Larissa's POV
I nodded, my throat tight. "What about the expenses?"
"Let's not think about that now."
"Joe."
He exhaled heavily. "Insurance covers some of it, but there's still a substantial amount we'll need to pay. Recovery costs, medications, follow-up appointments... it's going to be expensive."
"My company will handle everything," I stated without hesitation.
Joe's eyes widened. "Gary Enterprises offers that level of medical coverage?"
"It's... not straightforward. But yes, the funds will be available."
He searched my face, clearly curious but too exhausted to press further. "Alright, if that's what you say. Has Harlan shown up yet?"
"Not that I've seen."
"He's probably stuck in traffic. I left him a voicemail."
I glanced at my phone screen. No messages from our youngest brother. "I should try calling him again."
Before I could scroll through my contacts, Mom walked back over carrying two steaming cups. She offered one to me.
