Chapter 277 - Chapter 277: True Dragon

After Baby-5 and Monet took their leave, King led O-Tama directly to the outdoor balcony of the residence. He looked at her with a steady gaze and asked if she was capable of flight. O-Tama was momentarily stunned by the question but then gave a shy, determined nod. King simply told her to follow him. Without another word, he activated his Devil Fruit ability, sprouting massive wings and taking to the sky toward the distant peak of Mount Fuji.

O-Tama did not hesitate. She activated her own Devil Fruit power, and her body began to transform, glowing with a soft pink light. High above the Flower Capital, a giant pink dragon appeared in the sky. She skillfully stepped on flame clouds, propelling herself forward to follow her master. King looked back over his shoulder and nodded, clearly satisfied with her progress.

The two flew rapidly toward Mount Fuji. As they approached, the environment changed drastically. The sky had turned pitch black, filled with thick, swirling dark clouds that crackled with lightning and thunder. Instead of entering the storm immediately, they flew higher into the atmosphere. O-Tama felt a sense of curiosity, but she trusted King and kept pace.

As they flew deeper into the sky, the storm intensified. Torrential rain poured down around them, and the intertwining lightning made it feel as though they had entered a world of pure chaos. Just as O-Tama began to wonder where they were going, King came to a sudden halt and stared into the darkness ahead. O-Tama looked around, but the sun was completely obscured, leaving her unable to see anything but the heavy, black clouds.

Finally, King spoke, his voice carrying through the wind. "Big Brother!"

O-Tama froze in realization. She looked up and witnessed a sight that left her breathless. The massive black clouds in front of her began to shift slowly. Suddenly, clusters of intense flames ignited within the darkness, illuminating a colossal body that looked like an ancient demon. It was so large that it seemed to blot out the entire sky.

O-Tama had seen her father, Kaido, in his dragon form before, but he seemed even more immense now than she remembered. In the past, she felt like she was the size of an eye compared to him; now, standing before this staggering form, she felt as small as a mosquito.

"King, O-Tama... you've finally arrived," Kaido's deep, lazy voice rumbled, sounding as though he were slightly intoxicated.

"Father!" O-Tama cried out, her voice full of concern.

"I've been asleep for quite a while," Kaido muttered. "Did anything happen while I was out?"

King nodded respectfully. "Yes, Big Brother. O-Tama wants to go and rescue the members of the Donquixote Family."

The two of them couldn't even see Kaido's head through the clouds, but they could hear the curiosity in his voice. "Oh? O-Tama, why do you want to do that? You are only seven years old."

O-Tama spoke with unwavering firmness. "I want to become a warrior as strong as you, Father. I also want to help Sister Baby-5 and Sister Monet save their families."

Kaido let out his signature laugh. "Worororo! Very well, I agree. Every child eventually has to grow up and face the world on their own. Come here and stretch out your hand."

Though confused, O-Tama obediently extended her dragon claw. A burning flame slowly floated out from the black clouds and pressed against her arm. It left behind an imprint of the Beasts Pirates' flag.

In an instant, O-Tama felt a surge of incredible power racing through her veins. A powerful aura burst from her body as her dragon form began to grow visibly. Her muscles expanded, and her pink scales became harder and more radiant. Within seconds, she grew from a length of ten meters to a staggering 100 meters.

"What... what is this power?" O-Tama stammered, looking at her transformed body in awe.

"Worororo! Think of it as a gift from your father," Kaido replied. "I won't stop you from going on an adventure, but I still worry about your safety. Take this power with you; it will protect you."

O-Tama looked at the symbol on her arm and gave a heavy nod. "I understand, Father. Please don't worry, I will protect myself."

"Good. You can head back now," Kaido dismissed her. "I have things to discuss with King."

"Okay, Father!" O-Tama called out as her long, pink dragon body wound through the air, diving back toward the Flower Capital.

As she disappeared, Kaido's voice echoed through the clouds again. "The children are growing up fast, aren't they, King?"

"That's right, Big Brother," King replied. "Two years ago, she was just a little girl who cried over everything. Now, she's starting to act just like you."

"The Donquixote pirates are all being held in Dressrosa, right?" Kaido asked.

"Yes," King confirmed. "The Marines are mostly focused on Doflamingo. They won't cause any extra trouble as long as they get him to Impel Down safely."

"Are Ulti and the others returning soon?" Kaido questioned.

"Do you want them to help with the rescue?" King asked.

"No," Kaido grunted. "Sending the Tobi Roppo for the Donquixote Family would be overkill. How is the takeover of their business going?"

"It's going smoothly," King reported. "We've been preparing for two years. However, their industries—the weapons factories, the usury, and the transportation business—are massive. It will take at least another month to fully integrate everything."

"Worororo! Is that so? Then let Doffy sit in Impel Down and read the newspaper for a few more days."

"Yes, Big Brother!" King replied.

In a certain area of the New World, two ships drifted across the sea. One was the Thousand Sunny, belonging to the Straw Hat Pirates, and the other was the yellow submarine of the Heart Pirates. Just a day ago, they had defeated Doflamingo and freed Dressrosa, but the arrival of the Marines had forced them to flee for their lives.

"The Marines shouldn't be able to catch us now, right?" Nami asked, her voice laced with worry. Since joining Luffy's crew, she had survived one dangerous situation after another. Luckily, with Luffy and the others, things always seemed to work out.

On the submarine, a hatch opened and Trafalgar Law stepped out, his body covered in bandages. He looked over at the Straw Hats on the Sunny and spoke through gritted teeth. "Thank you for everything, Straw Hat-ya. You helped me defeat Doflamingo and get my revenge. I'll keep my word—our alliance stands."

"Hey, Tra-guy! I didn't do it for some alliance," Luffy shouted back with a grin. "Doflamingo was just annoying, and I promised Rebecca I'd kick his butt!"

Law gave a soft chuckle. "Whatever your reasons, the fact is you helped me. Where are you heading next?"

The crew looked at one another, uncertain. While they had Log Poses for the New World, they had to choose between three different routes.

Before anyone could answer, a voice cut through the air. "We're going to Zou..."
