Before anyone saw him, they heard his name.
As the glowing text rolled across the screen, every world in the multiverse fell silent in stunned confusion.
"The ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick?"
They didn't know what Nazarick was—but a tomb was certainly not a place any normal person would call home.
"The one who unites the Forty-One Supremes?"No idea what that meant either, but it sounded impressive.
"Guardian of Carne Village, Conqueror of the Kingdom of Re-Estize?"Never heard of either of those.
"The Sorcerer King who shook the continent!""The Great Ruler of Life and Death!"
"Holy crap.""Now that's badass."
"The Undead King who rules over glory and death?"
Undead?
At that word, countless powerful beings across the multiverse tensed up.They hadn't even seen him yet, but those titles alone said enough.
The second outside ally of Night Raid—was anything but ordinary. He was terrifyingly extraordinary.
Gulp.Gulp, gulp.
Across the worlds, countless throats swallowed hard as eyes fixed on that swirling black rift in space.
Tap... tap...
Heavy footsteps echoed closer.
Then—finally—
The mysterious Undead King stepped out of the void.
For a moment, the whole multiverse collectively gasped.
Hssss—
An endless chorus of sharp intakes of breath rolled like thunder through every realm.
A towering skeleton stood before them—pure white bone, no skin, no muscle, no organs. Only two crimson lights burned like embers within his empty eye sockets.
He wore an elegant black robe, his massive frame draped in gold-embroidered cloth. In one hand he held a staff—the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown—its jeweled heads gleaming with eerie power. Every finger bore rings, each one pulsing faintly with magic.
A suffocating aura of absolute dominance surrounded him. Just looking at him made mortals tremble—reverence and terror mixing in their bones.
"Wh–what… what is that thing?!"
"He's not even human! He's… he's already dead!"
"How can something that's nothing but bones still move?!"
"Even through the screen, my body's shaking!"
"I get it! A moving skeleton—it must be one of those corpse puppets controlled by the Imperial Arms!"
"No! You're wrong! That's no puppet—that's the Lord of the Dead himself!"
Those who had never seen an undead creature screamed in panic.
"An undead! He's an undead!"
"No, no—he's not just any undead!"
"He's the King of the Undead! The true ruler of death!"
"Night Raid's second ally is actually an undead being?!"
Even those who did understand what "undead" meant were horrified.
In the One Piece world—
"Ah! Brook!"
On the Thousand Sunny, Luffy pointed at the skeletal figure on the screen.
"It does look like Brook!" Usopp nodded quickly.
"Whoa, Brook got picked as an ally? That outfit's amazing!" Chopper's eyes sparkled.
"Damn it, why Brook and not me…" Sanji collapsed dramatically to his knees, ghostly gloom swirling around him.
Zoro raised an eyebrow. "Didn't know Brook had that many titles."
"'King of the Undead'—now that's a cool nickname," Franky added with a grin.
Robin and Nami just stared blankly. That couldn't possibly be Brook, could it? The aura was completely different!
Just then—
Creak—
The cabin door opened.Brook stepped out, wiping his hands.
"Yohoho~ What a stylish set of bones! I never thought there was someone else in this world who's all skeleton like me!"
Everyone: "???"
"Wait, what? That's not you?!"
"Yohohoho! Of course not! I just went to the bathroom!"
In the Gintama world—
"Oi, oi, what's this supposed to be? Beauty and the Skeleton? No matter how you look at him, that undead guy screams villain!" Gintoki shouted.
"Is this supposed to be a summoned ally or a death omen? What if that skeleton falls for one of my wives, huh?!" he added nervously.
"Gin-san, he's a skeleton. You know, just bones," Shinpachi deadpanned.
"Oh. Right. False alarm then," Gintoki said instantly, calm again.
...
In the Konosuba world—
"No matter how you look at it, that skeleton gives off seriously bad vibes," Megumin muttered, frowning. "Are we sure this ally won't make things worse?"
"No worries, no worries," Kazuma waved it off. "If the mysterious Counter's the one who picked him, it's gotta be fine."
"How could it possibly be fine?!" Aqua shrieked. "That's an evil undead! A high-ranking one too! Only a goddess like me could possibly purify such evil!"
Meanwhile, as the multiverse buzzed with shock and awe—
...
Back in the world of the Sorcerer King:
Deep within the Great Tomb of Nazarick, chaos erupted in a completely different way.
