Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Sister

"Sue me? Of course, if you can afford the lawyer fees, André, I'm willing to appear in court."

Jennifer was obviously unconcerned by André's threat: "You can even call the police right now and have them come over. Want to try, André?"

With a snap of her fingers, a butler-dressed figure respectfully brought a "brick" to André.

André felt a sense of familiarity with this object. This was a handheld telephone produced by Titan Communications Company, currently a toy popular only among the wealthy class - the original owner's father had once owned one. It was said there were fewer than five million units worldwide, a symbol of wealth.

André turned his head away unwillingly, knowing it was useless. Although the Wiltonstein family had now moved their business center to Manhattan, America's first city, they remained one of Atlanta Police Department's largest donors. The family also had several branch descendants serving in high positions with real power at the police department.

One could imagine that even if this call went through, it would be ignored by the police station.

"I gave you a chance."

Jennifer smiled smugly: "So what's my answer? My dear brother, have you thought clearly about my previous proposal, André?"

"Don't call me so affectionately - I'm not your brother now, and I have nothing to do with the Wiltonstein family."

André responded coldly: "As for the answer you want, whatever I answered last time, it's the same this time."

He could feel the original owner's extreme rejection of the Wiltonstein family.

At this moment, André was also rapidly searching through his memories and quickly found the reason.

About ten days ago, Jennifer Wiltonstein had approached the original owner, planning to have him return to the Wiltonstein family. However, this required undergoing a magical ritual called "Pure Blood Spirit Sacrifice" and becoming the adopted son of his uncle Christian Wiltonstein.

As the name suggested, the "Pure Blood Spirit Sacrifice" could purify the Wiltonstein bloodline within André's body.

His uncle Christian Wiltonstein ranked ninth among the current Wiltonstein family head's several children.

However, due to Christian's outstanding abilities and his own powerful combat strength of level fifteen, he not only entered the top five in the family succession but also served as a major general in the Federal Defense Forces with great authority.

This was obviously a win-win "deal" - Christian, nearing thirty with no children, could gain a reliable pawn in the family and greatly enhance his competitiveness. André could also restore his wealthy lifestyle, even surpassing his former status, becoming an enviable noble offspring.

"You really are a hopeless fool!"

Jennifer's expression had turned gloomy: "This is Uncle Christian's charity to you, and an opportunity I fought hard to get for you! Don't be ungrateful! Do you know how many branch descendants in our family are hoping to be adopted by Christian? Those guys' magical qualifications could leave you in the dust."

"It might seem stupid in your eyes, but I just don't want to."

André responded indifferently, his tone sarcastic: "This requires me to wash away my father's bloodline, doesn't it, just like you, Jennifer Wiltonstein?"

Not just the original owner, but even he as an outsider found this behavior repugnant.

"So what? Blood from Easterners is pollution of our sacred Wiltonstein bloodline."

Jennifer hugged her body with slight disgust: "I only hate that the 'Pure Blood Spirit Sacrifice' can't wash away all of his blood! I really don't understand how stupid Mother was to marry an Easterner!"

André's eyes grew more somber: "Don't forget, without Father, there would be no you, and he never wronged you in any way."

According to the memories he had searched, the original owner's parents had indeed doted on this sister, treating her even better than they treated André himself.

Before transferring to Linden Academy, André had only been a student at a high-end private school. But Jennifer Wiltonstein had always attended America's finest noble boarding school, "Star Vein." His father Li Chunchu had done everything possible to provide Jennifer with everything he could give her - the best cultivation medicines, the best cosmetics, the best designer clothes and bags, so good that André, born eight years after Jennifer, was jealous to the point of mental imbalance.

But what was the result? His sister actually regarded their father's bloodline as shameful and hated it.

Understanding this, one could understand why the original owner was so disgusted with his sister.

He even suspected that his parents' deaths might have been due to the shock of Jennifer's "Pure Blood Spirit Sacrifice" eight months ago. This was naked betrayal, stabbing their parents in the heart.

The original owner could still clearly remember the scene of Li Chunchu's hair turning white overnight.

"Polluting the Wiltonstein family blood is his greatest sin. So what if he brought me into this world? There was a time when I wished I had never been born into this world."

Jennifer looked at André coldly with knife-like eyes: "You've never experienced what I went through - what right do you have to say these things?"

"I haven't experienced it, but I can guess."

André's lips curled coldly, laughing mockingly: "You just resented that our parents couldn't buy you 'Saint Laurent' brand clothing, couldn't let you live in the finest rooms at 'Star Vein,' and couldn't give you tens of millions to squander, so you were looked down upon and mocked by your classmates. So you regarded them as shameful—"

Suddenly a crisp "slap" sounded in the room. Before André could finish speaking, he felt his left cheek as if struck by an elephant's trunk, his entire body flying out until he hit the wall behind him.

André's face was already bleeding from nose and mouth, seeing stars, with buzzing in his ears.

He couldn't help but smile bitterly. Jennifer was able to slap him flying partly due to the element of surprise, and partly because her martial prowess was indeed impressive - according to this world's power classification, she was at least level twelve or above.

But most critically, his physical body was now completely destroyed, his soul severely injured, having lost the ability to constantly sense danger and respond instinctively.

However, he felt no anger or hatred, instead coughing dryly while coldly sneering: "What's this? Did I hit the mark, so you're embarrassed and angry?"
