Chapter 6 - Die for the Second Time

The Four Great Kings were surrounded. Yet instead of fear, they wore smug smiles. Their faces radiated arrogance, as if no creature in this world could challenge their power. Such expressions made my stomach churn.

"Attack them!" I shouted. Instantly, all the luminous beings encircling them are ready for attack.

Trendava faced his palms outward, and from them erupted a dense stream of electricity. Dark blue energy enveloped his form. Gradually, the energy in his hands condensed into a small, brilliant white sphere. He then roared, "Gravan!"

The blue light exploded in all directions, obliterating the surrounding luminous beings. Thanks to the knowledge I gained from Michael, I was aware of their every move. Gravan was a special technique of the Bropa, focusing on high-speed electrical currents into a single point. But this time, King Trendava chose to unleash an electrical surge over the entire area.

I quickly summoned a shield to block the energy. Though I managed to evade most of the attacks, I still felt some jolts from the power wielded by Bropa's leader.

"How could you withstand my assault?" Trendava demanded.

"I know all your techniques. There's no point in resisting; you cannot defeat me!"

"Don't be arrogant. Knowing our moves doesn't mean you can evade them. Take this!" Almunroteph leaped forward in an instant, shattering my shield into splinters. I was thrown back, piercing through the clouds.

Kalfrodumtra twirled his hands in the air, summoning a vortex of wind centered before him. Gradually, the winds grew stronger, spiraling into a massive tornado. He hurled it toward me, uprooting homes and sending them skyward.

Flisuanilitz executed a combination movement, creating a gigantic ring of fire that encircled the tornado. In an instant, the swirling tempest transformed into a fiery cyclone. Luckily, my armor absorbed the onslaught without feeling a trace of heat. I then shouted, "Phase Two: Radiant Surge!"

An invisible wave struck the tornado from the opposite direction, dispersing the storm in a flash. Seeing their teammate's power fail, Trendava unleashes another attack.

One by one, bolts of lightning were hurled at me with wild abandon. I could easily block them with my shield, but it was wiser not to take unnecessary risks. Dodging left, right, up, and down, I evaded every strike from Trendava.

All the balls of electricity leapt freely towards the city and mountains below, reducing houses to dust. As I continued to dodge their relentless onslaught, it became clear: this was a declaration of war. The Four Great Kings were furious. No more moral restraint; their only aim was to kill me.

They surrounded me from all sides. Left, right, above, and below, I was trapped. Their hands faced me, gathering a devastating energy akin to an atomic bomb. I had no time to think—this was too dangerous. In an instant, I shouted, "Elysium Light Form: Phase Three: Luminous Shield Maximum!"

A shield of golden light enveloped my body like a protective sphere.

They unleashed beams of white, annihilating energy. Upon contact with my shield, a cataclysmic explosion shook the heavens and earth. Lightning, fire, and light altered the sky's colors instantaneously. All beings below vanished in an instant—humans, buildings, and creatures, reduced to nothingness. Only a gaping chasm remained, as if a meteor had struck.

Damn! Their power was far greater than I had anticipated. This was a different battle than in Kandradinukha. If I failed, Michael would guide me, and I could try again until I succeeded. But this time, if I failed, only death awaited me. Even knowing all their moves, if they continued to cooperate like this, I was in grave danger.

I had no choice but to channel all my strength to the limit.

I poured every ounce of energy into the Sword of Blerit, causing it to glow with immense power. Its form began to shift, nearly becoming pure energy. Then I shouted, "Phase Nine: Heavenly Vortex!"

Suddenly, the bodies of the four kings were drawn toward my sword, as if pulled by an incredible gravitational force. Their energy vanished into the blade, causing it to shine even brighter.

Once their energy was fully absorbed, I swung the sword with all my might, unleashing a tremendous burst of power. The Four Great Kings were hurled in all directions. Even Almunroteph and Flisuanilitz crashed into the mountains.

The front of their mothership lay in ruins, a massive hole gaping in its side. My body was enveloped in an aura denser than before. I had absorbed all their power for a moment.

I had done it; I could defeat them all at once. With this strength, I could save Marky.

"You've gone too far, Rhinggamana!" Trendava's voice echoed across the sky. "This time, I will not hold back. Great Kings of all nations, unleash your full power!"

Trendava, Flisuanilitz, Almunroteph, and Kalfrodumtra went into a frenzy. They maximized their energies to nearly one hundred percent, their bodies surrounded by a golden aura, similar to my own. Trendava's form expanded beyond recognition. Infact, they had all doubled in size.

"Feel the consequences of defying the gods!" Trendava roared.

