Chapter 154 - Chapter 154 Is This a Book?

"Hm? When did you guys get here?!" Dvalin saw the Abyss Mages huddled in front of the book and immediately closed the giant tome.

When did these guys arrive? Dvalin's gaze towards the Abyss Mages began to turn unfriendly.

Now, he wanted to cut ties with the Abyss Mages. He had associated with them before because they were the only ones who found him after he reawakened.

He feared loneliness, so he was willing to mingle with the Abyss Mages, even if they had ill intentions, even if they had once been enemies.

"Eh? Why did you close it? Let's look again!" The Pyro Abyss Mage was more anxious than anyone when he saw Dvalin close the giant book.

"Aren't you guys supposed to hate humans?" Dvalin looked at the Abyss Mages clinging to the giant book, more eager than he was, and asked in confusion.

This question snapped the Abyss Mages back to reality. The Pyro Abyss Mage belatedly patted the fur on his chest, looking with trepidation at the stone book in front of Dvalin.

What just happened to him? Why did he feel a fondness for a human? And why was the scene depicted in that illustration so utterly different from the style of The Seven Nations of Teyvat? Could it be the ruins of some ancient civilization?

After a brief moment of calm, more questions surfaced in the Pyro Abyss Mage's mind. But these questions could be set aside for now.

What was most important now was the change in Dvalin; such powerful combat strength, if he could be brought into The Order, then The Order's future plans would be much easier.

"Stormterror, where did you get these things?" The Pyro Abyss Mage looked at the stone book beside him, which was even larger than himself, and asked in confusion.

This style of book had never appeared in the records of the Abyss Order. And Dvalin had always been within their sight; there was no way he could have gone out and found it.

It must have been brought by that white dragon just now.

However, Dvalin did not answer the Abyss Mage's question. He looked up at the Abyss Mages in front of him, clad in elemental shields of various colors, and said:

"You guys should leave. Don't look for me anymore. I'll take care of the corrupted blood myself; I won't trouble you."

Then Dvalin thought for a moment and continued, "Regardless, thank you for your companionship during this time. In the future, if I see you, I will not attack first."

Most Abyss Mages were as mad and chaotic as the abyss itself, but these four guys in front of him were different. They... they seemed to be anomalies within the Abyss Order.

Anyway, Dvalin could get along with them.

With that said, Dvalin lay back down and continued to flip through the giant book. The Abyss Mages listened to Dvalin's words and couldn't help but look at each other.

Dvalin's change was too sudden, wasn't it? Although Dvalin's expression was never good when he saw them, this was the first time he had directly driven them away.

"Are you sure? Besides our Abyss Order, no one can deal with your corrupted blood." The Pyro Abyss Mage floated in front of Dvalin, speaking like a warning.

"I don't need you anymore. To be honest, your aura is very similar to the corrupted blood; I feel uncomfortable every time I see you. So, you should leave." Dvalin snorted a puff of hot air from his nostrils.

The aura of the Abyss Mages and the aura of the corrupted blood were so similar that he sometimes had some unpleasant associations.

These associations had no evidence, so Dvalin did not voice them.

"You want to..."

"Let's go!"

A Cryo Abyss Mage was about to say something, but the Pyro Abyss Mage directly interrupted him. He nodded at Dvalin, then led his companions out of the Domain.

"Why did you stop me from speaking!" The Cryo Abyss Mage was very displeased with the Pyro Abyss Mage's recent actions.

"He has already noticed something." The Pyro Abyss Mage tried hard to control his face, making his already somewhat small orange eyes even smaller.

This made him look more cunning, but in the Pyro Abyss Mage's own view, this was a symbol of wisdom.

The Abyss Order helping to heal the corrupted blood? That was a narrative only naive fellows like Dvalin, who were inexperienced in the ways of the world, would believe.

When Dvalin first allowed the Abyss Order to touch his corrupted blood, the corrosion of the abyss had already entered his body along with the corrupted blood.

This corrosion usually lay hidden within Dvalin's body, subtly influencing his inner self. However, when needed, the corrosion could be made to erupt.

