Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: QUADRILLION AWAKENING

CHAPTER 1

Quadrillion Awakening

The night was quiet, yet within the vast mountains of the Azure Cloud Sect, a lone figure sat cross-legged beneath the withered willow tree. His robes were torn, his face bruised, and his eyes filled with unwillingness. This youth's name was Ye Tian.

For years, he had been mocked as the most useless outer disciple of the sect. His meridians were considered blocked, his cultivation stagnated at the first level of Body Refinement, and even the lowliest servants of the sect looked down on him. Worse, his parents—simple farmers—were long gone, leaving him with nothing but ridicule and pity.

Earlier that day, a group of senior disciples had beaten him half to death for failing to complete a menial task. His body still ached from their strikes, and his spirit was on the verge of collapse.

"Why… why is heaven so unfair?" Ye Tian muttered, clenching his fists until blood dripped from his palms. "Am I destined to live and die as trash? Is my fate truly sealed?"

And yet, in that moment of despair, something stirred.

A cold, mechanical voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

[Ding! Quadrillion System has been activated.]

Ye Tian's eyes widened, his breathing halted.

[Welcome, Host: Ye Tian.]

[Initial Rewards: 1 Quadrillion Spirit Stones.]

[1 Quadrillion Attribute Points have been granted.]

His heart thundered in disbelief. A… system? Spirit Stones? Attribute Points?

Before his eyes, a translucent panel appeared.

---

Ye Tian's jaw nearly dropped. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating, but the glowing panel remained.

"One quadrillion… spirit stones?" His lips trembled. In the Azure Cloud Sect, even the richest elder might only hold a few million spirit stones. The sect master himself was rumored to possess a billion at most. Yet he, a worthless disciple, now had more wealth than the entire sect combined—no, perhaps more than the entire empire!

And then there were his attributes. Just a single point was enough to lift boulders or shatter walls. A thousand points could rival elite warriors. A million points could devastate armies. But he… he had a quadrillion in every stat.

Ye Tian rose to his feet, the pain from earlier gone as if it never existed. His bruises healed instantly, his bones strengthened, and his body radiated terrifying power.

A sudden rustle broke the silence.

From the shadows, three senior disciples appeared, the same ones who had beaten him earlier. Their sneering faces glowed under the moonlight.

"Well, well, trash Ye Tian is still alive," one mocked. "Didn't we tell you to crawl out of the sect yourself? Looks like we'll have to help you leave permanently."

The second disciple cracked his knuckles. "Don't worry, trash. After tonight, no one will remember your useless name."

The third drew his sword, grinning maliciously. "Let's end this quickly."

Ye Tian's lips curled into a faint smile. For the first time in his life, he felt no fear. Instead, a wave of dominance surged within him.

"End me?" Ye Tian's voice was calm, yet it carried an indescribable weight. "No… tonight, it is you who will end."

The disciples laughed, thinking he had lost his mind.

The one with the sword lunged first, his blade gleaming. But before it could even graze Ye Tian, he casually waved his hand.

BOOM!

The sword shattered into fragments, and the disciple was sent flying dozens of meters away, slamming into a stone wall with a sickening crunch. Blood sprayed as his bones broke like twigs.

The other two froze, their faces pale.

"What… what kind of monster are you?"

Ye Tian stepped forward, his eyes gleaming like a predator. "A moment ago, you called me trash. Now… do you still dare?"

The second disciple attempted to flee, but Ye Tian simply glanced at him. With a faint flicker of his aura, the man collapsed to the ground, unconscious, as though the weight of mountains had crushed him.

The last one trembled, falling to his knees. "Mercy, Ye Tian! I was wrong! Spare me!"

Ye Tian's gaze was indifferent. The humiliation, the years of mockery, the countless nights of hunger and despair—all of it surged within his chest. Yet strangely, he did not feel the need to kill them all. They were already beneath him.

He turned away, his robe fluttering in the night breeze.

"Remember this," he said coldly, his voice echoing across the courtyard. "From today onward, Ye Tian is no longer trash."

The disciple shivered, etching those words into his soul.

As Ye Tian walked back under the willow tree, the system's voice rang again.

[Congratulations, Host, for defeating opponents. Reward: Quadrillion System upgrade unlocked.]

[New Function: Store has been activated.]

Another panel appeared, revealing endless treasures—immortal herbs, divine weapons, cultivation manuals, even mythical beasts—all purchasable with his quadrillion spirit stones.

Ye Tian's hands trembled, not from fear, but from exhilaration.

"With this system… with this quadrillion wealth and power… I will rise above all. Sect, empire, heavens—nothing shall bind me any longer."

His eyes burned with determination.

"I, Ye Tian, will walk the path of supremacy. Let the world tremble, for the Quadrillion System has awakened!"

And with that vow, the night sky seemed to shudder. Somewhere far away, deep within the sect, ancient elders stirred as though sensing a new monster being born.

But Ye Tian only closed his eyes, feeling the unimaginable power coursing through his veins.

The era of weakness was over.

The era of quadrillions had begun.
