In the busy streets of New York i am walking towards subway in a hurry, i am showing a expression that says that if i not reached in time I will be scolded.
Getting on the subway I take the first train he get towards Manhattan down town inside the train I first get my phone outside of my pocket and opened my dialer there on the top of the list i saw the number with name Darling on it. I called it immediately.
After the two rings other side answered the call and said in a scolding voice, "Amar did you forget about our date again."
i hurriedly said, "No Lina I didn't forget about anything and i am currently in a train going towards Manhattan down town i will soon reach you."
Saying this I cut the call. Phew I breathed a little as I am running since getting out of the office building. Thinking about myself I thought that how far I came I was just a simple teenager in Mumbai with lots of dreams but after I Got my biotech degree I tried my everything to get hired in the top labs as I have always been curious about microscopic world.
I always found myself attracted to microscopic world so much that i even forget about myself and that soon became a habit but it was never a problem for me because as a orphan I have no family that I need to care about, so i could do as i like. It was difficult in the start as growing up in a orphanage is a feat in itself and getting scholarship for everything is also a challenge for me. Some times I really wanted to have someone that really care about me.
I think it was 6 months ago when I first met Lina and in first meeting I think I fell in love with her and soon after some meetings I proposed to her and she fortunately accepted me. Now I have everything one desire a stable job in a Multinational company which gives me a salary in six figures, and a beautiful girlfriend who loves me.
It is just that I still have some bad habits from before like forgeting everything once I am focused on microscopic world but fortunately Today i set up a timer so before I could have messed up my date my alarm worked and I remember about it, so got out of the lab on time.
Now I am on this train reaching the place Lina decided for our date, soon the next station arrived and i got out of the train. After getting out of the subway I walked towards the cafe where Lina is sitting.
Soon I reached the cafe and in front of the cafe, there standing in front of the cafe is my Lina she is looking very beautiful today, she i swearing a green one piece dress which suits her black hair and white skin. Her facial features are a mix of Asian and American as she told me that her mother is Indonesian. People walking around me couldn't help take a glance at her, not wanting to get her more angry i reached her and hug her in tight embrace, after hugging me in response she said, "You know are late."
I said, "I know darling but lets forget about it and enjoy our date." Saying this i walked with her and rest of that day we travel to many places and enjoyed ourself soon the night approaches and we decided to go to a bar for drink before going home.
As we are walking a van soon approached us and from it two burly man came out both of them had guns in their hand, they told us to get in the van we looked around us for help but we are in lonely road and before i could do anything to call police one of them pointed gun towards Lina which get me totally scared so following them i get into the car.
surprisingly they only wanted me so I said them to leave Lina which they agreed but my stupid girlfriend seeing me kidnapped said something like calling police and got herself kidnapped with me. Now we are in dark warehouse and sitting side by side i said to Lina, "why did you have to open your mouth?"
Lina: "Then what should i did let them kidnap you will i just stand there, Amar listen carefully even if we are going to die we dying together."
Hearing her words my chest felt warm, but this is not the time for getting emotional i tried to access our situation the burly men that kidnapped us are still standing in front of us and soon a third men which look like special agent with headset and a laptop came in front us and opened the laptop, inside it a video call is going on and the other side of the call is someone i know and that is my boss Stalin.
Confused at the situation I asked, "Boss what is the meaning of this did you kidnapped us, why are you doing this boss if i did anything wrong we should handle it legally there is no need to do this."
Hearing my words he said, "Amar this is my way of doing things but i don't need to clarify anything to you just tell me where is my sample V2 and i will let you live."
Confused from his words I asked, "Boss what are you talking about."
Stalin: "Don't act like innocent Amar I know you steal sample V2 from our lab it is showed in the camera that you put a sample tube in your pocket."
Hearing this the burly man on my side checked my pocket and from it a test tube containing some sample came out. Seeing the test tube I realised what is happening here.
I said, "boss i think you have a great misunderstanding first I accidentally kept it my pocket in haste."
Stalin: "every thief says that"
Amar: "No boss you don't understand that test tube didn't contain sample V2 it is filled with simple Bacteriophage virus, if you don't believe me then have some one check it."
Hearing this boss showed a confused expression and told the agent to check it and soon he putted the test tube in some machine which is the size of a washing machine. soon after 15 minutes the result came out and it proved that this was not sample V2.
Hearing this Stalin showed a frown and said, "Then where is my sample V2."
In response to this i said, "Boss did you check the laboratory safe."
Hearing this he showed a frown again and told some person to check the safe, and fortunately the sample was in it, then i asked why he came to conclusion and he said, "Your colleage Jerry came up to us saying that you have stolen sample V2 and run in a hurry from the lab."
I soon realised that i have been framed by Jerry but now that Stalin know the truth he said, "I apologies Amar for any inconvenience you suffered i will make sure that Jerry get fired from this company and as for the loss of your date I am very sorry. I will compensate you for your mental trauma I will arrange a trip for both you, go to Hawai and and enjoy yourself."
Saying this he cut the call and we were released by those burl man, they asked us if we need them to drop us but i politely rejected getting out of the warehouse i soon reached a road apparently this place is still close to New York as i can see statue of liberty in the distance, walking on the road i said, "I think i am going to change my job."
In response Lina said, "Do it after the Hawai trip idiot." Hearing this we both laughed, but in the laughter i heard a honking sound so i looked back and saw a speeding truck out of control coming towards us it tried to push Lina away but we both got struck by it.
