c80: Coming to Earth
"Golden Refrigerator, huh? You're in for a surprise this time!" Lin Hao chuckled, his arms folded as he gazed into the distant sky. "Why don't you just stay in your corner of the universe and mind your own business? But no—you just had to come to Earth to deliver yourself to me. You'll find plenty of surprises waiting here."
The thought of Frieza marching proudly into his own humiliation amused Lin Hao.
After all, because of Lin Hao's earlier interference in fate, the strength of Son Goku and Vegeta had already far surpassed that of the original Dragon Ball Super timeline.
Under Whis's relentless training on Beerus's planet, the two Saiyans had reached terrifying new heights. Their divine ki had stabilized, and their control of godly transformations had become far more refined.
Especially Vegeta though he hadn't yet achieved Ultra Instinct like Lin Hao, he had completely mastered the Super Saiyan Blue form, known as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, a transformation that merges god ki with Saiyan instinct. Whis himself had once noted that Vegeta's Blue aura burned sharper and more focused than Goku's.
However, Vegeta was never fully satisfied with it. According to Whis, the Super Blue form, while powerful, consumed enormous stamina and lacked the effortless pressure of true divine ki. Though it multiplied a Saiyan's strength exponentially, it was still limited in how far it could evolve unable to contend evenly against the limitless instinctive power of gods.
Therefore, Vegeta chose to pursue a different path: pushing his pure Saiyan bloodline beyond its known limits. His training had become a blend of divine energy control and primal Saiyan will a direction that would, one day, lead him to the form known as Ultra Ego.
Goku, on the other hand, was entirely different. His curiosity and boundless fighting spirit drove him toward Lin Hao's example the ultimate goal of mastering Ultra Instinct, the divine state that transcends thought and reaction. To him, Lin Hao was both a rival and an unreachable ideal. If he could master that instinctive realm, he believed he could finally surpass even Lin Hao and stand equal with the gods themselves.

Outer Space Above Earth
A massive spacecraft slowed as it entered orbit, followed by a fleet of smaller ships like a school of metal sharks gliding through the void.
"Earth..." Frieza murmured from his throne, his red eyes narrowing. "Finally, I've arrived. Just wait, Saiyan monkeys. I'll send you all back to Hell where you belong. Ho ho ho ho!"
As Frieza's golden aura shimmered faintly around him, the Frieza Force followed in formation. His fleet's presence was soon detected by every powerful fighter on Earth.

At Kami's Lookout, Piccolo suddenly opened his eyes mid-meditation, his expression dark.
"This ki... it's pure evil. Familiar too. Don't tell me"
From nearby, Son Gohan rushed out, already sensing it. "Uncle Piccolo! This energy... it feels like Frieza's! But how can that be? Wasn't he killed by Uncle Lin Hao years ago?"
Piccolo frowned deeply. "The Dragon Balls... Someone must've used them to resurrect him. I remember feeling several dark ki signatures a few months ago small, but coordinated. That must've been Frieza's soldiers gathering the Dragon Balls!"
Gohan clenched his fists. "And Frieza's energy... it's far stronger than before. At least ten times what it was during the Namek battle. Even my Mystic form can barely compare."
He felt a chill crawl up his spine. "This is bad. Dad and Vegeta are still training with Whis on Beerus's planet!"
"Relax," Piccolo said calmly, standing tall. "Even without Goku and Vegeta, we have Lin Hao. Frieza doesn't stand a chance against him."
At that reminder, Gohan's worry eased. Right Lin Hao was still on Earth. The man who had surpassed even the Gods of Destruction wouldn't let anything happen.
"Let's go," Piccolo said, his cape flaring behind him as he took off toward the landing site. "We'll stall Frieza's army until Lin Hao arrives."

Across the planet, Krillin, Tien, and Master Roshi also sensed the overwhelming evil ki.
"Man, that power..." Krillin said, shivering slightly. "It's even worse than the Cell Games. Guess we're back in business, huh?"
"Then let's move!" Tien shouted, flying toward the energy source.

Back at Capsule Corporation, Lin Hao stood up from his seat and looked into the sky, his sharp gaze focused on the horizon.
"It's finally here," he said quietly. "The Golden Refrigerator himself."
"Huh? Golden refrigerator?" Lin Yi blinked in confusion.
Lin Hao chuckled. "That's just what I call him. A shiny fool who thinks he can cause trouble on Earth. Come on, kid go call your mother. We're going to greet our guest."
"Oh! Someone's here to destroy Earth again? No way I'm missing that!" Lin Yi dashed off. Moments later, Android 18 appeared, her expression calm but eyes serious.
Without hesitation, Lin Hao placed a hand on each of them. "Hang on tight."
In an instant, they vanished, reappearing above the battlefield with Instant Transmission.

Below them, Frieza's flagship slowly descended into the atmosphere, followed by hundreds of attack pods and scout ships. The army of the Frieza Force poured out, surrounding the nearby wasteland like a metallic storm.
Stepping out onto the surface, Frieza floated on his hovercraft, his golden form gleaming like molten metal.
"Oh? You all came to greet me? How thoughtful," he sneered, eyes flicking toward Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and the others. "It seems I won't have to hunt you monkeys down one by one after all."
As Frieza's mocking laughter echoed through the sky, his soldiers formed ranks, surrounding Earth's defenders in tight formation.
Despite being outnumbered, none of the Z Fighters flinched. Their faces were calm, their ki steady.
Piccolo folded his arms. "Numbers won't save you, Frieza. You'll regret coming back here."
Gohan nodded beside him, eyes blazing with resolve. "This time, we'll protect Earth no matter what!"
And high above, Lin Hao, Android 18, and Lin Yi hovered silently in the clouds, watching the scene unfold below.
"The stage is set," Lin Hao said softly. "Let's see how long Frieza lasts this time."
