Chapter 124: Infinite Tsukuyomi — Final Chapter
Renji waited in silence for Naruto and Sasuke to be revived.
Those two were like sponges—the more you wrung them with despair, the more Cursed Energy poured out. And whenever the sponge seemed tapped, someone like the Sage of Six Paths arrived to raise their limits again.
In the end, Renji profited. No one on this field wanted Naruto and Sasuke back more than he did.
While the Sage bestowed his boons, Renji studied the battlefield.
Senju Hashirama and Tobirama hung impaled on Madara's black rods—desecrated brothers-in-arms. Minato Namikaze, the Golden Flash, was a broken husk, both arms erased by Truth-Seeking Orbs, his once-proud Hokage cloak in tatters. Hiruzen Sarutobi lay crumpled among the ruins, his aged body shattered beyond recognition—the Will of Fire snuffed out.
The remnants of the Allied Forces cowered, too terrified to step into Madara's line of sight.
The heavy hitters were dead or crippled. The rest were statues—extras muttering background lines.
"Too strong!"
"What is this?"
"It's terrifying!"
"We have no hope!"
Renji savored their terror. What he couldn't fathom was why they didn't run. Still waiting for their cue, cannon fodder?
Ah. Of course. When Naruto and Sasuke rose, they'd need a cheering section.
The scene echoed the tale everyone knew. Once, Might Guy leapt when those two fell. But Guy had long since been twisted into one of Renji's grotesque puppets.
No savior remained to halt Madara.
Madara's gaze lifted to the blood-red moon. "The stone tablet foretold: when the Rinnegan bearer nears the moon, the Eye opens—Infinite Tsukuyomi awakens."
As the Ten-Tails' jinchuriki, he ascended, aligning with the Divine Tree's colossal bud. From below, his silhouette crowned the moon like a dark god.
A vertical slit opened in his brow. Crimson light bled forth, unveiling a third eye—the nine-tomoe Rinne-Sharingan.
"Illuminate the world. Infinite Tsukuyomi."
The jutsu ignited. The eye's pattern branded itself upon the moon.
The earth convulsed.
"What now?"
"Four o'clock—meteor!"
A colossal rock punched through the clouds, the sky igniting with friction-born flame.
"Why us? We didn't do anything!" survivors wailed.
Golden light flared. A familiar shape returned.
Uzumaki Naruto hovered, Six Paths power surging, nine Truth-Seeking Orbs orbiting like black moons. "I'll shatter them all! Hold on!"
The orbs morphed and rocketed skyward—meteors burst into dust.
Sasuke materialized beside him, his new Rinnegan fixed on the moon. Complete Susanoo enveloped them, a violet titan weathering the debris storm.
Naruto searched for Sakura. He found her—or what remained: a mangled mass with pink hair matted in gore, Konoha's forehead protector cracked but clinging.
His breath hitched. He froze.

Sasuke saw it too, unsurprised. Without the Sage, all three would be corpses.
"Renji!" Naruto snarled.
Renji stood bathed in unnatural light—not sunlight. Night had flipped to blinding day; the moon's white glare swallowed the world.
Infinite Tsukuyomi's radiance cascaded. The pattern of the Rinnegan reflected in every living eye.
Movement ceased. Thousands froze—blank faces, caught souls.
"I'll see you in the dream, Renji," Sai murmured, smiling as he surrendered to illusion.
Miles away, sheltered civilians slipped into endless sleep.
"This light pierces all shadow. None escape," Madara declared. Seals flashed. "Deep Forest Emergence!"
Vines erupted; fibrous bands unfurled from the Divine Tree. Cocoons formed, hoisting ninja into the branches like macabre ornaments.
"That light couldn't breach Susanoo?" Black Zetsu hissed beside Renji, startled that Naruto and Sasuke still stood. Kaguya's bloodline was immune—but Sasuke? "Is Uchiha Sasuke's Rinnegan… superior?"
