Chapter 6 - Master plan

Greg: Let me explain how I misled you so much that you thought that you were on "team A"!

Tomi: I still want the referee to recheck the results but ok, I will listen to you.

Greg: I will explain in a way that even you can understand! Huhuhuh.

Tomi: Hey! What do you mean even I can understand? You think I'm dumb or what?

Greg: So to begin with, before the first round result announcement, you asked me to use a +3, this strategy can seem pretty good at first because if a team got 4 points, there is a high chance that we are in the same team and in the next round reverse the cards we used and if the same team will gain 4 points again, it's very likely we are in the same team, so I said yes to your offer! Even though... I already knew I will play +1 because I thought about this strategy a little more, this strategy would be the most effective if you told everyone the same thing. So that you will be the only one using +1, and everyone else would use a +3, then your team will have 4 points and the opponents team will have 0! Instead, if I use +1, then if one team, let's say "Team A", have 2 and "Team B" have 0 then I'm guaranteed to be in team A with Tomi, but that not happened, it was 4-4 meaning that I'm not in the same team with Tomi!

Tomi: So that is why yo...

Greg: Pss, Tomi. I am explaining stuff right now, please, don't interfere me. We are just reaching the interesting part! Round 2! I asked Lucas first, he approved Tomi was searched him too and with that my theory that Tomi asked the same thing from everyone is pretty much confirmed to be true, he said he searched him again and told him a meet up to give their cards to the referee (after that Tomi searched me too but I did not accept that), this was to make sure who betrayed him. So I advised to do a little troll and switch our cards so if he collects he will have wrong outcomes, then I did the same with Samuel without telling him I met with Lucas before and switched cards.

So Lucas had my card (Greg), Samuel had Lucas's card, and I had Samuel's card.

Tomi: What? Isn't that against the rules?

Referee: I told you that the way we gonna know whose card is by the QR-code, there's no kind of rule that says you can't switch cards among players.

Greg: Tomi, you really think that I did not ask it before? I am not gambling at all with stuff like that! So again! Lucas had my card (Greg), Samuel had Lucas's card, and I had Samuel's card. Lucas must write +3 to my card because he will give his card to Tomi and they discussed it earlier. That means that they will see that "Greg used a +3". Samuel Must wrote +3 too, he had Lucas card: What they will see is that "Greg used a +3" and "Lucas used a +3" the rest are given "Tomi and Samuel used +1". The teams scored 4-4 points again. In conclusion, I am with Samuel, because in the first round we found out I'm not with Tomi, in the second round I found out I'm not with Lucas because both of mine and Lucas's card stated "+3" and still both teams gained 4 points.

Tomi: Tssk! This is unbelievable! But what the hell did you do in the third round?

Greg: Thanks for asking! I told Samuel that we are in the same team and how I figured out! Then told him to use his +3 when he will meet up with you, then I ripped my +3 card in half, through in the middle of the QR code, making sure it cannot be readable, basically guaranting at least +3 points to him, either if I am or Tomi is his teammate, he did not need to believe me at all, that's the good part. Of course I played a +1 then that round!

Tomi: Wait! You couldn't have play +1! You didn't shop up even once that round!

Greg: Yes! But I didn't need to either. You sure you thought about every detail of the game?

Tomi: Why you ask?

Greg: You know there is something really interesting about these cards, the QR codes.

Tomi: What about them? They are there to read who used them!

Greg: No, not really. They only get to know who is this card belong to, not who played it. In this game, it doesn't matter who played the card, all that matters is "whose cards were played?"

Tomi: What? No... Wait, that means....

Greg: Hahaha! Yeah! When you saw Lucas in the morning, playing his card... Well, it was actually mine.

Tomi: WHAAAT!? Lucas! Why would you even do that!?

Lucas: Well, I'm... uhh-

Greg: Well, this is a team game, right? You would hardly gain any information to get you to win without a team, right? And it seemed like you were not a good enough teammate, Tomi.

Tomi: This is... all because of you, Greg... IF YOU WOULD NOT BE HERE I WOULD HE EASILY WON!!

Greg: Unfortunatelly though, I'm here, hehe.

Tomi: Then why did you even ask if I would give up right before the end by the way? If you knew already that you won?

Greg: Oh, I just wanted to see your reaction!

Referee: The winners are Greg and Samuel from "Team A"! Congratulations to them. Please go back to your rooms and get your stuff, we are going back to the hotel.