For Dvalin to want to break free from the Abyss Order now was simply a fool's dream!

"Hold your ground and observe further." The Pyro Abyss Mage looked through the wind's eye at Dvalin, who was wagging his tail and seemed extraordinarily happy, his mind filled with unknown thoughts...

"I'm back!" On the grassy plains outside Stormterror's Lair, a huge shadow covered Yu Jin's body.

Then the shadow disappeared, and a woman descended from the sky—it was Lanssangx, who had just finished conversing with Dvalin.

"Talking for so long?" Yu Jin walked over, looking at Lanssangx and asking. Lanssangx and Dvalin had chatted for a full day, and Yu Jin was genuinely curious about what they had talked about.

"Yes, that long." Lanssangx nodded, then said, "I told Dvalin stories about the dragon race and such. You know our dragon race's stories are very long."

Yu Jin nodded, pretending to understand, because no one had ever told him stories, and as for dragon stories? He had never even heard of them.

Lanssangx recalled Dvalin's reaction and couldn't help but chuckle, "Speaking of which, Dvalin really is like the little hatchlings back home, he loves stories and is very curious."

"That's for sure. He's been a dragon since birth, and his only friend is a guy who's never around. Seeing you, a fellow kin, wouldn't his curiosity explode?"

Yu Jin had an 'I knew it all along' expression. This was also why he had asked Lanssangx to come. They were both dragons, so it was easy to start a conversation.

Lanssangx agreed wholeheartedly with Yu Jin's words. Dragons who actively sought knowledge were rare.

"Oh, right, King. Can you translate our dragon race's books into the language of this world?" Lanssangx thought of the books she had given Dvalin and asked Yu Jin.

"Can't you translate it yourself?" Yu Jin retorted. Lanssangx herself knew the common language of Teyvat; she could also translate.

"I'm not proficient enough. I'm fine with conversation, but translating books might be beyond me." Lanssangx scratched her head a bit awkwardly; she was quite self-aware on this point.

Yu Jin stroked his chin in thought, then quietly leaned in and whispered to Lanssangx, "It's possible, but be careful when spreading the dragon faith, don't let the Church of Favonius catch you."

Although Venti himself wouldn't care if other faiths spread in Mondstadt, this was ultimately the Anemo God's territory, with a large number of Anemo God believers.

If Lanssangx were caught by others for spreading the dragon faith, Yu Jin would still have to bail her out.

Lanssangx's face was covered in black lines after hearing Yu Jin's words. She waved her hand and said helplessly, "King, what are you thinking?! Who said I was going to spread the dragon faith?"

The dragons of Teyvat and the dragons of The Lands Between were very different. To spread the dragon faith, there would need to be dragons permanently stationed in Teyvat, modifications to the Prayer, and so on.

Just thinking about these things gave Lanssangx a headache, so she had no intention of spreading the dragon faith here.

"Then what do you want to do?" Yu Jin looked at Lanssangx and asked, puzzled.

"Of course, it's for Dvalin! I gave him books, but then I realized the text was the Dragon Script of The Lands Between, and he couldn't understand it. There was nothing I could do, so I came to you, of course." Lanssangx spread her hands, looking at Yu Jin as she spoke.

"Alright then." Yu Jin nodded. Anyway, he had already intended to agree. It didn't matter whether Lanssangx used them to spread the dragon faith or give them to Dvalin.

Wandering about, Yu Jin and Lanssangx returned to their house in Mondstadt.

"Bring me the original you want translated, and I'll translate it accordingly." Yu Jin held a blank book in his hand and gestured to Lanssangx.

"Let's go outside, King." Lanssangx gave an awkward yet polite smile and ran into the courtyard.

Yu Jin was utterly confused, but he followed Lanssangx into the small courtyard.

"These are the books you were talking about?!"

Yu Jin looked at the two "books" that resembled stone pillars, larger than himself, and exclaimed in surprise.

Are these things really not bricks used by dragons for fighting? A ridiculous thought suddenly popped into Yu Jin's mind.

"Yes, these are books, our dragon race's books." Lanssangx nodded affirmatively. These were definitely not bricks!