"Lord Ainz—! The whole world is seeing Lord Ainz's magnificent form!"Albedo's face flushed crimson.
"Did you hear the way that mysterious narrator introduced him?" Shalltear's chest heaved with excitement. "Even they didn't dare disrespect Lord Ainz!"
"Those Night Raid fools are the luckiest mortals alive," Demiurge said, practically trembling in delight. "To receive aid from Lord Ainz himself! They should be on their knees in gratitude!"
"With Lord Ainz's power, victory is assured!"
"Neither those Imperial Arms nor that Esdeath woman can compare!"
"Our Supreme One stands above all!"
Sebas, Aura, Narberal, and every other servant joined in a chorus of praise.
In the Akame ga Kill world—
"Tch. It's just a skeleton," Minister Honest sneered. "What's with all the fancy titles? How much strength can a pile of bones have?"
...
Night Raid's temporary base.
The Undead King who had stepped through the dimensional rift stood silently. He said nothing, merely observed.
Inside his mind, however, thoughts raced.
Was that a forced long-distance teleportation? No… this isn't just distance. The entire world has changed. I've been transported to another world, haven't I?
So the Counter truly shows events from other worlds… No wonder we couldn't find the "ghost" they mentioned. It can project across worlds—and even forcibly summon me here. This being who controls the Counter… could he actually be a god?
Gulp.
The silence around him grew heavy, almost unbearable. The Night Raid members stared in stunned disbelief.
Their first ally had been a cute girl—and now their second was a literal skeletal overlord radiating death and authority.
No matter how you looked at it, this guy screamed final boss.
"Uh… um…"
Tatsumi took a deep breath and stepped forward. "P–pleased to meet you!"
At last, the skeletal king spoke.
"My name is Ainz Ooal Gown, ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. I was instructed by the one who commands this Counter to assist you."
A collective sigh rippled through Night Raid.
At least he could talk normally. That was something.
"Then, Lord Ainz, Miss Kurumi," Najenda said politely, "please, rest for now. Allow us to show some hospitality."
"No need." Ainz waved a hand dismissively. "I came with a mission. It's a simple one, but the sooner it's done, the better."
"I agree completely," Kurumi replied with a faint smile.
With that, the two outside allies turned and began heading toward the Imperial Capital.
Night Raid exchanged uneasy glances.
As assassins, they were used to working from the shadows—but with these two on their side...
The whole tone of the operation had just changed completely.
"Let's go take a look!"
Najenda made a bold decision.
Night Raid moved out, openly marching straight toward the Imperial Capital.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa—"
"Is this seriously turning into a final showdown right off the bat?"
"Perfect. I was wondering what kind of strength our new 'allies' have."
"The Undead King, Ainz Ooal Gown… so he really fights by summoning the dead, huh?"
"If he can raise an army of undead, that'd be terrifying in large-scale warfare."
"But still… if he runs into the Supreme Teigu's Guardian Deity or Esdeath, a regular undead horde might not cut it."
"And Kurumi… no one knows what tricks that woman has up her sleeve."
Across the multiverse, countless spectators — especially the strong ones — watched with eager anticipation.
Under the gaze of all worlds, the Skeleton King and Kurumi Tokisaki stepped out of the forest and emerged onto the plains north of the capital.
The Empire, of course, had been preparing for their arrival.A full army of a hundred thousand soldiers marched out, forming ranks beyond the northern gate.
And that wasn't all.Another elite force of ten thousand joined them — composed of the Temple of the Imperial Fist's masters, the Capital Security Force, Dr. Stylish's cyborg unit, and the private soldiers of the capital's noble houses.
Normally, those nobles would never risk their personal guards in open war.But this time…
This time came a death order from Minister Honest himself.Anyone who still wanted to survive within the Empire wouldn't dare disobey.
With such an extravagant army assembled, the Empire's elites were confident.Night Raid, even with their two mysterious outsiders, numbered only ten.
Ten against a hundred thousand? How could they possibly lose?
Thinking it would be a one-sided slaughter, many nobles climbed the walls themselves, ready to enjoy the spectacle.
"Hey, hey, this has gotta be a joke! The Empire really sent out a hundred thousand soldiers? There's just ten of us! How are we supposed to fight that!?"
Lubbock's green hair practically stood on end as he shouted, wide-eyed in panic.
Countless people watching across the worlds felt the same.
"A normal army can only fight an army," Najenda said calmly. "Normally I'd order a retreat. But today… the main stars aren't us. Let's see what our guests plan to do."