"What happened to everyone?" Naruto whispered.
"Stay inside," Sasuke snapped. "Drop Susanoo and you're caught. If both of us fall, it's over."
Naruto steadied. "Got it."
"A world without war begins," Madara intoned, descending. His eyes narrowed on Renji. "You… why weren't you caught?"
Black Zetsu tensed. It had planned to revive Mother after these pests were crushed—now suspicion brewed.
"Because I'm not human," Renji said, velvet over steel. He spun a lie about being like Black Zetsu. The truth didn't matter—he stood immune. Madara had bigger problems.
As long as Naruto and Sasuke lived, Infinite Tsukuyomi could still be undone.
Madara let it drop. Priority: erase the anomalies.
He moved. Renji unclasped the crow pendant from his chest and gave it a final squeeze.
"Sage Art: Storm Release: Light Fang!"
A beam of pure light lanced from Madara toward Sasuke. Naruto's Truth-Seeking Orb intercepted—sheared clean in half. The beam pierced Susanoo…
…and stopped against a new figure.
Sasuke stared at the man before him—his mirror, yet not. The brother he believed dead. "Brother…?"
Itachi bled, the beam buried deep in his chest.
Shock fractured Sasuke's guard. Agony exploded in his eyes. Susanoo dissolved.
Crimson streamed from his empty eye socket.
Renji loomed over him, Sasuke's freshly torn Rinnegan cradled in his palm.
"Mission complete, Itachi," Renji told the clone.

Sasuke looked up—Rinnegan gone—and the Tsukuyomi's light claimed him.
Naruto, now unshielded, followed. Their eyes glazed, Rinnegan patterns etched within. Two more cocoons swayed from the Divine Tree.
"Well played," Madara conceded.
His approval died as Sasuke's Rinnegan fused with Renji's palm.
"Since you're not human," Madara's voice turned glacial, "killing you is no sin."
He lunged—only for another to interpose: a face near-identical to Sasuke's, hair worn differently.
Madara froze. Uchiha Izuna.
Killing intent crashed like a tidal wave. "You've got nerve."

Renji's smile widened—manic, razor-sharp.
Madara knew Renji was formidable—but this?
"Eighth Gate: Gate of Death—OPEN!"
Golden-red aura erupted, a dragon of Sage-infused fury. Night Guy crashed into the Truth-Seeking Orbs—
Crack—
BOOM!
Orbs shattered. Madara's chest blew open, a gaping, blood-soaked void. His body rocketed backward, bones splintering in chorus.
Truth-Seeking Orbs embodied Yin–Yang, yet Senjutsu defied them. Renji's Night Guy, supercharged by obscene chakra, dwarfed the original.
Cough… cough…
Madara sprawled, his wound refusing to mend. "How…?"

"Think the Six Paths Sage is the pinnacle?" Renji asked, appearing overhead.
Before Madara could answer, Black Zetsu slithered over his flesh. The Ten-Tails was ripped free.
"Black Zetsu… impossible…"
An alien woman emerged—Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
"Madara, it's over," Black Zetsu crowed, crawling up her sleeve. "My brother and I have finally brought Mother back."

Renji advanced, hair bleaching silver-white, features shifting until they echoed Kaguya's.
Kaguya hovered before him, head tilted in childlike confusion. "Brother?"
Agony lanced her chest. She looked down—Renji's hand was buried through her heart.

He'd learned the trick from her "son," Black Zetsu—an unexpected, gutting thrust.
"Mother!" Black Zetsu shrieked, lunging to possess Renji.
Too late. It was ensnared, its body peeling from Kaguya against its will.
"Your soul has long been in my hands, little brother," Renji said, eyes gleaming with sadistic triumph.

"Renji!" Black Zetsu wailed—a millennium's scheme ruined.
It watched, helpless, as Renji drew the Ten-Tails from Kaguya's corpse.
"Don't worry," Renji whispered, honeyed venom in his voice. "I'll reunite you with Mother—permanently."
