I walked along the river, making stops for sleep and rest. At the same time, I tried to study my abilities and the possibilities of this new body. It turned out that although it was smaller than my previous one, it was much stronger. What caught my attention the most were the very beautiful muscles, which I had never possessed before. They looked very attractive. But my main advantage was agility and speed: I felt that I could move much faster and more precisely than before.
The question of food was urgent. I did not know where to get it, and hunger was beginning to remind me of itself more and more strongly. Already slightly worried, I suddenly noticed ahead the outlines of a real medieval town.
The very sight of civilization instantly lifted my mood. I quickened my pace and then broke into a run. As I approached, I noticed the absence of any serious guard presence. Instead of familiar guards, there were only merchants, ordinary people, and even beings of different races. Hmm, it seemed I had truly ended up in a real fantasy.
I decided to approach a girl who was standing at a fruit stall.
"Good afternoon!" I said loudly enough; before, I would never have been able to greet someone like that."Excuse me, but could you tell me where I might be able to find the information I need?"
"Good afternoon!" she smiled. "Ask me anything you want, I will gladly help you!"
"Really? Thank you! First of all, I would like to know where I am."
"Eh… You don't know?" the girl raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise. "This is the town of Melen, it is located only three kilometers from Orario."
Inside me, everything turned upside down. Orario?! At that very moment, everything became clear.
I ended up in Danmachi!
"Are you all right?" the girl looked at me with concern.
"Sorry!" I came to my senses. "Could you tell me how I can get to Orario?"
"Of course," she smiled. "Just go to the northeast. From Melen, there is a wide path that leads directly to the walls of Orario. You definitely won't get lost."
"Thank you!" I said with a smile, and, bowing, hurried on.
The fastest way to get food is to make money in the Dungeon!
It was a pity that I had only watched up to the fourth season of the anime. My knowledge was clearly incomplete, but still I understood the basic structure of the world. In any case, I was lucky: I would be able to go on a real adventure!
I walked along the road to Orario, and soon a majestic Babylonian tower appeared before my eyes, covering the entrance to the Dungeon. It towered over the whole city, like the very peak of the world. My heart began to beat faster, and happiness literally overflowed my body.
"I am really here…" I whispered, not believing my own words.
After ten minutes of fast running, I reached the city walls. In front of the gates stretched a huge queue.
"Not this… Ah, nothing can be done."
After standing in line, I finally passed inside without much trouble.
"Uwaa…" I breathed out. "Amazing!"
Adventurers bustled everywhere. Armed, noisy, diverse — they filled the city with energy and the feeling of life. The city itself was incredibly beautiful: cobblestone streets, bright signs, the sounds of trade and the ringing of weapons, the smells of baked bread and fried meat.
Of course, the first thing was the Guild! But my stomach persistently reminded me of itself.
"Ugh… I need to earn money quickly. I want to eat…"
After a few minutes of walking, my eyes accidentally caught sight of a familiar sign.
Hostess of Fertility.
I froze. Was this really… what I thought? The legendary restaurant with beautiful waitresses?!
Standing in front of the door and listening to the treacherous growling of my stomach, staring at the sign, I suddenly heard the quiet sound of something falling right in front of me. Lowering my head, I met a pair of beautiful gray eyes.
Before me stood a girl, slightly stunned and blushing. This was Syr Flova, one of the waitresses of the Hostess of Fertility.
At the sight of her, the corners of my lips involuntarily lifted, revealing fangs.
"Good afternoon!" I shouted cheerfully.
"H-hello…" Syr muttered shyly.
"Syr-nya!" a ringing voice suddenly sounded nearby. "Why are you standing in the middle of the way?"
I turned my gaze and saw another waitress — Anya Fromel. She ended her phrase with a cute "nya," which made my heart beat even faster.
She said 'nya' at the end… how cute!
"I think I should introduce myself," I decided and bowed. "Hello, my name is Astolfo. May I know your names?"
"Nice to meet you!" Syr smiled timidly. "You can just call me Syr."
"Nya! And I'm Anya!" the second one added energetically.
"Likewise, Lady Syr, Lady Anya," I said. "Please forgive me, but for now I cannot afford to visit your restaurant. I promise that as soon as I earn money, I will definitely become your guest. Please allow me to take my leave. Goodbye!"
I bowed and quickly hurried away.
Syr still stared after me in fascination.
"Goodbye…" she whispered softly, waving her hand.
"Syr-nya, what's with you-nya?" Anya squinted at her.
"N-nothing!.." Syr blushed.
I met Anya and Syr! Ugh, if only I had money, I would be able to get to know all the waitresses! Well, another goal.
