Chapter 2 - Chapter One: A Device for the Future

In my original timeline, I built a gravity room for Goku and the others to use. It worked, sure—but after thinking it over, it wasn't exactly convenient. Even with Capsule technology, carrying a whole room around everywhere was ridiculous.

So I spent the next six months building something better. Something portable. At first glance, it looked like a bulky digital watch, maybe even a wrist guard. But it was far more than that. With a twist of the dial, it could wrap the wearer in enhanced gravity, just like the gravity room. For now, the limit was ten times Earth's gravity, but I knew I'd improve it. I called it the Bulma Multi-Purpose Device—because of course, it also worked as a communicator.

When I finally finished, I called Goku and Krillin over to my house.

"Wow! Bulma, this thing is amazing!" Goku said, eyes wide with excitement. "What else can it do?"

I smirked. "Oh, nothing much. Just make everything on your body ten times heavier. You know, like your weighted clothes—but way cooler."

Krillin blinked at me. "Wait—you want us to wear this?"

"Not just wear it," I said, folding my arms. "Train with it. Push yourselves with it. And while you're at it—teach me how to use ki. Teach me how to fight."

Krillin raised an eyebrow. "What about Yamcha and Tien? Shouldn't they be here too?"

I snorted. "Please. I'm not dealing with that playboy Yamcha right now. And as for Tien—I don't even know how to contact him. For now, it's just you two." I glanced at Goku. "Oh, and when you get home, tell Chi-Chi you're working for me now. You too, Krillin."

The training was brutal. While Goku and Krillin could already handle the full ten times gravity, I struggled just to withstand four. Still, I refused to give up. They had years of martial arts experience. I was a beginner. I couldn't expect to catch up overnight—but little by little, I got stronger.

After six more months, I managed to push myself up to six times gravity, and I learned to control my ki more effectively. I could even perform Goku's signature Kamehameha—something I never thought I'd say in my life. But there was no time to celebrate. I knew Raditz would land on Earth in a year. Every day mattered.

I trained with Goku and Krillin by day, and at night, I tinkered with the device. At first, I struggled. I couldn't build a battery small and powerful enough to push beyond ten times gravity. But then it hit me—ki. If the device could draw on ki instead of a conventional power source, the possibilities would multiply.

It took me another six months to make that breakthrough, and by the time I looked up from my work, I realized something terrifying—I'd almost forgotten Raditz was coming.

Luckily, we still had three months left. I handed Goku and Krillin the improved device, this one capable of pushing gravity up to fifty times Earth's normal pull. It took them two months to adjust, but soon they were training comfortably at fifteen times gravity. Meanwhile, I was still working my way up to ten.

Now, with one month left before Raditz arrives, we're all stronger than we were before. Much stronger. For the first time, I feel ready. I can't wait to see how much the future will change.
