24th October, Space Era 103
Months had passed since the ceasefire between the Kingdom of Centory and the World Government. The galaxy rested beneath a fragile calm — a thin veil of silence masking the simmering unrest beneath.
Within the Grand Hall of the Supreme Palace in Berlyn, capital of the Centory Empire, Lord Aelyzabeth Thors herself presided over the celebration of the war's end. The sound of orchestral symphonies echoed through marble pillars as envoys from every star and colony gathered to commemorate the fragile peace. Yet all who stood beneath the radiant chandeliers knew the truth — it was but a truce, not true peace.
At the heart of the ceremony, Minister Manfred von Heisentrov of Centory and Dr. Joe Richardson of the World Government — the two who had signed the ceasefire — were awarded the Galactic Nobel Peace Prize, hailed as harbingers of a "New Hope" for humanity among the stars.
At the same time, Major General Thomas DeMorlen was promoted to Lieutenant General for his valor in the Battle of Verlvitamax, while Colonel Aerys Vilozyver, the eleven-year-old heir of House Thors and commander of a strike battalion during that same campaign, was promoted to Colonel — a living symbol of the blood and iron that forged their dynasty.
When the final waltz faded and the guests departed, Lord Aelyzabeth journeyed herself to the war-torn frontiers. She decreed the launch of massive reconstruction efforts — rebuilding cities and cleansing worlds scarred by radiation — through the use of the NRC-I AUS System, a marvel of Centorian engineering that absorbed nuclear fallout and transmuted it into clean energy. It became the emblem of the Empire's Era of Restoration.
Yet peace, like ash in the wind, could not hold its form for long.
On 24th October , S.E. 103, as Lord Aelyzabeth's state cruiser traveled to inspect the energy facilities of the Octaius System, a cataclysmic explosion tore through the void. The blast, visible from millions of kilometers away, shattered comms across the sector. Preliminary reports identified it as an act of terrorism — a strike orchestrated by radical Earth separatists.
From that day forth, Lord Aelyzabeth Thors was never seen again. Her ship vanished into the abyss, leaving behind only rumor, grief, and a throne without a sovereign.
Weeks later, as Centory's central command collapsed into disarray, the Democratic Party of New Hope and the Global Democratic Union seized the moment. Under the leadership of Margaret von Thors, elder sister to the missing Lord, they proclaimed the Dissolution of the Centory Kingdom — and the Restoration of the Republic of New Hope.
Their declaration ignited the greatest fracture in Centorian history.
Those who remained faithful to the blood of Thors — led by Regent General Aelaera von Escheinsen, with Minister Walther von Yigzorch, head of the National Propaganda Bureau, his twin sister Lea von Yigzorch, Chief Minister of the Supreme House and Director of the CKF Financial Corps, and the five Guildmasters —Eins-Kiezseiner, Zwei-Virmith, Drei-Fryre, Vier-Medinker SG–E Gen, and Fünf-Zav Scheneinger —rallied together with the SSC (Schtuam Schuztavle Cerlinkle) under a single banner:
The Thorsian Loyalists — Keepers of the Blood of Iron.
On the opposite side stood the Freedom Uprising, a coalition of liberals, republicans, and World Government sympathizers, proclaiming to dismantle tyranny and restore power to the people.
Soon, chaos engulfed every world within Centory's domain. Protests filled the streets, industrial planets declared independence, and the void between stars echoed with the sound of rebellion. Explosions, chants, and cries of loyalty thundered across the empire — the galaxy itself trembling as if split in two.
And amid the rising storm of civil war, one question burned across every transmission, every whisper, every prayer:
"Is Lord Aelyzabeth Thors still alive?"
Thus ends Chapter C-XXIII.
