"I could lose control," Xavier admitted, his jaw tight, his voice roughened like gravel dragged across steel. "You don't know how dangerous that is. I'm a big wolf, Sonia. A big one. And you…" His gaze raked over me, lingering too long. "You're an Omega."
A thrill shot down my spine, hot and cold all at once. He spoke as though it should have scared me, but it didn't. It excited me.
I leaned in, brushing my lips against his ear. "Then lose it on me."
His lips curved into a cold smirk, but his eyes burned. "Ok then," he murmured, his tone both a warning and a promise. "If you say so."
He kissed me hard, hungry and consuming, then pulled back, standing tall over me. For a moment, all I could do was admire the sight of him: his broad shoulders,his sculpted chest, and the fierce heat simmering beneath his skin.
