"Huff~"
"Huff~"
Zhang Jie, leaning against the wall, was drenched in sweat, his stamina severely depleted. The first floor of this abandoned building had over a dozen corpses, and the second floor had another dozen.
The frequent close-quarters combat had greatly drained Zhang Jie's energy.
"Damn it, it's endless!"
His ear twitched slightly. He held his glock 19 across his chest. The corner was to his left, and the sound came from that direction.
Zhang Jie didn't attack immediately. He knew very well that although he was currently on the defensive, he could take the initiative.
The footsteps were gradually approaching. Clearly, the opponent also realized that the target they were hunting was no simple foe. After all, from the first floor to the second, he had seen too many corpses. And every shot was fatal, either to the chest or the head.
There wasn't even a trace of struggle; they had been dealt with cleanly and efficiently.
Yet, even with his careful and cautious ascent from downstairs to the second floor, he still hadn't found that guy. It wasn't until the corner that he heard a gunshot, followed by pain in his knee.
He didn't even have time to see where this guy was before a bullet tore through his head from his lower jaw.
Bang!
It turned out that Zhang Jie, that sneaky old fox, was crouched on the ground. The moment the guy stepped out, he shot him directly in the knee, then raised his Pistol and fired a bullet into his chin.
The advantage of this was that the opponent didn't see him instantly, while he had already completed all his actions.
"Ho ho, look at this tactic, it's really effective."
Through the drone's perspective, Caesar saw the tactic Zhang Jie used from afar and was very excited. Such a tactic was indeed surprising enough.
At this moment, they were only two kilometers away from the Hilton Hotel.
Damn it, there were a lot of cars here.
This slowed down their progress.
Meanwhile, Zhang Jie quickly snatched the Pistol from the unfortunate guy's hand and, with a backflip, moved into the next hunting spot.
As time passed, Zhang Jie's mindset became increasingly stable. He was no longer focused on how to escape quickly but rather on how to kill more of these assassins.
These two completely opposite mindsets made Zhang Jie's hand even steadier.
He began to kill these assassins in the most energy-efficient way. As the assassins grew fewer, the remaining ones were clearly intimidated by the scene on the first floor, and they began to hesitate.
Although promotion was important, self-preservation was paramount.
No one wanted to lose his life so easily here. They also realized that this guy was not to be trifled with.
The comments section was constantly discussing Zhang Jie's tactics and his marksmanship.
"I have to say, this man has shattered my preconceived notions of Chinese people."
"Clean and decisive, no dilly-dallying, and he's constantly improving. He's truly a terrifying individual."
"No matter what, with this battle, he's made a name for himself."
"I just wonder if the live streaming company's boss will regret giving this guy such high odds?"
Meanwhile, in a massive office, an entire wall was covered with screens, and what was playing on them was Zhang Jie's battlefield.
Seeing that no assassins dared to approach anymore, the boss behind the scenes was a little angry. "Are those useless guys really scared off so easily?"
He saw very clearly that the dead assassins were all those who had just become assassins or were probationary members who had only recently become assassins. The truly skilled individuals hadn't even appeared.
But what pleased him was that the number of viewers was still rising.
However, he didn't want those who bet on this guy to win in the end, so he pulled out his phone and made a call.
"Listen, bring that guy over! Didn't he claim to be very powerful?"
The man decided to have the loudmouth join the battlefield, which could bring a different experience to the live stream.
After hanging up, the man looked at Zhang Jie's actions playing on the screen and chuckled, "You are my cash cow. I wouldn't let you die so quickly."
Hundreds of thousands of online viewers could bring him considerable income, not to mention the constant tips.
He naturally couldn't let go of such an opportunity. Adding extra rounds was his most common tactic.
On the other end of the screen, a man in pajamas was thrown out of a car. He lay in an alley behind the hotel, wearing pajamas and in a stupor.
"Haha, who is this?"
"Thrown out in pajamas?"
"Oh my god, he's really miserable."
Another ten minutes passed before the man lying on the ground opened his eyes. His right foot twitched violently, and he slowly woke up.
He was then jolted fully awake by the excruciating pain in his hands.
"Oh... sh*t! It hurts like hell!"
Only then did he see that two Pistols were fixed to his hands, secured by bolts that passed through his fingers, connecting them to the brackets and the Pistols.
Each Pistol also had a small LED display, very thoughtfully showing the Pistol's current magazine capacity.
The current magazine capacity was 50-50.
His phone in his pocket also rang. Unable to react immediately, he exerted tremendous effort to get the phone out of his pocket, then he looked at his hands and was dumbfounded.
"Come on!"
How am I supposed to answer the phone like this?
Then, with a flash of inspiration, he squirmed on the ground and used his chin to slide the screen, answering the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Miles! You've seen your current situation, so your next mission is to take down Zhang Jie and prove your strength."
The voice on the other end of the phone was sinister.
Miles was stunned. "I only said that verbally! I don't know how to use a Pistol!"
"I don't care! You said it yourself, you're very powerful! Take down Zhang Jie, and I'll remove the Pistols for you. Otherwise, just wait to die!"
He hung up after saying that, and then a picture of Zhang Jie on a train was sent to his phone.
Looking at the photo on his phone, Miles fell silent.
What he didn't know was how explosive his appearance was in the live stream.
Meanwhile, Ross and his team were still stuck in traffic.
"Damn it, why are there so many cars!"
But soon he realized something was wrong: these drivers all seemed to be assassins!
However, there was no conflict between the two sides. Fighting now would be disadvantageous for them, but moving forward was very congested. Getting out of the car was out of the question; it was too dangerous.
They couldn't possibly trek on foot with their gear, could they?
"Hey, yo! Are you also here to kill that guy?"
A new black assassin looked at Ross's car full of people with a bit of disbelief. "So many of you in one car? There's only one promotion slot, right?"
"Bro, your car is nice, interested in a race?"
Ross didn't answer the young black man's question. Then the rear window lowered, and Caesar's hand reached out. Seeing the massive .50 AE barrel pointing at him, the young black man immediately fell silent.
He silently rolled up his window, then cursed angrily through the window, "F*ck, do you think I'm scared of you bastards! I just love peace!"
Ross and the others couldn't be bothered with him, but with the live video stream, they weren't worried about Zhang Jie's safety for now.
