"Fancy seeing you here, Mr. Reyes."
Raya's voice was light, almost casual, as she turned slightly toward Lucas. Her lips curved into a polite smile, the kind that hid more than it revealed. Anyone watching closely would think she was calm.
She wasn't.
Lucas lifted a brow, clearly amused.
"I can't help it," he said lightly. "I always seem to be wherever my love is."
He punctuated the words by blowing an exaggerated kiss in Adrian's direction.
Adrian didn't even spare him a glance.
No reaction. No irritation. No acknowledgment at all.
That indifference, so effortless, so practiced, and that was what made it strange.
