"Brother, thank goodness you're the prince in this world. Otherwise…"
Just thinking about the possibility of parallel worlds sent a chill down her spine. Her mind felt like it had been thoroughly polluted.
"Uh…"
After being reminded, Aether thought of it too, and the corners of his mouth twitched wildly.
If his sister was the Princess of the Abyss Order, then the one Rerir had been playing would be the princess herself. The moment he imagined having to face a guy in drag, his stomach churned.
Good grief, he really shouldn't think about it. Being the prince in this world was genuinely a stroke of luck.
"Rerir, want to fight?" Aether forced that image out of his mind. He absolutely could not keep thinking about it.
"…"
Rerir left.
Less than a tenth of his strength remained. There was no need to stake his life against the Prince of the Abyss Order.
Besides, that blue-haired woman looked harmless enough on the surface, but his instincts were screaming that she was dangerous. He could not afford to confront her.
"He ran pretty fast. Want to head back to the North and stay there for a few days?" Eliya said.
Aether could not help sweating at that. That really was not necessary. There was no need for her to step in.
Tiamat governed the Principle of Regression. If she truly erupted here in Teyvat, the Sea of Chaos might swallow the entire world whole.
Unless there was absolutely no other choice, it was better not to let Tiamat act. He could fight too.
"Forget it, Aether. Let's keep adventuring."
"Tia-mama, are you tired? It must've been exhausting helping look for this place," Eliya asked with concern.
Tiamat shook her head. She did not feel tired at all.
"You should still get some proper rest, Tia-mama."
Eliya brought Tiamat into the Serenitea Pot, then came back out herself. If Tiamat got bored, she could always go play with the slimes.
…
Jade Chamber.
"So comfy~"
There was no doubt that the materials used in Ningguang's bed were the finest available. Koji lay on it and could not find a single fault with it. There was even a lovely fragrance lingering there, presumably Ningguang's own scent.
"Koji, you really don't stand on ceremony at all, do you? You even dare lie on my bed whenever you like," Ningguang said, amused.
"Who are we to each other? Want to come lie down with me?" Koji patted the empty space beside him. Ningguang's large bed could easily fit three or four people.
Ningguang sat beside him, her graceful curves settling perfectly against the bed.
"Sis, you smell amazing~" Koji wrapped his arms around Ningguang. Warm, soft, and delicate, she felt like a beautiful serpent with boneless elegance.
Ningguang felt the heat of his body against her back, along with the large hand resting on her lower abdomen. A faint blush spread across her lovely face. At such close range, even she found it hard to stay completely composed.
Still, it felt reassuring.
There was a feeling of having someone to rely on.
From an ordinary little girl to where she stood now, she had mainly relied on herself. She had never truly had a powerful backer.
"Compared to the others, am I harder to handle when you hold me?" Koji asked with a grin.
"Each has her own charms, I suppose. The flesh on your body is quite soft. You really haven't exercised much," Koji said in a mock-serious tone, offering his evaluation.
Ningguang nodded. That was true enough. She really did exercise very little, so there was none of that tight, toned muscle on her body.
She was the Tianquan. The matters she oversaw could all be resolved indoors, so there was no need for her to go out and work up a sweat.
"My, seeing something like this… I won't get silenced by Lady Tianquan for it, will I?"
A mature woman's voice sounded out. Yelan leaned against the doorframe, her pupils shrinking sharply.
Very few outsiders were allowed onto the Jade Chamber, let alone into Ningguang's bedroom. Yelan, however, was a special case, since she and Ningguang worked closely together in many matters.
"Perhaps you will, Yelan. Did you need something?" Ningguang showed no sign of panic. Even if her relationship with Koji was exposed, it was no great matter.
It was not some shameful affair. If others knew, then they knew.
"Nothing much. Just letting you know I'm heading to Nod-Krai. No need to look for me if something comes up," Yelan said.
Ningguang was not surprised. Yelan had been to Nod-Krai many times before.
There was no particular need for Yelan in Liyue at the moment anyway.
"Oh, right. While I'm in Nod-Krai, you two aren't going to get married without me, are you? I'd hate to miss it," Yelan teased.
"No. And even if we did get married, there's no way we'd forget you," Ningguang said, rolling her eyes.
"So I've been caught. Isn't that a bit too much of a coincidence?" Koji said with a laugh.
"Yelan probably saw you come up here, then deliberately picked this moment to come over," Ningguang said, unsurprised.
With Yelan's intelligence-gathering abilities, doing something like that was easy for her.
"The next time I assign tasks, I'll make sure to give her a few more. She's clearly too idle," Ningguang said lightly.
Koji spared a few seconds of sympathy for Yelan. Offending Ningguang was truly asking to be crushed.
Even if Yelan was only Ningguang's partner, the status of the Qixing was simply too extraordinary.
"A strong, commanding Ningguang is really something," Koji said with a smile.
"What? Do you have a strong urge to conquer me?" Ningguang asked, amusement flickering in her voice.
She understood those kinds of things well enough. A woman in a lofty position like hers often stirred a man's desire to conquer. And once conquered, the sense of achievement would naturally be immense.
"Mm, that's true. In Liyue, you could be called someone standing at the very peak. How could a person like that not make others want to try conquering her?" Koji nodded. He was only telling the truth.
There were probably enough men in Liyue who wanted to conquer Ningguang to form a line all the way to Mondstadt.
Ningguang was not angry. She, too, wanted to know what it felt like to be conquered.
It was just that no one had ever been able to do such a thing.
Koji, however, suited her tastes perfectly.
"Would you like to experience it?" Ningguang's voice carried a trace of seduction.
She could feel her heartbeat quickening. She was not so embarrassed that she could not face him, but she was undeniably nervous.
"Then I'll have to savor it properly."
Koji felt his blood heat up as he studied Ningguang's face with full attention.
Ningguang, the Tianquan.
Wealthy enough to rival nations, bright-eyed and radiant, so beautiful that peach blossoms and apricot flowers would pale before her.
Her lofty position and incomparable wealth gave this remarkable woman an untouchable nobility. How could that not make someone want to conquer her?
Ningguang did not look away either. Though her cheeks were flushed red, she still met Koji's gaze directly. Those vermilion eyes were full of alluring charm.
Her exquisitely crafted qipao slipped down, revealing a flawless white body. Every inch of skin seemed to glow like fine jade, and her perfect curves formed a golden proportion that made one's heart race.
After making sure the room was soundproofed, Koji began to savor Lady Tianquan's charms.
It was not long before sweet, captivating sounds began to echo through the room, tugging at the heartstrings. It was as though spring had quietly arrived, everything coming back to life, while a little stream began to flow once more…