Kaguya possessed a truly magnificent soul—yet before Renji, she was small. His chakra reserves had already surpassed hers.
He reached into her soul, bent it, twisted it. In the end, Kaguya became a finger-sized monster. Renji didn't stop; through that soul, he rifled her memories.
The Ōtsutsuki clan: family structures, Main and Side branches; Princess Kaguya; traveling between dimensions; using worlds as chakra farms; the chakra fruit; Isshiki Ōtsutsuki; betrayal; love… Kaguya's entire life flickered past his eyes.
Renji had to admit, this Naruto world hid terrifying beings backstage. Kaguya's people were, in essence, a parasitic alien race—wandering dimensions to cultivate chakra fruit.
Their ultimate aim was to consume those fruits and attain so-called godhood. And one such being already existed: Ōtsutsuki Shibai.
Renji drew a long breath as the flood of information settled. At last he understood whose impossible chakra threshold the system notification had signaled—the Ōtsutsuki god.
A small chuckle escaped him. "Heh… heh… heh…"
It swelled into a mad, sadistic laugh. "Hahaha—HAHAHAHA!"
He had finally done it. Ever since obtaining the system, he'd pondered how to farm chakra. The most direct way was to torture people—or make them watch their loved ones suffer.
But that was one-dimensional. Humans housed more than mindless hatred: grief, sorrow, pain, despair—threads knotted together.
Pull one, and the whole knot loosens. That's why he first built trust, made them depend on him. Then, through self-harm, betrayal, and killing, he reaped everything he'd sown—every emotion.
'Thinking on it now,' he smirked, 'I was doing what the Ōtsutsuki do.'
'Plant the seed, let it grow, and when the harvest comes—reap.'
Now, the final steps…
Renji teleported to Zetsu, shrank it, and slipped it into his ninja pouch. Then he appeared before Madara. Madara stared up at the shining sky, reeling from betrayal.
Pathetic.
Renji set a hand on him, gouged out the Rinnegan and absorbed it—the eye sank into his palm and vanished. Then he did the same to Madara himself, turning him into a modified human and storing him away.
Meanwhile, Renji's clones had seized the Kage.
Finished, Renji lifted his gaze to the blood moon and rose into the sky like a god.
He emptied his ninja tool pouch, restored every modified human, and cast them back down.
Then he clasped his hands in a seal.
"Rinne Rebirth Jutsu!"
Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru… the dead began returning one by one. Even the Edo Tensei Kage were restored.
"What's happening…?"
"Didn't I die?"
"Is the war over? What happened to everyone?"
"Hey—look up, isn't that Renji? What's he doing?!"
"RENJI!"
…
Renji didn't spare them a glance. The center of his forehead split open; an otherworldly eye blossomed there.
Rinne-Sharingan!
The nine tomoe spun wildly and—
"Infinite Tsukuyomi!" Renji cried. Everyone he'd revived froze where they stood, eyes blank.
Roots of the Divine Tree burst from the earth, coiling up to wrap them and hoist them in cocoons.
Everyone in the ninja world was trapped within Infinite Tsukuyomi—not Madara's this time, but Renji's.
The difference was…

"Ahahahaha! Yes—finally! This is the world I wanted to see! AHAHAHAHA!" Renji laughed like a madman, shouting at the sky.
"Ah… butterflies in my stomach. I might be the only happy person alive right now…" He wiped away a fake tear, then loosed another great peal of laughter. "The only happy one! AHAHAHAHA!"
As his laughter rang on, the air shuddered.
From the warped space stepped a gray-skinned elder, face carved with wrinkles. In place of eyes, two Rinnegan gleamed; on his brow, a Rinne-Sharingan.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself," the old man said. "Do you truly find this humorous?"
Renji fell silent, turned, and looked at him.
The Sage of Six Paths—Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo.
"If I didn't, why would I be enjoying myself? Don't you?" Renji replied, expression unchanged.
