Chapter 6 - DANGER AND SHADOW

(Eren's Narration)

The night was quiet in the city, but the silence was deceptive. Every corner, every shadow held potential danger. Elif was still walking ahead of me, her eyes involuntarily fixed on me. A resolve rose within me: I wouldn't leave her alone, but I had to be careful.

And here came the first warning: three men leaped from around the corner, walking toward me with weapons in hand and a familiar malice on their faces. Like figures dancing in shadow, their movements were calculated. The dark voice within me cried: "They're attacking! Take cover!" But another voice… quieter but more decisive: "Stop… defeat them. And keep the one next to you safe."

I walked forward calmly, not quickening my pace. I stood behind Elif like a shadow. My eyes were quickly measuring, analyzing every move. They were threatening, but in this city, I was more dangerous than they.

My heart suddenly quickened. When three men appeared before me, I gasped. My hands involuntarily clenched, but I took a step back. Should I run? But my legs felt frozen.

Eren… was still at my side, but this time, something was different. His presence was still dominant, but the expression on his face had changed: cold, determined, and deadly intent. I felt a mixture of fear and admiration. The danger was gathering intensity around Eren; it was as if even the shadows were giving way to him.

When the men took another step, Eren stopped silently but firmly. He raised his hands slightly, measuring them with his gaze. My heart nearly stopped; even this silence created a deadly tension.

I didn't let them approach. I took a step forward and, drawing the shadow towards me, made the first move. My movements were swift and deadly, yet controlled. Every blow, every step, confirmed that I dominated the city streets. The men were confused and unprepared; I knew immediately that they were not of this world.

I held Elif behind me. Her safety… was paramount. But at the same time, I could feel her gaze; she stared at me like a puzzle to be solved, a jigsaw puzzle of fear and curiosity intertwined. This generated a new caution within me: I had to keep her safe, but at the same time, I had to avoid influencing her.

I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her movements were swift, deadly, and precise. The men ran away, but they still looked back; I realized they didn't belong in this city, that they were merely victims in Eren's world.

A storm of fear coursed through me, but curiosity was growing just as quickly. Who was this man? Why was he so dangerous? Why did his presence both frighten and uncontrollably capture my attention?

And in that moment, I realized that the shadows in this city weren't just physical; there was an aura, a power around Eren. Being near him was dangerous, but also inevitably… intriguing.
