Chapter 4 - System

Headmaster's status is really too high. The whole country is his disciples. He has become like an emperor who is alone and helpless.

The emperor at least has a queen, but Headmaster... well, he sent the "queen" to jail himself.

Thinking of this, Tom looked at the old man, who still had a smile on his face, with a little pity.

An hour and a half later.

Dumbledore sent Tom back to the children's home.

"Looking forward to seeing you again, Mr. Riddle."

"Me too, Professor."

After watching Dumbledore leave, Tom turned and went into the house.

Mrs. Cole had already prepared dinner when she got off work, and Seth and the other three boys were eating, leaving a large portion for Tom.

"Boss, do you really want to go to that white-bearded old man's school?"

When the other three saw Tom come back, they quickly finished their meal, washed the dishes, and ran back to their rooms. Only Seth stayed behind and asked curiously.

Currently, only Tom and Seth are permanent residents of the Children's Home. The other three problem children have just arrived. After being disciplined by Tom, they are like mice seeing a cat.

"This is not a question you need to worry about."

Tom bit into his steak and mumbled, "If I find out your grades have dropped in middle school, don't blame me for coming back to deal with you during the holidays."

Seth shrank his neck, not daring to refute.

He was just feeling indignant for Tom because he was going to a school he had never heard of.

In his mind, his boss is so awesome—the best in the school both in studying and fighting.

He would have been more than qualified to go to Harrow or Eton, but the damn schools charged such high tuition fees, which forced his eldest brother to give up.

Tom didn't know that his younger brother was standing up for him. He didn't say much because Dumbledore had instructed that he should not tell Muggles about the affairs of the wizarding world, and that magical items should not be allowed to flow into the Muggle world. He was just a freshman and had no ability to fight against the rules of the wizarding world.

After finishing his meal and clearing away the dishes, Tom returned to his bedroom.

"Open the system panel."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tom studied the belated system carefully.

The Strongest Learning System—as the name suggests, it is a system that assists him in studying and becoming a super academic master.

Any behavior related to learning that yields results can earn credits, which is also the core mechanism of the system.

Credits have many functions, the main ones being:

Spend credits to hire a private teacher to teach him. The first hour of each day is free, and each hour thereafter costs six credits as tuition.

Spend credits to enter an "extraordinary state," which improves learning efficiency and thinking speed, surpassing one's own limits, similar to the effect of a "minor enlightenment."

Each time you enter the extraordinary state, it costs one hundred credits and lasts for ten minutes. You can then spend ten credits per minute to extend the duration.

In addition, the system also has an important currency: achievement points.

The system will reward achievement points for achieving certain accomplishments in life, academics, or other aspects, or for completing system tasks.

Currently, Tom can only see one function for achievement points: summoning teachers.

The achievement points consumed vary depending on the teacher's level.

An average adult wizard of medium level (B) only needs one achievement point.

An excellent wizard (A) costs ten points.

A great wizard of his generation (S), 100 points.

King of the Century (SS), one thousand points.

Immortal Legend (SSS), 5,000 points.

The gap between each level can be seen just by looking at the price.

Thirty years constitutes a generation, and "a generation of outstanding people" refers to the most outstanding talents of that generation.

One hundred years is called a century, and only the most powerful wizard in a century is worthy of the domineering title "King of the Century."

Dumbledore definitely qualifies.

Immortal legends can no longer be simply divided by time. Throughout the history of the magical world, such existences are very rare.

Back to the system panel interface, a gift box appears in the center. This is Tom's novice gift pack.

After opening it, the system rewards one hundred credits and a chance to summon a teacher for free, at least a master teacher at the level of "a generation of outstanding people."

So...how does the system invite the so-called private teacher?

Out of curiosity, Tom used his mind to collect all the rewards.

Brilliant golden light filled his vision, and he felt dizzy for a moment, as if he had shaken his head too quickly and forcefully. When he came to his senses, his consciousness had already entered a foggy world.

