Chapter 33 - Shifting Priorities and a Sister's Scheme

Two days vanished in a blink. Sky leaned comfortably on the chair in the backyard, amidst a few potted plants and a sprawling tree. The sky, even with the rising sun, was surprisingly dark.

"Seems like rain is coming. Those black clouds have covered the sky. It looks so mesmerizing to me; I love this weather where these black clouds blanket the sky, and cool winds blow past without leaving a trace. It feels heavenly," Sky murmured with a smile, gazing at the sky, his thoughts drifting to the past two days.

After returning from that mountain, after making a deal with Kuin, I realized something: I no longer need any help from Isha. She now holds no value to me. So, I messaged her that I wouldn't be contacting her anymore before blocking her number. I did tell her she had my number and if things turned extreme, she could call me for help. But I genuinely didn't feel like helping her anymore; she's just a burden, and I've recently dropped her. Would I really help her in any more situations, even if her life was threatened? My answer would be no. I'd be more relieved if she died at someone's hand because she has too much information about me. But anyway, I'm not that bad to just wish she'd die. After I blocked her, she messaged me, called me, trying to contact me, but I guess I've already made it clear that I won't be contacting her anymore, not anytime soon. Plus, she no longer holds any value in my eyes. If I think clearly, she might have something in her mind about me. But she has nothing to offer me; that's why I discarded her, Sky's thoughts wandered. He had received many calls from unknown numbers as well, but what was the point? In Sky's eyes, she was no longer useful.

Before, she was useful in helping him meet Kuin, as Sky had previously thought she would attract Kuin's attention and be attacked by him in the future. When that happened, he met Kuin and learned many things. He asked Kuin for every single detail he could get and was surprised to learn that Kuin was unable to detect any trace of the dark and elusive atmosphere around the forest.

Probably only I have that ability to detect a negative aura. Well, that's pretty much helpful. Now I need to focus my goal on one thing: to find that priestess woman who breastfed me her milk. Only that way will I be able to know the reason for the sudden awakening of such events and the purpose behind such things.

"Hey, Mr. Thinker…?" Sillia's sweet voice broke Sky's chain of thoughts. His attention shifted from the dark clouds to Sillia, who was standing in front of him.

"Oh, Sillia, what brings you here? Are you done using your phone?" Sky asked calmly, his eyes returning to the sky view as his question lingered. Sillia's eyes twitched.

"What phone? I don't use my phone all the time! I studied for two hours and wanted to take a stroll around. And what reason? Can't I come here to talk with you without any reason?" Sillia retorted before immediately settling herself on Sky's thighs, comfortably following his gaze towards the black clouds.

"Of course, you can. But you wouldn't do that… After all, I know how my little sister remembers me," Sky said calmly, looking at her. He wasn't bothered by her sitting on his lap.

"Hehe… actually, you're right… I just wanna ask you something," Sillia said with a grin, revealing her white teeth.

"Oh, what is it?" Sky asked, looking at her beautiful smile.

"Well, that. I wanna know when we're returning back to our home," Sillia asked.

"Oh, that. Two days before your school starts. Why…?" Sky asked calmly.

"I want to return one week before my school starts," Sillia said with a smile.

"Hmm… why…?"

"Because I want to enjoy my vacation," Sillia said, her eyes brightening. Sky got confused.

"Aren't you enjoying yourself here?" Sky inquired.

"No, I definitely had fun here, but I wanna go somewhere else before my vacation ends," Sillia replied with a thoughtful expression, her mind seemingly contemplating something.

"And where exactly do you want to go?"

"Well, you know, I talked with my friends; they all decided to go to the beach, to swim in the sea and enjoy the last days of vacation before it ends," Sillia explained. Sky nodded in understanding before replying, "Hmm… that's quite a good plan for summer days." Sky himself hadn't seen a beach for quite a long time. "By the way, who's going? And how many of them, and is there any adult?" Sky questioned.

"Well, two girls besides me and five boys, and no adult is involved," Sillia said, which immediately made Sky frown. He looked at her before asking, "No adult? I mean, it's… a little da—"

"Then it's a no, right?"

"Huh…? Why do I feel like you want me to say no…?" Sky thought before saying, "Well, not really. You can go. You'll need to learn to be self-dependent anyway. So yeah, you can go. Don't worry, I won't tell Mom about it. So enjoy yourself with your friends, and if you want money, then I can give you that." Sky observed Sillia's facial expressions; her eyes widened, and she immediately said, "What?! Are you serious? I mean, we'd be wearing swimsuits on that beach with boys also there…" Sillia said with a confirming tone. Sky thought for a moment before nodding.

"Of course, I know. And I know the potential of what a girl and boy can do on that beach with no adult around to discipline them," Sky said clearly, which frustrated Sillia.

"Then why the fuck are you even agreeing on it?" Sky asked in frustration.

"Sillia…" Sky said in a slightly stern tone. Sillia immediately apologized, "I'm sorry, but it made me angry! How can you just agree on it, huh?" Sky directly replied, "Well, because I know, sooner or later, you're going to do these types of things. So it doesn't matter. Plus, you're almost an adult now, so I know your curiosity would be around these types of things. Plus, this will help you be more social and open-minded. And most importantly, you won't be like me, since I've recently confirmed that you've started to like spending time alone instead of going out and enjoying yourself with your friends. And I don't want to limit you in anything. If you want to enjoy anything, I will definitely help you in that, I don't want to be a breaker in your happiness. ' Sky replied calmly as it made Sillia more and more angry as she clenched her teeth before saying.

' What the Fu—hell are you bullshiting about..?' Sillia asked controlling her anger to just brust on him.
