The story begins with a man but not just any man a great leader of the kingdom of domina's army, sigurd wolfblood.
Sigurd says
"Alva where's Art he's late for his training again"
Alva is Sigurd's wife and Art is his middle child, Artorias.
Alva says
" he's outside maybe playing with a friend,
Runa hand me that bucket please"
Runa, Sigurd's eldest child and his daughter.
Runa says
" which one mom"
Sigurd leaves the house to look for Art and after an hour of searching still no results, sigrud sigh's and decides to rest in the grass fields for a while.
We switch to Art who's following a lake stream to what look's like a small forest,
He reaches his destination, he smiles and starts running and jumps into the water surprising a fish-folk girl she seems to be the same age as Art which is 8 years, her name is "luminara".
Lumi screams and says to Art
"YOU SCARED ME"
Art smiles while saying
"He he got you back from last time"
Lumi looks at Art while pouting,
She gets out of the lake and climbs up a tree and says to Art
" i can do a better dive then you"
And jumps into the lake from the tree and makes a big splash, and Art thought he can do better, that kept going on until Art remembered something
"oh crap I forgot i had training with dad i have to go, bye lumi"
Lumi watches as Art get out of the lake and runs to the field
"ok, bye"
Art while running sees his dad laying in fields so he starts yelling
"Dad, dad sorry I forgot my training"
Art was panting from running, sigurd tells to calm down and then they can start training, after resting they start training, Sigurd gives Art a wooden sword and they spar for a while, while sparing Sigurd gives Art tips
"Keep your eyes on your opponent's movements, stay calm and collected"
Sigurd swings his sword knocking Art's sword out of his hands, Sigurd says to Art
"Again"
And it repeats over and over after training all noon, it's time they head back home,
They both get back and are greeted by Alva, Runa and two little kids named "Fai" the girl and "Rai" the boy and their the youngest children of Sigurd, alva tells Art to go bathe and then come down to eat,
They all eat dinner together after that everyone goes to bed early, Sigurd took Art to his room after laying in his bed Art asks his dad why he named "Artorias"
Sigurd looks sad but sits down on Art's bed and tells him the reason
"Back when i was young right before you were born i was a captain in the army and their was a war approaching, i was worried I might not be there for your mother, the man who was our leader "Sir Artorias" found out that not just my wife but many other wives of the soldiers were pregnant, so he gave us an order an it's to go back to our families, i refused I can't leave like a coward but he said to me and all the other soldiers"
"THIS IS AN ORDER LEAVE NOW OR THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES"
"That day while i was running back i said to myself if my child was a boy i will name him "Artorias" and then you were born"
Art takes a few seconds to process then smile's saying
"I was named after a cool guy"
Sigurd looks at him says
"Yes you were bud, now get some sleep the tournament is tomorrow you need to give it your best, okay?"
Art smile's and says
"Okay, goodnight dad"
"Goodnight kiddo"
Sigurd leave's Art's bedroom and closes the door after him, Art dozes off and falls asleep.