This world felt so real that Tom had the illusion he had been teleported here, but he could also clearly sense that his physical body was still lying on the bed.

At the same time, the system also informed Tom about this space.

This space is called the Learning Space. The flow of time is the same as the outside world, but the energy spent on studying here does not affect the real world.

This means Tom can study here all night and still wake up full of energy in the morning.

Moreover, teaching aids and the books he owns can be materialized in the space, making it a virtual world that is extremely close to reality.

However, simply entering this space costs credits, which is equivalent to activating the famous teacher tutoring function. The 100 points given by the system would be used up quickly.

After understanding this space, Tom looked around for his first teacher.

"Hahahahaha!"

A hearty and unrestrained laugh was heard from the thick fog. The fog in front of Tom dissipated a lot, and his visual range doubled.

And in the fog farther away, a tall figure emerged and was striding towards him.

A man broke through the fog and appeared in Tom's sight.

He was wearing a long, slanted robe from the ancient Athenian period, with most of his muscular body exposed. He wore a laurel wreath on his head, had three-dimensional features and a resolute face, like an ancient Greek statue that had walked out of history, exuding a strong masculine aura from head to toe.

The man observed the foggy space curiously, and finally his eyes fell on Tom, and his smile became even more intense.

"You are the little wizard who summoned me, right?"

"What an amazing talent! You've actually awakened my long-dormant soul. And this unwavering bond... Child, your good fortune makes me jealous."

It was easy to hear the jealousy in his tone, but Tom didn't seem worried about himself at all.

The system's introduction made it very clear that as long as one was in this space, no one could harm him, and the teachers would teach him everything they knew. There was no possibility of academic fraud, and he would not be ambushed.

And...even without this restriction, Tom didn't think this man would do anything bad.

Because this man's temperament was so upright, he was simply the embodiment of light. Compared to him, Dumbledore could be called a cunning villain.

"Sir, shouldn't you introduce yourself before asking questions?" Tom asked back.

The system kept him in suspense and still hadn't told him who the teacher summoned this time was.

"Hahaha!"

The man laughed even more heartily and happily: "You are right, it was rude of me as your tutor."

"My name is Andros, and I'm an ordinary wizard from Greece. I have some experience with wandless spellcasting and the Patronus Charm, which is more than enough for me to be your mentor."

The name Andros flashed through Tom's mind.

When they were in Diagon Alley, Dumbledore gave him two Chocolate Frogs to fill his stomach. Each Chocolate Frog came with a Famous Wizard card, and one of them was the man in front of him—Andros the Invincible!

This was not Andros's boasting, nor was it a nickname that sounded like his surname.

The title "Invincible" was given to him by the wizards of his time because Andros had never been defeated in his life. As he said, he was particularly skilled at wandless casting and the Patronus Charm, and could even cast a giant Patronus without a wand.

Even in this day and age, no one has ever heard of anyone else achieving this feat, making it a historic achievement.

He is the well-deserved King of the Century!

No wonder Tom had such a good impression of him when they first met.

Casting the Patronus requires strong positive emotions and happy memories, so it is often used as a criterion for judging Dark wizards.

Andros's positive energy is almost overflowing.

The word "righteousness" is written all over him!

"Mr. Andros, I'm Tom Riddle."

Tom introduced himself with a smile on his face. "I will be your student from now on. If there is anything wrong, please let me know and I will definitely correct it."

Even with the constraints of the system, Tom was always polite and humble to those who could help him.

His attitude also won Andros's favor.

The man patted his chest generously and said, "No problem. I will do my best to help you become an excellent wizard."

Then he said very professionally: "There must be a price for you to use this talent, right? Without further ado, let's get started now."

Of course Tom wouldn't refuse. He thought about the teaching methods at Hogwarts.

"Mr. Andros, I haven't entered the magic school yet, so let's start with the most basic Lighting Spell and Levitation Spell."

Andros looked at him in confusion. "Levitation spell, illumination spell, what is that?"

Tom: "???"
