Chapter 136 - Chapter 136. Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia’s Special Win! A “Pseudo One-Card” Combo Goes Viral!

Chapter 136. Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia's Special Win! A "Pseudo One-Card" Combo Goes Viral!

For the ZEXAL world, to Xyz Duelists who don't know Don Thousand, the "Number 1000"-class monster on screen already looks godlike.

Or rather, in their eyes, it even seems more ultimate than Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS.

Soon, the card text pops up in the short video:

Card Name: Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia (Rank 13)

Attribute: LIGHT

Type: Fiend

ATK/DEF: ?/?

Materials: 5 Level 13 monsters

If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Number C1000: Numerounius," it gains 100,000 ATK/DEF during your opponent's turn only; from the start of the next turn after it was Special Summoned, apply the following.

Monsters your opponent controls must attack this card, if able.

At the end of your opponent's turn, if this card did not battle, you win the Duel.

When your opponent's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 material from this card; negate that attack, and you gain LP equal to that monster's ATK.

The instant everyone sees the material requirement, not only the ZEXAL world but Duelists from the other worlds all fall silent.

Even if they don't hail from an Xyz era, looking at that Summon requirement makes them wonder if their Yu-Gi-Oh! worldview is about to collapse.

Level 13 monsters are one thing, but it needs a ridiculous five of them.

Good grief — where are you supposed to find five Level 13 monsters?

No doubt about it: this card realistically comes out only via its own clause through "Number C1000: Numerounius."

And its special-win condition is to win at the end of the opponent's turn if it didn't battle.

At first glance, that doesn't sound easy.

Yugi Muto: "Xyz truly is a mysterious Summoning method! They really made a monster for everything!"

Jaden Yuki: "Tsk… so how do we bring out that 'Number C1000: Numerounius' it depends on?"

Yusei Fudo: "I don't Xyz, but for Rank 13, its lower form 'Number C1000: Numerounius' should need five Level 12s, right?"

Yusaku Fujiki: "This is getting more and more outrageous! Ranks 12 and 13 aren't rare anymore?"

The group chat explodes with discussion.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "We saved this one for the finale! This is the one where a specialized build makes the combo path simpler than the previous ones — or rather, it succeeds more often. The raw power is just there. One hundred thousand ATK means you often don't need the special win. But it lacks protection, which is a pity. So, what are the specialized lines? I'll demo one of them — it's just for fun, so watch along!"

A live demo?

Hearing that, Duelists across all six worlds sit up, eyes wide.

They were already wondering how to get to the lower "Number C1000: Numerounius."

Now there's a demo — perfect time to see how the special win is actually achieved.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "Treat this as a one-card start. I Normal Summon Formud Skipper. One-card Link-1 for Scareclaw Light-Heart. Chain Link 1: Light-Heart; Chain Link 2: Formud Skipper to add Parallel eXceed. Resolve CL1 to add Primitive Planet Reichphobia. Activate the Field Spell, then add Scareclaw Reichheart. Special Summon Reichheart; it searches Scareclaw Arrival. Use the two on field to Link Summon Predaplant Verte Anaconda. Parallel eXceed Special Summons itself from hand, then pulls a second copy. Both become Level 4 — time to build an Xyz!"

"We Xyz Summon Springans Merrymaker and send Springans Kitt. Then we climb into Gigantic 'Champion' Sargas, which adds Tally-ho! Springans. Anaconda makes 'Champion' DARK. Upgrade into Number 84: Pain Gainer."

Across the six Duel Worlds, everyone's hearts sink.

This is bad — it's the dreaded "story-time" line again, and not one they recognize.

With a deck they know, they can follow a beat or two.

But a mash-up of engines to string a combo?

Their eyes glaze over immediately.

One moment it's Scareclaw; the next it's Springans.

As expected of a high-tier world's "for-fun" specialty deck — unfathomable.

They still can't see what any of this has to do with "Number 1000," and they can't tell what groundwork each step is laying.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "We're only getting started. Activate Tally-ho! Springans, detaching three from Pain Gainer. Add Springans Kitt, then Special Summon a Kitt and Merrymaker from the GY, plus another Kitt from hand. Kitt adds Branded Opening; put any 1 card to the bottom of the Deck. Overlay the two Kitt for a Rank 4: Primathmech Alembertian. Detach 2 to add Mathmech Circular. Use Merrymaker and Anaconda to Link-2 Reprodocus; turn Pain Gainer into a Warrior. Now activate Scareclaw Arrival to revive Scareclaw Reichheart. Reichheart and Pain Gainer link into Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights. Isolde adds White Ninja, then sends Sword of Sparkles to Special Summon AD Changer. AD plus Reprodocus link into Spright Sprind, which sends Diviner of the Herald."

Seeing that familiar "helper" line with Diviner, Duelists in every world can at least follow a little.

Mathmech appears — more extension is coming.

But mixed with the earlier steps, they're bewildered again.

