The distance was still too great; the enemy sniper had already locked onto their position, but the people in the two vehicles showed no panic, immediately beginning to advance in an S-line pattern.
Although Jensen had returned to the vehicle, he was still constantly searching for the sniper's position.
He held a sniper scope in his hand, looking around, especially in the direction he suspected someone was located.
"Rhodes, stabilize the vehicle! I found him!"
Suddenly, Jensen saw the sniper hiding in the shadows through his scope and immediately shouted to Rhodes.
"I'll try, you bastard!"
Rhodes immediately replied, but bullets occasionally struck the armored shield, making a loud noise.
Jensen directly pulled down the co-driver's Shooting window, rested the muzzle of his MK22 on the window, then began to adjust his breathing, and immediately pulled the muzzle back in.
"Turn a little to the left, yes! Hold it!"
Jensen's gaze was fixed on that spot, but as the armored vehicle moved forward and the road was bumpy, the dot in the scope kept fluctuating up and down.
"Come on baby! Give me a chance, just once."
Jensen's finger was slowly resting on the trigger, but he didn't pull it. He kept muttering, his eyes fixed on the distance, but his breathing was very steady.
Almost, just a little more, just a little more. The enemy had already fired two shots, but Jensen still didn't move, continuing to stare at the target.
At this moment, the vehicle drove onto a short, flat stretch of road, and the small dot in the scope immediately stabilized. Jensen seized the opportunity and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
A huge sound echoed inside the vehicle, nearly deafening Rhodes, and Caesar wasn't much better off.
"Jesus! Damn it! You damned bastard, can't you stick the gun out?" Caesar immediately went into foul-mouthed mode.
But Jensen didn't reply. His gaze remained fixed on the target until 2 seconds later, when he saw the target's skull being blown off.
"One sniper down!"
Jensen's voice came through the comms, without a hint of pride.
"Nice job, big boy!"
Rhodes praised him.
Zhang Jie and Yin Yang were already preparing to act, as they had seen the blocking team ahead.
At this point, Jensen was no longer in the mood to look for a second target. He switched to an M4A1; the distance was closer, and he didn't have time to search for another sniper.
Meanwhile, Caesar and Christmas, who had been in the compartment, seized the opportunity. They suddenly poked their heads out, reached for the M2HB's control stick, and pressed it down hard.
Da da da da da!
The rhythmic gunfire instantly erupted. The heavy machine guns on the two vehicles formed two terrifying webs of fire, unleashing a storm of metal upon the enemy's interception team.
Since the two merely stuck out their hands and blindly strafed, relying entirely on experience, they didn't expose their heads, so the enemy sniper couldn't do anything to them. However, that terrifying suppressive fire still forced the enemy personnel to find cover.
Zhang Jie, on the other hand, saw a guy shouldering a rocket launcher. He immediately fired four shots through the observation window in that person's direction.
Unfortunately, due to the bumpy vehicle, not a single shot hit, but it did scare the person, who then retreated back into cover.
"Hold on tight!"
Ross floored the accelerator, and the armored vehicle let out a fierce roar, accelerating once again and slamming into the intercepting vehicles.
They had blocked the road side-by-side, attempting to create a roadblock, but Ross and his team's armored vehicles were not to be underestimated.
The two massive steel plates blocking the front directly scooped up the two vehicles and pushed them aside.
Then, the two armored vehicles quickly passed through one after another, while Zhang Jie, Yin Yang, and Jensen inside the vehicles were frantically unleashing firepower through the Shooting ports.
"Catch up! Don't let them escape!"
Even though the enemy's firepower was intense, they had superior numbers and were no longer afraid. Some even fired a rocket, but it missed, though the strong explosion still left Zhang Jie and Yin Yang in the back feeling dazed.
It was unimaginable how terrifying it would be if it had hit directly.
The good news was that they had temporarily broken through this layer of obstruction; the bad news was that the enemy was catching up.
Because they had refueled in advance, they didn't have to worry about endurance for now, but there was nowhere to resupply bullets. After such an intense battle, the M2HB's ammunition was running low; the two vehicles combined had less than 6 boxes left.
That was a reserve of only 1500 rounds, and their own personal ammunition was also running low. Although some had been prepared in advance on the armored vehicle, it was consumed very quickly under high-intensity combat.
Five minutes had passed since they broke through the defense line, and the guns in their hands hadn't stopped firing, changing from full auto to semi-auto.
Zhang Jie consciously began to suppress the enemy's firepower, but there were simply too many people.
During the pursuit, Zhang Jie directly took out two of the enemy's rocket launcher operators and killed the driver of one vehicle.
Yin Yang and Jensen, however, performed even more outstandingly.
They each took out the drivers of two vehicles, as well as six or seven armed militants, while Christmas and Caesar were holding the M2HB and strafing wildly.
Suddenly, Zhang Jie, who was firing, abruptly stopped, directly opening a gap in the rear door, which startled Yin Yang.
Then, Zhang Jie went to the box containing the TM62, took one out, disarmed the safety, and threw it directly out through the gap.
Yin Yang was initially stunned, then quickly reacted and performed the same action.
Immediately after, two huge explosions sounded from behind.
The TM62 had once again proven its worth.
And this time, it severely hindered their convoy, but the convoy next to them still bypassed the wreckage of the explosion and continued to pursue them.
"Damn it, aren't these people afraid of death?" Zhang Jie couldn't help but complain. His arm was starting to ache; continuous firing would be unbearable for anyone.
"Compared to having money to spend and staying alive, they would, of course, choose to have money to spend. They are desperadoes, living for today with no tomorrow. Who knows when they will die?"
Ross, who was driving in front, said.
However, Zhang Jie's performance in today's mission was commendable; he already possessed the qualities of a special forces operative, which was very good.
At least in future solo missions, he would understand what these teams truly wanted to do, rather than just simply running away.
"Hold on, once we go a little further, we'll be safe."
Although he said that, the constant barrage of bullets hitting the vehicle's armor, making clanging noises, wouldn't make anyone feel that this was a pleasant experience.
Shen Guanghua had long been too nervous to speak, and even at this moment, he wasn't much better, especially with the continuous gunfire. He could only cover his ears and huddle in the corner of the armored vehicle.
He had never seen such an intense scene before.