Hagoromo sighed. "You truly have a wicked heart. All of this… was it only for fun? People suffer in an illusory world because of you. They hate you. Why do you so crave their hatred?"
The Sage couldn't comprehend it. Who would use Infinite Tsukuyomi to trap everyone in a world of endless pain—only to be loathed?
Even Uchiha Madara claimed it was "for peace," promising people the lives they wanted within the dream. But Renji? He bestowed endless torment and rot.
Hagoromo didn't need to see their dreams. From here, he could feel the wave of hatred smothering the ninja world.
Renji lifted his chin; a repulsive smile crept across his face. "You're babbling, old man. You're nothing but an echo of the original. All you've ever done is watch, helplessly. Your fate—and the ninja world's—was sealed the moment you chained yourselves to a stupid prophecy."
He brought his hands together.
"Domain Expansion—Self-Embodiment of Perfection."
In an instant, thousands of colossal hands erupted—from earth, sky, and every side.
The heavens drowned in violet darkness.
"You—!"
Hagoromo had no time to react. Renji touched his soul—and drank it in.
It was over in seconds.
"At last, every obstacle removed," Renji breathed. "My road to godhood stands clear."
"Within Infinite Tsukuyomi, I'll torture humanity again and again. I'll be the villain of their entire lives. The moment they break, I'll reset it all—let them taste other feelings, deceive them… and when they grow used to that false happiness, I'll shatter it again. And again. Forever. That is Infinite Tsukuyomi!"
He laughed as he spoke. Only one obstacle remained—Ōtsutsuki Shibai. That would be resolved shortly:
[Ding!]
[Human Malice Value detected: +10,000,000!]
[Cursed Energy converted to Chakra: +10,000,000!]
[Chakra (4,500,002,700 / 10,000,000,000)]
He needed to maximize his power. He drew Kaguya from his pouch, swallowed her, and absorbed her. The Ōtsutsuki DNA was his. A pair of veined white pupils bloomed in his hands.
Byakugan.
Renji smirked. Chakra flooded through him. Any jutsu—hand seals unnecessary. And more: Idle Transfiguration had evolved to a higher plane. He no longer needed a living target; anything he touched, he could find its soul and rewrite it.
Nor did it end there. He could freely wield bloodline limits and their powers.
He now bore four dōjutsu: Byakugan, Mangekyō Sharingan, Rinnegan, and Rinne-Sharingan.
Most importantly, his Domain now spanned kilometers—and as his vast chakra swelled, so did that field.
Renji straightened, rolled his legs right and left. "Alright…" He reached forward; the air warped and split. He stepped through.
…
He emerged among trees—and saw a man walking. The man looked at him with dull, unreadable eyes. Somehow, he hadn't been caught by Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Renji appeared at his side. Before he could react, Renji warped his form into a small monster—
—and the creature sank into Renji's palm.
"That's done too," he murmured. The one he'd swallowed was Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, who had come to this world with Kaguya and used this dull-eyed man as a vessel. His power, memories, and dōjutsu were now absorbed.
Renji didn't stop; he reached again and tore the air.
He stepped out onto the Portal.
…
A young man, eyes closed, stared in shock at the portal—before he could understand, a hand seized his throat from behind.
"Shh, it'll be quick…" Renji snapped his neck, then shrank and absorbed him as well.
Now it was over; every remaining obstacle cleared.
In the time that followed, Renji devoted himself to refinement. System chimes rang without end. His chakra climbed to terrifying heights. He consolidated his power with the jutsu lore of the entire ninja world. He wielded a host of dōjutsu and bloodline limits—and the special talents of a cursed spirit's body besides.
When he judged the time was right, he tore the air before him. He did it again and again—until he stood upon a gray planet. Three moons hung side by side in its sky. The land was barren, soulless.
Renji's gaze slid forward. A magnificent palace reared from the dead plain, so tall it seemed to brush those moons. He took one step—his foot touched down and he was already within.
