Prologue: When Monsters Rise

The night Nexus Prime fell, the city never saw it coming.

One moment, neon lights painted the skyline in dazzling colors. The next, fire devoured the heavens. Towers crumbled, streets split apart, and screams drowned out the sirens. Heroes—once symbols of hope—fought desperately against a single man who made the world tremble.

Oblivion.

His very presence warped the air, his voice a roar that shook the sky. "Heroes? Protectors? You are nothing!"

With a single gesture, he sent shockwaves ripping through steel and stone. The proud guardians of the city bled, broken and powerless before him.

And in the middle of that chaos… lay a boy.

Buried under ash and shattered glass, Kael clawed his way free. His breaths came sharp, his chest heaving as the world burned around him. He was no hero, no fighter—just another forgotten face in a city of millions. Weak. Powerless. Invisible.

But fate doesn't always ask for permission.

A strange heat stirred inside him, crawling through his veins like wildfire. His vision blurred, his skin seared, and wisps of black smoke coiled from his body. The ground beneath him cracked, trembling as if the earth itself feared what was about to awaken.

Oblivion's gaze locked onto him.

The villain's lips curled into a cruel smile.

"…So the experiment breathes."

Kael's scream tore through the night as his body erupted in unstable energy. Buildings collapsed around him, shadows writhed, and for one fleeting moment—the boy no one ever noticed burned brighter than the heroes who had fallen.

Then the light vanished. Darkness claimed him.

And Nexus Prime would never be the same again.
