Chapter 40 - CHAPTER - 40 COMPLETE UNION

The first rays of the morning sun had just spread over the city when Ignisa received worrying news — strange movements had started near the Mehan Mountains. Waves of spiritual energy were spreading everywhere.

Ignisa went to the palace to share this news with Lily.

Lily said firmly,

"We must go there, or all our hard work and the money we spent will be wasted."

Ignisa frowned slightly and said,

"I don't know… but something doesn't feel right. It's too soon."

Lily nodded softly and said,

"Yes… it is early. We have been here for less than a month, while it should have taken more than a month for this to happen."

Just then, Snehwal suddenly showed up. He stretched his arms and said,

"Yes, I'm getting bored too. Going outside sounds fun. If we go to the Mehan Mountains, I'll get a little trip too."

Lily walked toward him, grabbed both his cheeks, and said,

"Sweetheart, this isn't that easy. You're the weakest among the four of us! Aren't you even a little worried that someone might hurt you?"

Snehwal smiled playfully and said,

"Afraid of what? Why should I be scared when a beautiful warrior like you is with me?"

Lily quickly pulled his cheeks again.

Snehwal groaned, "Ouch! That hurts! I was just joking!"

Lily crossed her arms and said,

"Joking? You're still joking? This is serious!"

Snehwal rubbed his cheek proudly and said,

"I'll become great by facing challenges — that's my motto for all wisdom and learning!"

Lily sighed and said,

"Looks like you ate too much green herb last night and didn't sleep enough either. That's why you're talking like this."

Snehwal chuckled, "No, but someone gave me a little less love last night."

Lily looked at him with her lovely eyes — eyes that showed a quiet, unspoken affection.

For a moment, Snehwal froze, just staring at her.

Lily smiled softly,

"Go and get ready first. Seems like you're still half asleep."

Saying that, she walked away.

Snehwal scratched his head and muttered,

"What did I do wrong now? I've never even read a love story on Earth… yet somehow, I think I'm starting to understand what love really is."

He ran his fingers through his hair, took a deep breath, and then went outside toward the waterfall to take a bath.

Beneath the Waterfall,

The sound of rushing water filled the air. Mist danced over the rocks like silver threads.

Snehwal stood under the waterfall, lost in thought, letting the cool stream wash over him.

Lily arrived quietly. She dipped her hand into the water and whispered,

"The water feels too calm today… let's make it a little warmer."

Her smile was gentle, her aura soft yet bright.

She stepped closer, her eyes filled with calm affection.

"This morning you seemed sad," she said softly.

"I can't see you like that… let me comfort you."

Snehwal turned toward her, and for a moment, everything else vanished.

Her touch carried warmth — not of power, but of feeling.

He felt his heart stir, as if every beat was syncing with hers.

The air shimmered faintly with white spiritual energy.

Water droplets floated around them like tiny lights.

For a while, the world seemed still — there was only the sound of the waterfall and the rhythm of two hearts finding peace in each other.

It was a moment neither of them would ever forget —

a quiet bond sealed beneath the morning sun.

After some time, they sat beside the waterfall, wrapped in the calm glow of the forest.

Lily smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"You tell me," she said. "Are you happy?"

Snehwal replied,

"Very much. More than I ever thought I could be."

Lily laughed gently and pulled the white cloth closer around them.

"One more moment like this," she whispered.

Snehwal chuckled,

"As many as you wish, goddess."

Their laughter blended with the soft sound of flowing water, like a melody meant only for them.

Meanwhile, back in the palace, Ignisa was pacing impatiently.

"Where has Lily been missing for one hour?" she muttered. "All three are gone!"

Moments later, Snehwal and Lily returned, their clothes fresh and spirits light.

Lily playfully bumped his shoulder and said,

"So? Was it fun? Are you happy now? Do you still have any wish left?"

Snehwal grinned,

"I'm happy. Are you happy? Or am I too easy to please?"

Lily pushed him gently, laughing,

"You are too loose!"

Snehwal looked at her, pretending to be offended,

"Really?"

The laughter between them echoed like sunlight on water — light, bright, and full of promise.
