After traveling for 6 hours, the Tracen Academy crowd finally arrived at their summer training camp location–a wide stretch of beach and a compound of inns. The young man looked at their locations on Google Maps and calculated that the beach was approximately 2 kilometers in length.
Tch! Not enough to train Teio's long-distance aptitude.
"Report, Sir!! There was a small skirmish with the Fuji Academy's forces!! There are some heavily injured members, but no deaths!!"
"Good job!! Bring the wounded to the inn and treat them immediately!!"
The young man overheard the PMC talking and remembered the scene on the road. Aoi and Riko had fallen asleep since it was a long trip when a bunch of rigged vehicles closed in on their bus. The vehicles look something out of the apocalypse with spears, spikes, mounted miniguns, and nitros. The Tracen PMC quickly intercepts them, and a battle ensued.
The PMC were kicking their asses since the former is much better equipped than their adversaries, but the latter have spirits. At one point, the young man saw an umamusume spraying her mouth with chrome spraypaint before yelling–
"WITNESS ME!!!"
–and jump at one of Tracen's tanks while holding on 2 explosive spears. Of course that do Jack Shit against a tank's armor.
"Yaaawwn~~ Let's go to our room and put our stuff. There won't be any training."
"You're right."
The Tracen Academy group might be staying in a compound of inns, but trainers' and trainees' inns are separated by quite a distance. On one end is the trainees' inns, then the gym building, then an open-air garden, then an onsen, then the PMC checkpoint, and the last one is the trainers' inns. And the PMC members wouldn't only be stationed at the checkpoint, but they will patrol all around the compound to stop any umamusume from trying anything funny.
"Let's see… Room three hundred and sixty-nine. Noice~"
The young man walks down the trainers' inn's hallway and arrives at his room. He unlocks the door using the key and pushes it open. He quickly notices that there are barely any differences between this room and his room at Tracen Academy.
Sigh… I'm here to work after all. Not for a vacation.
The young man unpacks his stuff and puts it all in their appropriate place before he can finally let out a breath of relief. He looks out of his window and sees the beautiful white-sand beach. His room is on the third floor, which allows him to get a good view of the surroundings.
"Maaaan… I'm really here, huh…"
The young man is struck by the realization of just how far he has traveled in this world. From being born because of the Goddesses' stupid action to climbing up the world to challenge them.
"Sigh… I'm almost there… I can do this…"
The young man pumps himself up before lying his tired body on the bed. His eyes get heavy as time goes on, and eventually, lady sleep takes him to the dream world. He thanks her, not knowing that she is an agent of the three Goddesses.
"My~ My~ He is so confident, and yet so wrong. So cute~~"
"I really want to teach him a lesson about being overconfident."
"Now, Byerley, that part of him helps us, so it's better if we let it go."
The wind invades the sleeping young man's room, bringing with it the 3 Goddesses. The blue-haired goddess put her hand on the young man's stomach, activating the tattoo they had put on him during the fan fest.
"Now he wouldn't wake up even if the world is ending."
"Good. It's time we continue where we left off. Tokino Minoru isn't here to stop us now."
"Thank you for the food."

Unlike the trainer who gets their own room, the trainees have to share one room with 5 other umamusumes. They also have to sleep on the tatami floor using a futon. Thankfully, they have their own individual wardrobe.
"It must be fun to be Teio's teammate, right, McQueen?"
"Well… Sometimes. I feel more like a mother rather than a teammate."
McQueen is in the same room as Ikuno Dictus, Tokai Teio, Mayano Top Gun, Silence Suzuka, and Happy Meek.
"If you don't believe me, go ask Suzuka."
"Ahahahaha… Well… There's never been a boring day in Minaz. How is team Canopus, Ikuno?"
"Let's just say, I understand how you are feeling when it feels like sometimes you are a mother rather than a teammate."
"Ahahahaha…"
The trainees put their stuff inside their own wardrobes before sitting in a circle in the middle of the room.
"What shall we do then? If nobody has an idea, can we visit the onsen?"
"I don't think that's a bad idea! But what about if we visit it in the evening? I don't want to sweat again after taking a dip in the onsen."
"I agree, but that still leaves us with quite a bit of time to spend. What should we do?"
"We can always walk around. It might help us if we got lost in the future."
"Alright. Let's lock the door before we go, shall we?"
"Ah! Suzuka! Do you think we should call trainer Igo? Knowing him, he is probably up to no good. It's better if he comes with us."
"Yeah… He is hurt as well. Maybe we can help him heal mentally."
"Okay!! Let me call him!!"
