Minjae looked at that smile.
Then he looked at the camera.
Then he looked back at the smile.
'I have made a mistake,' he thought. 'I do not know what the mistake was but I have made one.'
"Anything," Yuki said, entirely unbothered. "Something real. Your choice entirely."
He had no choice now. He was on air and she was looking at him and the comment section was probably already saying something.
He took a breath.
"Kono tabi, Tokyo ni kite hontoni yokatta desu. Minasan no atatakai kangei ni, kokoro kara kansha shite imasu."[1]
Yuki went completely still.
The whole studio went still with her.
She stared at him.
Minjae stared back.
'Was that wrong?' he thought. 'Did I say something wrong? What did I say? I practiced that. I practiced that many times. Why is she looking at me like that?'
"He said that perfectly," Yuki said to the camera, in a voice that was very carefully level. "Every word. Perfect."
Minjae exhaled.
"Arigatou gozaimasu." [2]