"Within" wasn't quite right. A cross-legged figure sat ahead, wreathed in a warped blue miasma—dense enough to look solid.
Renji studied the being. He resembled the Ōtsutsuki Renji had slain—but the aura was different. Horns swept along either side of his head; his eyes gleamed yellow and white. He was immense.
Slowly, he raised his head and met Renji's gaze. His lips parted.
"I was waiting for you…"
Renji chuckled. "Waiting for me? Considering how many Ōtsutsuki I've killed, it doesn't take a genius to figure you're next. What—did you think that line would make you sound cool?"
Ōtsutsuki Shibai didn't answer. An eye bloomed on his brow, opening between the horns.
"That's more like it," Renji laughed, clasping his hands. "Entertain me. We won't get far on smug one-liners."
Seeing his opponent grow serious, Renji did the same.
He whispered: "Domain Expansion— World of Transfigured Souls."
Time and space froze; the borders of matter and consciousness melted; the entire universe fused into a single soul. Renji could now bend the cosmos itself to his will.
…
"I'm telling you, Kugisaki! Human Earthworm 7 is out—we can't miss it. You're coming with me. Fushiguro, you too!" Itadori Yuuji shouted to his friends as the three walked side by side down the street.
"Hah? You want me to watch that shitty movie with you? Get real! And why would something that bad even get a seventh installment?" Kugisaki Nobara wanted no part of this stupidity.
Yuuji fired back with equal intensity, raving about how legendary the series was and how this one would finally resolve last film's dangling plot.
He even turned to his stoic friend, as if seeking backup. "Fushiguro, back me up! Fushi—guro…?"
"How is this possible?!" Fushiguro had gone ghost-pale, eyes locked ahead.
"Huh? What are you talking ab—" Itadori looked across the street… and froze.
There stood the last "thing" he ever wanted to see. He knew he'd never forget what he'd lost—and endured—because of that "thing".
As if asking the void for an answer, he murmured, senseless: "How… how can he be alive?"
Across the way, a man with stitch-scarred face and a loose, dark-blue, wide-collared tunic was walking.
Mahito.
One of the last names the trio would ever want to see again.
He stopped five meters away, calling out with a friendly smile: "Yo, Itadori. Miss me?"
The only answer was a roar: "MAHITO! HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!"
Renji grinned. "Take a guess."
Fushiguro pulled himself together and analyzed the situation in a flash. 'Answers could wait; they had to exorcise this Monster.'
They knew his abilities and limits—an advantage they had to use. He turned to his friends: "Yuuji, Kugisaki, don't get distracted, or—"
Slap!
He never finished. A hand struck his face.
"Ha…?" Fushiguro froze. Kugisaki and Yuuji's eyes went wide—and before they could move, Fushiguro ballooned, limbs twisting grotesquely, and—
Boom!
He exploded. Flesh and blood splattered across Kugisaki and Yuuji, painting the street like a brush dragged across canvas.
Slap!
A second "Slap!".
Yuuji knew what it meant but refused to accept it. He turned his trembling head left and—
Boom!
The clean side of his face was painted red. Blankly, he touched his cheek; a small scrap of flesh came away.
Kugisaki's.
"I figured," Renji chuckled, walking toward him,"your left side shouldn't stay clean while your right was drenched. Did I do well?"
Itadori's eyes went bloodshot. He threw back his head and screamed until his throat threatened to tear: "MAHITO! I'LL KILL YOU!"
He lunged with everything he had, fist cocked—
Whoosh!
Renji caught him by the collar of his Jujutsu uniform and slammed him into the ground. Asphalt caved, cracks spidering outward.
Yuuji felt his ribs give. He tried to rise, but the hand on his collar held him down.
He forced his eyes open—and met the face he hated most.
Renji crouched beside him, leaned to his ear, and whispered with that familiar, repulsive smirk:
"So… you still haven't answered my question. Did you miss me, Itadori Yuuji?"
—The End—
