"March!" Stelle banged on March's closed door.
"March!" Yoru banged on March's closed door, too.
"Ugh, would you guys stop it!" March's voice called out from her room. "I'm almost done, don't break the door!"
"Nuh-uh," Stelle said. "Let me in!"
"I'm not saying that," Yoru looked at Stelle. "That seems a bit creepy coming from me."
"You're banging on her door, too."
"I was coerced," Yoru protested. "Anyhow, I'm going to go to the Parlor Car and wait."
"No, you just came here with me," Stelle rebuked. "You're staying."
"Fine. Also, is Dan Heng coming?"
"Yeah," March said through the door. "All of us are going! Except for Pom-Pom."
"When was the Express invited?" Yoru asked. "If that's the case—"
"A while ago, why?"
Yoru looked at Stelle. Stelled looked back at Yoru.
"Do they have enough rooms booked for us?" Yoru and Stelle said at the same time.
"Probably. It's Penacony we're talking about," March replied through the door. "Don't worry about it!"
"I'm worrying about it," Yoru internally panicked. "Last time, Dan Heng decided to stay on the Express, but now he's coming. And we have two extra passengers now, me and Stelle."
"One second, I'll be right back," Yoru said, watching as Stelle narrowed her eyes to glare daggers at him. "I'll just be standing in a corner... hitting air."
"Okay, weirdo," Stelle replied, before a maniac grin spread on her face as she continued banging on March's door.
Standing in the corner, Yoru brings up his system. He needed to check how many rolls he had.
[Rolls: 8]
[Pity: 4/100]
"Good enough. Gambling always solves your problems... at least in these games. Bad situation? Just pull."
Yoru clicked the roll button. The hologram blanked, before reappearing.
"New Ability: Sneezing Pollen"
That's not useful, but it sure sounded interesting.
"Sneezing Pollen - You can force sneeze pollen every hour and make others sneeze pollen. A pollen chain!"
"Pfft. Hey, Stelle."
"What?"
Yoru sneezed in her face. Pollen flew out, before her nose scrunched up, and she sneezed pollen.
"... what did you just do?" Stelle questioned, her eyes narrowing further onto him.
"Ha. I'm sorry."
[Rolls: 7]
[Pity: 5/100]
Yoru rolled again. The hologram blanked, before reappearing.
"New Ability: D100 Dice"
"D&D?"
"D100 Dice - Roll a D100 Dice in the system. The higher you roll, the more successful your hope or action. The lower you roll, the worse your failure. Please note that you can't change your own luck with the rolls."
"Wait, this ability is actually good. I just can't get unlucky."
"Come on you all!" Himeko's voice called out from the Parlor Car. "We're all checking in."
The Express crew arrived at the Reverie Hotel, moving towards the check in.
March was bouncy, Dan Heng was as stoic as ever. Himeko and Welt looked like tired parents, while Stelle and Yoru stayed in the back.
The 'kids' stayed closer to the lobby as Himeko and Welt went to check in for the Express.
"I wonder what the Dreamscape is like!" March cheerily expressed, jumping up and down in excitement. "I want to take so many photos!"
"I'll explore on my own," Dan Heng said, looking towards Stelle and Yoru. "What are you two planning to do?"
"I'll—" Yoru started, before getting cut off by Stelle.
"He's going with me. We're going to compete."
"In what?! And why??"
"You forgot?" Stelle looked at Yoru. "You made me sneeze. That's unacceptable."
"..."
"Bad news," Welt said, as he approached the group. "The hotel only had reservations for Himeko, Dan Heng, March 7th, and I."
"I'm ROLLING A DICE!"
Yoru mentally rolled the dice, watching the system appear in front of him and roll.
'95'.
[You got lucky this time, bastard.]
"Welt, good news!" Himeko called out from the reception. "Two rooms just got vacated."
"Wait, is that actually how it works? I HAVE A GOOD ABILITY! Please never leave me, lady luck..."
The Express, signing in, managed to make their way to their room. Yoru got a basic room next to March, and for some reason, Stelle still got a luxury room.
Perhaps Yoru wasn't as lucky as he hoped himself to be. If things were still going somewhat according to the story, Stelle should be getting into trouble with Acheron.
Whatever, that had nothing to do with him. Stretching, Yoru moved towards the Dreampool.
Following the instructions, he relaxed. He felt the ebb and flow of his body, and focused on breathing. Imagining he was in paradise, a dream land, Yoru was suddenly thrust into the Land of Dreams, the Golden Hour.
Of course, falling from about a million meters up.
"Oh. Well... crap."
Yoru screamed, falling down face first into the beginning of the Golden Hour.
SLAM!
He felt no pain. Standing up, Yoru was slightly disoriented. Looking forward, he saw Stelle.
"How did you get in here before me?"
"I win!"
Behind Stelle, a Halovian lady and man stood. It seemed they were turning people to the memoria of the Dreamscape, like how the story went.
"Is this your friend, Stelle?" The lady asked, tilting her head, her green eyes staring into Yoru's.
"He's a crewmate. Could you also help him?" Stelle responded. "Oh, right, Yoru—this is Robin. Her brother is Sunday.
Yoru nodded. He already knew of the two from his time playing the game, but seeing them in person... or in a dream, was a surreal experience.
Following Robin's instructions, Yoru got used to the dreamscape, the difficulties he was having earlier feeling like a distant memory.
"You two should be free to explore the dreamscape now! Enjoy the beautiful dreamscape The Family has built for everyone. We shall take our leave. Have a blast!"
With Robin's parting words, the pair left, leaving Yoru and Stelle standing together.
"Yoru," Stelle said. "March messaged me and said she was in the Moment of Dusk. But she said to check out the Dreamscape Sales Store."
"That's not a competition."
"Yeah, whatever, the competition is to see who can spend more of Mister Yang's credits."
"Alright. I'm winning that, just so you know."
"Nope!" Stelle called out, before rushing off in a random direction, with Yoru following suit.
"There's no minimap for me to follow here... but surely I won't get lost, right?"
