Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Why Is My Hokage Experience So Different?

Time flowed like water. In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

Since obtaining Lara Croft's Multi-Function Bow Mastery, Rihito Sato had quickly crafted several bows and stocked up on specialized arrows using the system's built-in item storage.

Among them, Explosive Arrows were the hardest to produce. The forests around Konoha had no open mines, and black powder wasn't something you could dig up. He had to buy it from village supply shops—and it wasn't cheap either. Plus, as a sensitive material, it easily drew the attention of the village security forces.

Luckily, Rihito was a certified born-and-raised Konoha citizen. When questioned by the Konoha Military Police, he simply explained that it was for crafting specialized ninja tools. After registering the materials as "hazardous goods," he was allowed to leave with no issue.

As the saying goes: with a sharp weapon in hand, the will to strike follows. With the skills unlocked, Rihito's hands itched. He headed straight into the forest on Konoha's outskirts, bow slung over his back. Thanks to his ninja agility and deadeye aim, he became a one-man hunting machine.

Interestingly, whenever Rihito aimed, a crosshair appeared at the center of his vision—like a real FPS game overlay. System-assisted archery was indeed the future.

His physical condition had been subpar. Born during wartime, he was borderline malnourished. But after weeks of hunting deer, rabbits, and other small game, his diet had improved drastically.

With better nutrition, his build had started to fill out, and his system now displayed a 4 in Constitution, finally nearing the average adult shinobi level.

Despite being born to an ordinary ninja family and having limited chakra, Rihito had also managed to painstakingly complete Rasengan training.

After all, a hand-seal-less technique is pure gold, and the method for training Rasengan had already been spoon-fed by the original series. If he couldn't figure it out now, he'd feel like an absolute clown.

That said, his body was still immature, so his chakra pool was low. Currently, he could only produce one Rasengan before running dry. Not suitable for repeated combat use.

Chakra was a combination of mental and physical energy. His Mental stat was already 8, but his Body stat had just hit 4. Once he matured physically, his chakra reserves would likely see a sharp increase.

A high Mental stat also gave him excellent chakra control. Things like tree-walking and water-walking only needed a bit of trial and error before becoming second nature.

In fact, Rihito had already begun experimenting with Finger-tip Rasengan—a condensed version of the full jutsu. Unfortunately, its power was still lacking. Poking a tree with it left nothing more than a fist-sized dent.

Pure chakra damage just doesn't hit hard enough. Once I unlock elemental chakra natures, the output should spike.

During this month, Rihito also discovered a consistent system mechanic:

Whenever someone mentioned his name, he earned Reputation Points.

Roughly 2–3 mentions per person per day, with each one granting 1 point.

Even without doing much, he'd quietly racked up over 400 points in just a month.

He used them to perform several Wish Draws, pulling some surprisingly useful skills:

★ Passive Skill: Iron Body

Reduces physical and ranged damage taken from enemies.

Previously, Rihito would've died from one stab. Now, the attacker needed to stab him twice.

Progress! Worth celebrating.

★ Passive Skill: Stone Heart

Significantly reduces physical and ranged damage taken from enemies.

Stacked together with Iron Body, the damage resistance stacked—turning Rihito into a budding tank. His skin even began to develop subtle resilience.

If this were a gangster movie, he'd already qualify as a double-hat enforcer—the guy who could take a cleaver to the back and still walk away talking trash.

Too bad he was in the Naruto world, where jutsu existed. Against real shinobi techniques, he still wouldn't last long. All this meant was he could now take a beating better than the average civilian.

As for Tsunade's monstrous punches?

Rihito wasn't insane. He still wouldn't dare provoke her.

If she punch, he die.

★ Active Skill: Adrenaline Surge

When critically injured, you unlock hidden life potential for a short time.

In theory, if he were grievously wounded on the battlefield, this would let him cling to life a little longer, maybe even pull off a surprise comeback.

★ Active Skill: Corpse Trap

Allows you to turn a corpse into a toxic gas trap. When an enemy inspects it, it releases fatal poison over a 3-meter radius.

Rihito had no clue how a tiny deathcap mushroom could produce a cloud of lethal gas that fast, but hey—system logic. Don't question it.

With a nice stash of abilities, Rihito finally felt a sliver of security in this dangerous world.

One month in, he'd adjusted well to life in this world. He considered himself lucky to have landed in Konoha instead of somewhere like Amegakure, which was essentially a warzone wearing a raincoat.

The world wasn't peaceful, but at least someone had his back.

He had his monthly stipend, and could supplement it with wild game. All in all, his daily life was, he say—pretty damn comfortable.

His only complaint?

He still had to go to school.

Not because he hated learning, but because the system was just too efficient. He'd already autodidacted through all the academy material, so now he just sat there listening to lectures on things he already knew.

He didn't want to fall asleep in class either. He didn't have a ninja clan's secret jutsu to practice with shadow clones on the side. So, he had no choice but to sit through the whole thing, trying not to die of boredom.

To make matters worse, Teacher Sato had started teaching from—wait for it—the Will of Fire.

Like, actually using it as a literacy textbook. Word by word. Sentence by sentence.

Rihito was stunned. He'd thought the Will of Fire was just ideological brainwashing material. He hadn't realized it was literally the first thing kids learned to read.

No wonder people were willing to die for it. They'd been fed this stuff since they could hold a pencil!

He couldn't help but sigh at the state of shinobi education.

No way… No way, right? Don't tell me some kids actually made it into ninja school without even being literate?

Weren't you supposed to learn to read before entering academy?

Why did his Hokage experience feel so... off?

Rihito let out a silent scream, his soul filled with existential despair. At just five years old, he already felt like a tired old man.