He shot toward me in the blink of an eye, moving at a speed that left me no time to form a shield. He struck my abdomen with a devastating punch, sending me soaring towards the sky, nearly touching the atmosphere. My armor cracked under the force. As I hung in the air, Almunroteph struck next, slamming his fist into my head and sending me plummeting.

Kalfrodumtra and Flisuanilitz awaited below, channeling their combined energies. Their hands faced the sky, gathering a cacophony of colorful particles. The hydrogen in the water vapor separated from the air, swirling in their grasp before being unleashed upon me.

But I didn't panic. I quickly summoned my protective shield.

"Phase Three: Luminous Shield!"

Yet I was unprepared for the sheer force of their combined attack. My shield shattered under the onslaught of their radiant energy. Thankfully, the armor bestowed by Gabriel served as a buffer against their strike. Alas, it began to crack, holes forming in its surface.

Trendava teleported behind me, kicking me in the back, sending me crashing onto the deck of their ship. Blood dripped from my mouth; the armor forged in heaven by Gabriel was slowly disintegrating. My body lay broken, covered in wounds.

"Now I will end your life!" Trendava shouted, hovering in the sky. His hand was cloaked in a blade of bright blue energy, crackling with electricity. The sky transformed into a brilliant blue, thunderclaps echoing as massive energy surged from him.

In a flash, he descended, aiming to slice my throat. But I refused to surrender. Summoning the last of my strength, I wielded the Sword of Blerit to parry Trendava's electrified blade. Our weapons clashed.

"This is the consequence of opposing us, the gods. If only you had chosen to join us, none of this would have happened," Trendava said, his expression one of triumph.

"You are not gods, and you will never be. You are no different from the mortals of this planet."

Almunroteph descended, declaring, "We may not be celestial beings born in heaven like our father, Adam. But you forget, we inherit his power. Your strength cannot match ours."

"Let's see about that!" I leapt back. Channeling every last bit of energy into the Sword of Blerit, I unleashed all my might at once. Gabriel's armor shattered instantly. My solid form transformed into light. Before vanishing from existence, I concentrated all that immense power on the Sword of Blerit.

The sword instantly turned into formless pure energy, then I shouted, "Phase Ten!"

Unfortunately, before I could finish my sentence, a sharp object suddenly cut through my right arm, causing the Blerit Sword to break free. The immense energy contained within the sword erupted, scattering in all directions across the city. The sword fell, crashing into the ground and creating a profound chasm. Thankfully, no creature perished, as the area had already been cleared by the previous assault.

As I turned to look behind, I discovered the cause of my broken hand was Flisuanilitz, a sly grin plastered across his face, brimming with triumph.

"You are nothing without that sword," Flisuanilitz taunted.

"That sword was a divine gift, bestowed upon me by the Creator. None of you can wield it!" I gasped, struggling to contain the pain in my wounded hand.

"Is that so? Well, we shall ensure you will never wield it again. Seal the sword!" He commanded.

Almunroteph and Kalfrodumtra ascended towards the mountains at the edge of the city, causing the very ground to tremble beneath their might. The few survivors who had managed to escape now fled in panic, their cries echoing through the streets.

Five seconds later, Almunroteph raised his arm high, alongside the mightiest mountain. A hush fell over the city, silencing the panic as one by one, they gaped in disbelief at the divine power before them. Without realizing it, they began to kneel, surrendering to their fate. Despair settled in; none believed they would survive.

With mountains poised above their heads, Almunroteph and Kalfrodumtra crashed the two peaks together, sending a powerful shockwave throughout the city. After the titanic stones shattered, they fused their might, transforming them into a new mountain, even larger than before. This new mountain descended upon the Sword of Blerit, and in an instant, the sword vanished from existence. I was left devoid of power, my life flashing before my eyes. Drifting to the sweet memories of my wife and son.

Perhaps I deserved this. Perhaps this is God's punishment for choosing vengeance over his duty.

I'm sorry Marky, I can not save you. I've failed as your father.

Almunroteph and Kalfrodumtra then approached, ready to end the battle. Trendava declared, "This time, we shall ensure you cannot rise from death again."

The four figures ensnared me within a sphere of glowing red energy, casting me down upon the mountaintop where my sword was trapped. Trendava lifted both hands, forming a shimmering triangular symbol, and recited a full incantation: "O cursed soul trapped within this power, you shall know neither life nor death. Only the tears of the pure, unblemished one can free you from this fate."

As the incantation echoed, the magic circle that bound me transformed into a colossal tree, enveloping me in an eternal embrace.