This specialized list is using too many different themes.

The pieces are numerous, scattered, and from different engines.

It's frying the old guard's brain cells — and we're only halfway.

The short video is almost over, but the rest of the combo feels like it lasts an eternity.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "Next, Circular Special Summons itself and sends Mathmech Diameter. Alembertian tributes Sprind to revive Diameter. Circular adds Mathmech Equation. Link Isolde and Alembertian into Spright Elf; Elf revives Diviner. Diviner sends Arcana Force XXI - The World. In the GY, Sword of Sparkles tributes Diviner to return itself to the Deck; Diviner then Special Summons Valkyrie Sechste from the Deck, and Sechste brings out Valkyrie Fünfte. Fünfte mills The Revived Sky God. Now Tuner 4 (Mathmech Diameter) + Level 2 Fünfte + Level 1 Sechste = Level 7 Synchro: Ancient Fairy Dragon. Ancient Fairy destroys the Field to add Light Barrier, then we activate it. Activate Mathmech Equation to revive Diameter. Overlay Circular and Diameter for a Rank 4: Number 60: Dugares the Timeless. Dugares detaches 2 to revive Arcana Force XXI - The World. With Light Barrier set to Upright, we'll be able to tribute 2 at our End Phase to skip the opponent's next turn."

At this beat, while the line gets more confusing, it also slowly clarifies.

Duelists across all worlds are already numb and pale.

This specialized deck is insane.

Especially here, out pop the Valkyries and Arcana Force again.

And with The World set Upright, tributing two monsters at the End Phase will skip the opponent's next turn.

Seeing that, many Duelists feel a jolt — they've probably guessed where this is headed.

Yugi Muto: "I've got a headache already. As expected, achieving a special win is no simple task."

Crow Hogan: "Hahaha! Doesn't matter — I just want to see the finish!"

Yuma Tsukumo: "We still haven't seen anything that ties to Number 1000. There's still a gap…"

Jaden Yuki: "But that World effect is clearly crucial here! Sartorius's power, huh?"

Sartorius: "Silent for so long, and I finally see a card related to me. Za Warudo, is it?"

The chat grows louder.

Discussion of "Za Warudo" shoots to the top.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "We're entering the finale. Activate Branded Opening to bring out Aluber the Jester of Despia. In the GY, The Revived Sky God banishes itself to stack Monster Reborn on top of the Deck, ensuring we draw it next turn. End Phase: activate The World; tribute Number 60: Dugares and Aluber to skip the opponent's turn. Turn passes back to us. We skip the Battle Phase and go straight to Main Phase. Ancient Fairy Dragon goes again, pops the Field to add Black Garden. Spright Elf revives Diviner; Diviner sends Trias Hierarchia. Trias Hierarchia tributes Diviner to Special Summon itself; Diviner then brings Valkyrie Sechste, which brings Valkyrie Fünfte. We Set White Ninja; everything is in Attack Position. Activate Black Garden. Trias Hierarchia and Spright Elf link into Geonator Transverser. Black Garden gives the opponent a Rose Token. Geonator Transverser swaps our Set White Ninja for their Token. Black Garden destroys itself and revives Valkyrie Fünfte, which mills Rank-Up-Magic Quick Chaos."

In the ZEXAL world, the moment they see Rank-Up-Magic Quick Chaos, many Duelists squint thoughtfully.

Some even have a flash of insight.

Yuma and Astral immediately get it — and they also realize why The Revived Sky God had to be sent earlier.

All the setup links together at this moment.

Yuma Tsukumo: "Ah, so that's it. I think I've got it. Monster Reborn revives the Xyz from the GY, right?"

Astral: "It should. And Quick Chaos has the effect to add itself from the GY when a Rank 5 or higher Xyz Monster is Special Summoned."

The video gives the final answer.

Yu-Gi-Oh Appreciation Gallery: "Activate Monster Reborn to revive Number 84: Pain Gainer. Rank-Up-Magic Quick Chaos returns to hand. Use it to Rank-Up Pain Gainer into Number C1000: Numerounius. In the GY, AD Changer banishes itself to flip the opponent's Set White Ninja face-up, triggering White Ninja. We choose to destroy Number C1000: Numerounius. Then Numerounius's effect activates — Xyz Summon from the Extra Deck our true purpose card: Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia. End of turn. Activate The World again, tribute any two monsters, and skip their turn. Za Warudo! Duel over. Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia's effect resolves; per its text, we achieve a special victory."

In the short, the entire sequence comes out in one breath — no wasted motions.

That final "Za Warudo" forcibly shaves off another opponent's turn, speeding up and guaranteeing Numerounia's win condition.

After the whole flow, Duelists in every world exhale slowly.

So this is what a high-tier world's genius Duelist looks like?

To secure a special win, they brewed something this outrageous.

Seriously? You call this "Dueling"?

Isn't this just torture for both players?

Is this really a human-devised specialty win line?
