Chapter 94 - The Strange Wind in the Valley

"Alright, let's go. Let's find a good place to start practicing."

After admiring the view of the green plains for a while, Fat Tiger waved to Suneo, Da Xiong, and the others.

But just as they were about to find a way down to the open grasslands below, a powerful suction suddenly came from behind them.

"Eh? What's going on with this wind?"

"I—I don't know…!"

"Damn it, Doraemon! Just what kind of place did you bring us to?!"

"I'm not sure either! There shouldn't be any strong wind here at all…"

Facing their panicked questions, Doraemon looked completely lost.

The wind was so strong that they could only cling tightly to the stone pillars nearby.

But in the next instant, the gust intensified—so strong that even those pillars couldn't be held onto anymore.

"Ahhh…!"

With several spins and tumbles, everyone was swept away by the strange wind, blown into a dark cave opening in the mountainside behind them.

The Anywhere Door that had been open behind them was slammed shut by the force of the wind, losing its footing and being sucked into the cave along with Doraemon and the others.

"Doraemon, what do we do now? Where are we even going…?"

Da Xiong couldn't even open his eyes against the roaring wind, his body spinning uncontrollably through the air. Terror welled up in his chest.

He had never experienced anything like this before.

"I don't know either…!"

Caught off guard, Doraemon was also being blown around helplessly in the storm, rolling again and again in midair.

"Help! Mooo~om!"

Suneo, being the most cowardly of them all, immediately started screaming for his mother.

Fat Tiger, though braver than Suneo, couldn't help panicking at such a bizarre situation.

No one knew how long they were swept along inside that dark, howling tunnel. Suddenly, a faint glimmer of light appeared before their eyes.

"Everyone, hang on! I think the exit's just up ahead!"

Doraemon, spotting the dim glow, shouted to encourage them.

Even with the deafening roar of the wind and Suneo's cries for his mom echoing in their ears, Doraemon's voice somehow reached everyone.

Hearing his words, Da Xiong, Fat Tiger, and Suneo all lifted their heads toward the tiny glimmer of light at the end of the darkness.

That small spark of hope steadied their hearts a little.

No matter what, as long as they could reach that bright place, maybe they'd be safe.

At the speed they were spinning and flying, they quickly got closer and closer to the light ahead.

And then—suddenly—the sensation of falling disappeared, replaced by weightlessness.

The next thing they knew, they were flung straight out of the dark tunnel and into open air.

But although they'd escaped the pitch-black cave, their danger was far from over.

The tunnel's exit was completely suspended in midair. Below them was a steep grassy slope—almost like a cliff face covered in green.

They fell straight out of the opening and began sliding uncontrollably down the slope.

Because Doraemon's body was round, he turned into a blue-and-white ball rolling at high speed.

Fat Tiger, Suneo, and Da Xiong, meanwhile, tumbled down in all sorts of ridiculous, painful poses.

Luckily, the slope was covered with soft grass.

If it had been stone or gravel, they probably would've been seriously injured—or worse—by the fall.

Even so, the speed and chaos of it made the whole thing extremely dangerous.

"Mommyyy! Help! I don't wanna dieee!"

Suneo clung tightly to Fat Tiger's arm, refusing to let go. He didn't dare open his eyes, just screamed his throat raw.

Fat Tiger, on the other hand, stared down at the fast-approaching bottom of the slope with a grim expression, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead.

The situation was getting worse by the second. If they didn't think of something soon, who knew how far they'd roll—or what they'd hit at the end?

As for Doraemon… there was no relying on him now.

He was rolling like a bowling ball, completely disoriented, stars spinning in his eyes.

Suneo was terrified beyond reason, eyes clamped shut, and Da Xiong—who was just as timid—wasn't doing any better.

So at this point, Fat Tiger realized he was the only one who could do something.

He tried digging his hands into the grass to slow down, but it was useless. The blades were too short, too soft—they snapped right off when he grabbed them.

They were picking up even more speed, no way to stop.

If there happened to be a cliff below them, they'd go straight over the edge and fall to their deaths.

"Damn it… is there really no other way?!"

It had to be said—whenever they got caught in some crazy adventure, Fat Tiger suddenly became surprisingly reliable, completely different from his usual hot-tempered self.

Splash! Splash! Splash!

Before Fat Tiger could come up with a solution, their bodies suddenly lifted into the air again—then arced beautifully before crashing straight into a shallow stream.

"Cough! Cough! Cough…!"

The fall caught them totally off guard. Fat Tiger, Suneo, and Doraemon all came up sputtering, choking on water.

But Da Xiong had it the worst—he fell face-first, dog-style, straight into the water.

He couldn't swim to begin with, and now with his whole face submerged, he panicked completely, thrashing around wildly.

The splashing he caused left the others utterly speechless.

The water wasn't even up to their knees—any normal person could've just stood up.

"Hel—gurgle—help—gurgle—me—glub—ahh!"

Da Xiong flailed helplessly, gulping down water as he shouted for help. He couldn't have looked more pathetic.

Seeing this, Doraemon—who had just stood up—hurried over and grabbed Da Xiong by the back of his shirt, pulling him up out of the water.
