"Alan, Katie, please come, I have something important to say."
They both hurried over, shocked to hear their son calling them by their names.
"Oh, what happened to you? Why are you covered in blood? Why are you standing like that? We need to treat you fast. You lost so much blood. What happened to you? Are you okay?"
I interrupted Arthur's concerned mother.
"Katie, please listen to me. First, please sit down. This might be a bit much to handle."
Perhaps shocked by her son's unusual behavior and injuries, or sensing something wrong, they listened. They both sat down, confused and scared.
I explained to them.
"I don't know what happened or why it happened, and I know this is a lot to take in, but please listen to me first. I am no longer the son you raised, Arthur Norwin. I don't know what happened to him. But today, I think in the morning, something happened to him, and I suddenly woke up in his body. I am not from this world. My name is Aadith, and I am 16 years old. I am sorry for your loss and for the mess I created in your living room."
