Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Early Morning

The next day.

"Ah— you little brat, go to hell!"

A loud, furious shout echoed from Tsunade's room, followed by Kairen being punched straight out of it.

He was completely naked, flying out into the sunlight in broad daylight.

Kairen burst into smoke and instantly reformed, this time clothed in his usual gray short-sleeved outfit.

Tsunade stood at the doorway wrapped in a robe, glaring at him with blazing fury.

"You damned brat! Who told you to climb into my bed? And completely naked, too!"

Kairen spread his hands helplessly.

"I didn't do anything!"

"You bastard! Maybe you didn't do anything, but you were still pressed right up against me!"

Kairen's expression turned solemn and sincere.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, Tsunade-san!"

Tsunade snorted and shook her head. In her mind, Kairen's innocent phase was long gone— he was completely, hopelessly corrupted.

Still, she couldn't deny another thought. As the last surviving heir of the Senju clan, a bit of… "perversion" might not be such a bad thing. At least it would help ensure the family line wouldn't end with him.

After that, Tsunade sighed, turned, and went back into her room to change. She had plenty to take care of today.

There's a saying: "A year's plan starts in spring, a day's plan starts in the morning."

Kairen patted his stomach, created a Shadow Clone, and sent it to buy breakfast.

He himself sat cross-legged on the wooden floor, thinking about what to do during the downtime before the Chūnin Exams.

With no war on any of the three battlefronts, he wasn't sure where to go next— maybe he should visit Danzō and test how far Root's patience could stretch.

Before long, Tsunade emerged, fully dressed.

She wore a cream-colored blouse with a black belt around her waist, her smooth, pale thighs exposed beneath the hem.

Kairen secretly regretted getting so drunk last night— he hadn't even managed to take advantage of the situation a little.

When his Shadow Clone returned with breakfast, Kairen handed Tsunade a fried dough stick.

"Tsunade-san, have an oil stick first— the soy milk's on the way."

Tsunade took it from him, and soon after, Kurenai and Shizune woke up as well.

They sat together eating Kairen's breakfast— fried dough sticks and soy milk. After they finished, Tsunade stood.

"I'm going to file your team formation application. You three can train on your own this morning!"

All three nodded.

Once Tsunade left, Kairen looked at Kurenai and Shizune.

"Do you two want to sit down for a bit?"

Kurenai blinked.

"What?!"

Kairen froze.

"No, no— I mean, what kind of jutsu are you two planning to train today?"

"I'm practicing Genjutsu!"

"I'm training in medical ninjutsu!"

Kairen nodded.

He split off two Shadow Clones and pointed to them.

"Then let these two guide you!"

He was quite talented in Genjutsu himself— his aptitude there was top-tier.

And medical ninjutsu? He'd recently learned the Mystical Palm Technique, after all.

Kurenai and Shizune both nodded and followed their assigned clones to train.

Once they were gone, Kairen lay back on the floor, deep in thought about what to do next.

Wolon and Fenchu— his two chubby little panda cubs— ran out from the inner room and clung to his shoulders, one on each side.

"Mm~"

Their soft chirps made it obvious they wanted bamboo… and a bowl of milk, too.

Kairen created another Shadow Clone to search the village for any bamboo leaves.

He couldn't let the Moku Clan's two "strategic advisors" go hungry.

When that clone departed, Kairen sat and thought again— but found no inspiration.

So he carried Wolon and Fenchu into his room and snapped his fingers.

In an instant, around forty Shadow Clones appeared— some sitting, some standing, some hanging from the ceiling, and even one in a wheelchair.

Kairen closed the door.

Then, from within came a serious voice:

"Now, the Conference begins!"

...

Inside the room, two Shadow Clones stood near the door, both wearing suits and sunglasses, looking dead serious.

Kairen sat cross-legged on his bed while Wolon and Fenchu rolled around on the pillow beside him.

The atmosphere in the room was as solemn as a royal court.

Beside Kairen stood one clone— nicknamed Cannon— pinching his fingers delicately and speaking in a sharp, high-pitched voice.

"If you have something to report, speak! If not, court is dismissed!"

One Shadow Clone raised his hand.

"How should we capture Tsunade?"

As soon as he said it, the air turned deathly silent, as if an enemy nation had breached their borders.

The Thief clone stood up and bowed.

"Thief has something to say!"

Kairen gestured for him to speak.

"Go ahead."

The Thief said, "Forget Tsunade and Yūhi Kurenai— we should set our sights on Kushina and Uchiha Mikoto instead."

