Chapter 135Lily's POV
The crash of glass still rang in my ears as water dripped down my skirts and pooled at my feet. My heart pounded so hard I swore it echoed in the empty corridor.
"What the hell?Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!" I muttered under my breath, my hands clenching into fists. "You should've stayed in the kitchen. You should've said you were too tired. But no, now you're here making a fool of yourself."
I bent to gather the larger shards, hissing when one pricked my finger.
"What the fuck am I even doing here? I should have just stayed back and endured the maltreatment. This is just… stupid".
My frustration boiled over, and before I knew it, I was snapping at the stranger.
"Can't you watch where you're going?!" I spat, my voice sharp and high. "Are you blind? What kind of idiot barges around corners like that?"
