions and options should be decided by the students themselves."
"Huh?" Yukino looked at him in mild confusion, tilting her head slightly.
...
After lunch break.
In the first-year corridor, Akira held the freshly printed questionnaires while Isshiki Iroha went from class to class explaining the purpose and distribution method.
Once completed, each student would hand their form to the class representative, who would then submit them to the Student Council.
From the designing of the survey to its printing and distribution—it had taken nearly the entire lunch period.
Akira bought a drink and handed it to Isshiki Iroha.
"Here. You've been running around all day."
"Thank you, senpai," Iroha said softly, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"You're welcome." Akira smiled and lightly patted her head.
"It would be great if you were the Student Council President, senpai. I'm honestly kind of scared of Yukinoshita-senpai." Iroha muttered while sipping her drink.
"If I were president, the Student Council would probably turn into a weird place." Akira looked out the window of the corridor, amused by her remark.
"The Student Council is already weird—It is basically your..." Iroha mumbled, then stopped halfway, realizing what she almost said.
"My?" Akira asked with a smirk.
Iroha gave him a cold glare and turned away, refusing to respond.
Akira took a step closer.
Iroha's face reddened instantly as she backed up—until her back hit the wall.
Akira raised his arm, planting his hand against the wall beside her head, effectively trapping her —
"S-Senpai…" Iroha stammered, pushing at his chest weakly.
"Relax, I'm just practicing Kabedon. Why are you so nervous?" Akira teased with a grin.
"Senpai, weren't you going to—"
"I'm just using you for practice," Akira interrupted her. "Anyway, class is about to start. I'll head back first. Bye."
He turned and walked off without hesitation, he was going to the tennis court.
Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Ba-dum!
Iroha stared blankly at his departing figure, her heart pounding.
It took her quite a while to regain her composure.
.....
That Afternoon,
In front of the Student Council Office.
Akira had just returned from the tennis court when he heard Iroha's voice echoing from inside.
"Yui-senpai! You have to listen to me! Akira Senpai is way too much—he actually used me to practice Kabedon during lunch!"
"Eh?" Yuigahama Yui blinked, stunned by what she just heard.
Creakkk—
At that exact moment, Akira opened the door.
Instantly, the room fell silent.
Iroha froze, clutching Yui's arm tightly with puffed cheeks.
Yui looked at Akira but didn't say a word.
"Meguri-senpai, have all the questionnaires been collected?" Akira asked calmly, ignoring Iroha's and others expression.
"Almost all of them," Meguri Shiromeguri replied, pointing to the stack of papers on the table.
Only then did Akira turn his gaze toward Iroha.
"...!!! "
A bad feeling immediately ran down her spine.
"Isshiki," Akira said, stepping closer. "I have a task for you."
"Yui-senpai, save me!" Iroha squeaked, hiding behind Yui Yuigahama.
"You'll be in charge of organizing the first-year questionnaires," Akira continued without pause. "Meguri-senpai and Ebina-san will handle the third-year data. Yumiko and I will take care of the second-year results."
"Senpai, I—"
"Didn't you say you wanted to become Student Council President?" Akira raised an eyebrow.
"…Okay," Iroha muttered miserably, pouting as she took her papers.
Akira sat down next to Yumiko Miura, spreading the second-year questionnaires across the table.
Ebina Hina moved to sit beside Meguri to assist her.
Iroha reluctantly took the first-year stack and sat opposite Akira.
"I'll help you, Isshiki-san," Yui offered with a kind smile, taking a seat beside her.
"Thank you, Yui-senpai," Iroha said sincerely, then focused on her work.
Hina glanced at Akira out of the corner of her eye, her lips curling slightly as if she understood something unspoken.
.....
Evening—
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the final questionnaires were sorted and tallied.
Akira stretched his arms and looked around at everyone.
"Meguri-senpai, Isshiki," he said casually. "My place isn't far, and dinner's already prepared. Would you like to come by? I can take you home afterward… or not, if you'd rather stay."
"N-No need, my home isn't far," Meguri Shiromeguri replied quickly, her face faintly red.
The implication in his last words was not lost on her.
"Senpai, can you take me home?" Iroha asked with a blink, not showing an ounce of fear.
"Sure, I'll take you," Akira replied.
"Then I won't refused." Iroha grinned mischievously.
Everyone packed up their things.
Meguri stayed behind to lock the Student Council Office door.
Her house wasn't far—about the same distance from Sobu High as Sakurasou was.
Standing at the school gate, Akira waved.
"See you tomorrow, Meguri-senpai."
"See you tomorrow," Meguri replied, waving her hand before walking away down the quiet street.