Several clones nodded in agreement.

"He is right!"

Kairen shook his head.

"I am a man of great love— my ambitions reach across the entire Shinobi World. How could I hang myself on two already-married trees?"

"Boss, wise as always!" Cannon flattered instantly.

Then Cannon rolled his eyes thoughtfully.

"I think we could create a Genjutsu— a Dream of Spring Genjutsu for Tsunade!"

"In the dreams, the leading man would be you, Boss! After dozens of those dreams, Princess Tsunade would definitely fall head over heels for you!"

The clones from the Cannon faction all agreed enthusiastically.

"Brilliant, Chief of Artillery!"

Kairen nodded, giving Cannon a thumbs-up.

"You're a clever little rascal!"

"Ah, Boss, you flatter me!" Cannon said modestly, grinning.

Then Kairen turned toward Wolon and Fenchu, gesturing respectfully.

"And what say our two great strategists?"

Wolon and Fenchu blinked.

⊙_⊙?

"Mm~?"

Kairen nodded solemnly.

"To meet change with stillness, to face movement with constancy— you mean to say we should respond flexibly to any situation? Brilliant, brilliant!"

"Mm??"

The other clones cheered.

"With Wolon and Fenchu as our counselors, we shall surely sweep the land and establish an everlasting legacy!"

"Two great sages— allow us to bow to you!"

A few clones even bowed seriously to the two little pandas.

Meanwhile, one clone— nicknamed Sasuke— stared blankly at the nonsense unfolding and shouted,

"Can we focus on real business already?!"

The surrounding clones pointed at him, yelling back.

"Shut up! We're discussing matters of the nation here!"

"Silence!" Cannon bellowed.

Kairen raised a hand, and the chaos slowly subsided.

He stroked Wolon's fur and said in a steady, righteous tone,

"We're trapped here in this remote mountain village, our path uncertain. My ministers, what strategies do you propose?"

The Thief clone stood, bowed deeply, and said,

"Thief has something to say!"

Kairen gestured again.

"Go ahead."

The Thief began pacing the open space in the middle of the room.

"This village has only about a hundred thousand people. It's not even a proper district— a backwater that limits our potential."

"I suggest that, my King, you enter the political stage of the Land of Fire. Start with the daimyō. Control him, and you control the Hokage. From there, seize the nation's economy and gradually undermine the daimyō's authority."

"Once our influence spreads, we can confront Konohagakure directly— perhaps even install our own Hokage. Within five years, we could unify the entire Shinobi World and found a great empire!"

Kairen listened quietly, then commented,

"This is the path of a schemer. But I bear the Infinite Resurrection System— I am one chosen by fate. Wherever the flames of war burn the brightest, that's where I belong. I shall walk the Path of Asura."

The Thief bowed again, adding,

"Wise as ever, my King!"

Then a pineapple-headed clone— the Scholar— stood. His forehead was marked with the words [Top Student], and he bore the calm intellect of the Nara clan.

The true strategist of the bunch, he spoke slowly.

"We can plan for the future later. For now, let's focus on what we fear most— sealing techniques. If we get sealed, it's over."

Kairen smiled.

"No worries. I've already fixed the flaw where the death of the original dispels the clones. If I make a thousand Shadow Clones, how will they know which one's the real me?"

Even an Ōtsutsuki's eye couldn't distinguish between them— what chance did ordinary shinobi have?

The Scholar nodded.

"Still, it's best to have a backup plan. Just in case."

The room erupted again with a flood of ideas.

Some said, "Let's just defect. That way, we'll have freedom and won't have to fear Konoha's higher-ups."

Others suggested, "Capture Kushina and study her seal to create our own anti-sealing technique."

Another said, "Konoha doesn't even have adult entertainment clubs— we should head to the big cities and blow off some steam first."

One clone pouted.

"Why not just ask System? System always good to us— he wouldn't let us get sealed, right?"

At that, the entire room fell silent.

They all had cheats— why use their brains at all?

Kairen gave that clone a big thumbs-up.

"Now that is a fine plan!"

He entered the system space immediately.

"System, system! If I get sealed, what can I do?"

The Infinite Resurrection System's voice replied:

"Host can spend experience points to analyze and thus break the sealing technique!"

Kairen slapped his thigh.

"Damn! So all it takes is experience points! What the hell are we worried about?!"

All the Shadow Clones burst into laughter.

"We have no weaknesses! From this day forth, none in the Shinobi World can oppose us!"