She took a slow, steady breath.
"Seems like the Empire's taking us pretty seriously," Ainz said in his hollow, composed tone.
"Mr. Ainz," Kurumi asked with a smile, "do you want to make the first move?"
"I'll go after you," he replied.
Kurumi's lips curved into a soft smile. "Fine by me."
She stepped forward — alone — toward the army that stretched to the horizon.
Her fearless stride made gentlemen across the multiverse clutch their chests.
"What an arrogant girl! Think you can take us all on by yourself? Let me teach you a lesson!"
Dr. Stylish gave a twisted grin and waved his hand. His cyborg troops surged forward.
"Evil must be punished! Koro, let's go!"Security officer Seryu shouted, charging ahead with her monstrous partner, the Hundred-Armed Giant.
"Whoa! That woman's a total bombshell!""Capture her alive!""I want that girl as my slave!""Whoever catches her first gets a thousand gold!"
From the walls, nobles barked orders, their greed echoing over the battlefield.Enticed by reward and desire, the ten-thousand-strong vanguard charged in a frenzy.
"No, no, no, this can't be happening!""My wife, my beloved Kurumi!""They're gonna capture her! Noooo!"
Across countless worlds, fans of Kurumi wailed in despair.
"Wait—look at her," said Tsunade in the world of the Hidden Leaf. "She's way too calm. That girl's hiding something that can handle an army."
"The real fools are the Empire," murmured Kotori Itsuka in the Date A Live world. "They're facing the most dangerous spirit in history."
She didn't pity them in the slightest. One glance told her that every soldier charging Kurumi was a bastard anyway.Let evil destroy itself — poetic justice.
"What the…?"
Nami, the Straw Hat navigator, gasped as her eyes went wide. "The Empire's entire vanguard just… collapsed!"
"Is that… gravity magic?" Makarov from Fairy Tail muttered in disbelief.
The multiverse erupted in astonished cries.
On the screen that displayed all worlds, the shocking scene unfolded:before they even reached Kurumi, soldiers began dropping one after another.
Kurumi walked through them, her serene smile untouched, her steps silent and unhurried among the fallen.
"Damn you! What did you do!?" Seryu screamed, panic breaking through her righteous fury.
At that moment, she realized she couldn't move — as if trapped in quicksand.Even the Hundred-Armed Giant's berserk strength couldn't break free from the blood-red field surrounding them.
"Become… my time," Kurumi said sweetly, spreading her arms wide, her face radiant with a smile.
The Empire's ten-thousand-strong unit had stepped straight into her domain.
Its name — City of Devoured Time.
Within it, all living beings had their time forcibly drained, their bodies growing unbearably heavy until they could no longer move.
Under normal circumstances, even Kurumi would never unleash a full-scale City of Devoured Time.It consumed too much, absorbing life without discrimination.
But this wasn't her world. She was here with a mission —and these men were far from innocent.
With no reason to hold back, Kurumi let it all loose. Her City of Devoured Time went into full power, devouring every second around her.
"Whoa, I don't even know what she just did—but my Kurumi's amazing!""Shut up! She's my wife!"
Gentlemen from every universe perked up instantly, full of pride and rivalry.
"As expected," said Fleet Admiral Sengoku gravely. "Anyone chosen by that mysterious summoner isn't ordinary."
"This Kurumi Tokisaki girl has already shown her power," Vice Admiral Tsuru added, her expression serious. "That means the next act belongs to the Undead King."
Something in her gut told her that what came next would be far more intense.
...
In the world of Akame ga Kill —
The capital's battlefield erupted into chaos.
"Damn it!""What the hell did that woman do!?""General Budo! Crush them already!"
Nobles shouted in rage and fear.
But General Budo didn't move.He ignored their cries completely.
From beginning to end, his eyes never left Ainz.
"If possible," Ainz began, voice calm as ever, "I would prefer to negotiate—"
Crack!
Thunder split the sky.A deafening roar shook the earth.
"Filthy heretic! Be erased beneath my thunder!"
General Budo unleashed his Teigu of lightning, a bolt thick as a tree slamming into Ainz.
"So much for negotiations," Ainz sighed. "Very well… let's skip the formalities."
He raised his staff. When it came to annihilating armies, few were more experienced than him.
"Super-Tier Magic—Sacrifice to the Black Goat, Mother of Madness."
And the world trembled.
