Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The meeting council

Ling attended her first council meeting as a representative of the sorcerers. She was nervous but determined to make a good impression. The council members were all high-ranking officials in the kingdom, and they seemed to be watching her every move.

The meeting began with a discussion of the kingdom's current state of affairs. Ling listened intently, taking mental notes and preparing to contribute to the discussion. When asked for her thoughts, Ling spoke confidently about strengthening the kingdom's magical defenses.

The council members nodded in agreement, and the king smiled. "I think that's an excellent idea, Ling," he said. "We'll discuss it further and see what we can do."

As the meeting progressed, Ling felt more and more at ease. She was starting to get a sense of the council's dynamics and the issues that were important to them. She was impressed by the king's wisdom and leadership, and she was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the council.

But just as the meeting was wrapping up, a sudden commotion broke out outside the council chambers. The doors burst open, and a group of guards rushed in, looking frantic.

"What's going on?" the king demanded, his voice firm.

"It's the ancient evil's minions," one of the guards replied. "They've been spotted in the kingdom, and they're causing chaos."

The council members gasped in shock, and Ling's eyes widened in alarm. She knew that the ancient evil's minions were powerful and ruthless, and she wasn't sure if the kingdom was prepared to deal with them.

The king stood up, his face set in determination. "We'll need to take action immediately," he said. "Ling, I want you to work with the sorcerers to come up with a plan to defeat the minions. We'll need all the help we can get."

Ling nodded, her mind racing with ideas. She knew that this would be a challenge, but she was ready to do whatever it took her new role as a council member seriously.

As the council members dispersed to take action, Ling and Shin headed to the sorcerers' tower to come up with a plan. They spent hours brainstorming and strategizing, using all of their knowledge and skills to come up with a comprehensive plan to defeat the minions.

But just as they were finishing up, Ling received a mysterious message. "Meet me in the old windmill on the outskirts of town at midnight," the message read. "Come alone."

Ling's eyes widened in surprise as she showed the message to Shin. "What do you think this is about?" she asked.

Shin frowned, her eyes narrowing. "I don't know, but I don't like it," she said. "You shouldn't go alone. It's not safe."

Ling hesitated, unsure of what to do. But something about the message seemed mysterious and intriguing. She decided to go to the meeting, but she would be careful.

As the night wore on, Ling made her way to the old windmill. She was nervous but determined to uncover the truth. When she arrived, she saw a figure waiting for her in the shadows.

"Who are you?" Ling demanded, her voice firm.

The figure stepped forward, revealing a shocking identity. "I'm someone who knows the truth about the ancient evil," the figure said. "And I'm here to tell you that it's not what you think it is."

Ling's eyes widened in surprise as the figure began to reveal a mind-blowing truth. "The ancient evil is not a monster," the figure said. "It's a time-traveler from a different dimension. And you're the key to stopping it."

Ling's mind reeled as she tried to process this information. She had so many questions, but before she could ask any of them, the figure disappeared into thin air.

Ling was left standing alone in the windmill, feeling stunned and confused. But as she turned to leave, she heard a loud rumbling noise. The ground began to shake, and the windmill started to collapse.

Ling ran for her life, but as she emerged from the windmill, she saw something that made her jaw drop in shock. A giant robot was standing in front of her, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

"Whoa, what's going on here?" Ling exclaimed, stumbling backward in surprise.

The robot didn't respond, but instead spoke in a hilarious, robotic voice. "Greetings, human. I am the time-traveling robot sent to protect you from the ancient evil. And I'm here to take you on a wild adventure through time and space."

Ling's eyes widened in surprise as the robot grabbed her hand and started to drag her away. "This is crazy!" she exclaimed, laughing. "I've got a council meeting to attend, not a date with a robot!"

But the robot just chuckled and said, "Sorry, human.
