Chapter 111 - Ch.111 Two Sentences Making March 7th Feel Guilty for Life

Taking a starskiff, Adrian and the other two arrived at Exalting Sanctum first and took a short rest.

"Back to the topic just now. Regarding Kafka, what else did you think of?"

Stelle shook her head; countless doubts remained in her heart: "Her walking into the trap is very suspicious..."

"A fugitive who can see the future surrendering without a fight suggests that in her eyes, things [should be this way]."

"Is she really that confident? The possibilities of the future are almost infinite."

Kafka acted so frankly that it made Stelle feel: she was truly confident she could prove she had nothing to do with this Stellaron crisis.

Or perhaps, some accident would happen during the Divination Commission's interrogation, allowing her to escape smoothly...

Stelle pondered: What was the Stellaron Hunters' purpose in going to such lengths to bring them here? Why is a dangerous figure like a [Lord Ravager] present on the Xianzhou Luofu?

The doubts grew more numerous. Behind this series of actions, what kind of future did [Destiny's Slave] foresee?

The Galactic Baseballer fell into deep thought. Aside from Adrian, none of them knew... that the [Script] for the Stellaron Hunters was already full of garbled text.

"'It involves secrets and cannot be made public'... Is this the Xianzhou's motto? From the Sky-Faring Commission to the Divination Commission, everyone keeps saying this. Only the General is amiable."

"I hate to admit it, but I kinda miss Sampo... Wait! Where did that thought come from? Am I crazy? No no no, the Xianzhou people are way better than Sampo!"

March 7th hurriedly dispelled the dangerous thought in her brain. What kind of good person would think about knocking them all out and taking them to the Underworld!

Also, normal people wouldn't hide in a snow pile for no reason. She remembered Stelle even whacked him with her mimicked weapon.

Mentioning the past, March 7th recalled their experiences on Jarilo-VI:

"Sigh, in Belobog, we were chased up and down without even a moment to catch our breath. Here on the Xianzhou, we have plenty of time, but it's all spent waiting."

"Chasing, escaping, and waiting. Maybe that's what life is..." March 7th suddenly started philosophizing, which surprised Stelle.

"Oh, you can write poetry now?"

"What's so hard about that? For a beautiful girl, a casual sigh breathes out sorrow that becomes poetry. I do have some literary talent, you know."

"Let's go, shopping can cure all worries."

"Yay, the daily shopping session, let's go let's go! Does Teacher Adrian have any recommended places?"

"Not waiting for Dan Heng and the others?" Adrian asked in surprise.

"Ugh... right. We're unfamiliar with this place; we can't just abandon our companions!"

"It's simple, I..."

"Hmph hmph hmph... Aaaaaah!"

A scream suddenly came from the plaza not far away, successfully interrupting Stelle who was about to speak.

"Darn it, interrupting me at a critical moment!" Stelle took out her mimicked baseball bat and ran towards the source of the scream.

"Eh? What happened... let's follow and see!" March 7th followed closely behind. When they arrived at the scene, they saw a Cloud Knight soldier falling to Mara right then and there.

"Sigh~ This is why I didn't want to come..." Adrian held his forehead and laughed bitterly.

Just as he took a step, a figure rushed past him.

"Everyone back!"

Bailu, running with sparks and purple lightning trailing behind her, charged over. With a running start, she delivered a rider kick that knocked down the Mara-Struck Soldier.

"Quick, feed him this medicine and make him lie down obediently..."

Four massive shadows covered Bailu. Looking up, she saw more Cloud Knights falling to Mara one after another.

"I... I mean... make them lie down obediently..." Bailu's voice grew smaller, trying to muddle through with cuteness, while her small hand restlessly felt around behind her back for something.

"That child is in danger!" March 7th summoned her ice bow, but unfortunately, the ice mist couldn't be released instantly and needed time to charge.

"Hah! This is the drawback of ranged archers. March, step back and let me handle it!"

Stelle shielded Bailu behind her, rushing up to engage the Mara-Struck Soldiers in close combat. With her overwhelming combat power, it was one bat per Mara-Struck kiddo.

After ending the battle, Bailu walked up to the Mara-Struck Soldier who had been knocked down and put her hands on her hips.

"Now that you've been taught a lesson, you can lie down obediently, right?" She didn't forget to turn around and thank Stelle and March 7th:

"Thanks, big sisters, for helping to stabilize the patients' emotions. That [Heavy Strike Anesthesia] technique was quite impressive!" Bailu gave them a thumbs up.

"Beat-down therapy, everyone who's tried it says it's great!"

"Ah, little sister... but I didn't do anything." March 7th scratched her head, feeling somewhat guilty.

"It's okay, as long as Big Sister had the heart to help! But with your intervention, these Cloud Knights are now injured on top of their illness. I have to work harder to set their bones and bandage them. Darn it, I'm completely swamped now!"

Stelle was shocked again. The Xianzhou actually let children treat patients? Was the situation on the Luofu so dangerous that even child soldiers were deployed?!

"Where did this child come from? Where is your dad?"

"I don't have a dad."

March 7th was momentarily at a loss for words. This child was too pitiful. "Ah... then what about your mom?"

"I don't have a mom either." Bailu's straightforward answer left March 7th stumped.

Two sentences, successfully making March 7th feel guilty for life.

Seeing the other party hesitating to speak, Bailu put her hands on her hips again and spread them:

"I understand. You see my small stature and think I must be a [little kid] who ran away from her parents."

"Hmph, this is the Xianzhou! Little short-life species sister from outworld, don't judge a book by its cover. We Vidyadhara are self-sufficient in our reincarnation; we don't need any dads or moms!"

"This lady has been studying medicine since hatching from the water, and I am a legitimate licensed healer in the Alchemy Commission!"

March 7th and Stelle looked at each other; it seemed their views were consistent.

Children in Belobog were still playing in the mud underground, while children here could already skillfully treat patients.

"The Luofu has not been very peaceful lately. If you..."

"If we have nothing to do, don't run around, right? What a pity, the General of the Luofu gave us an errand, so we have to run here and there," March 7th explained.

Hearing this, Bailu seemed thoughtful: "Then, if big sisters have any mishaps, bumps, or bruises... I can treat you for free! For the sake of you saving me, I'll give you a 20% discount on the medicine fee."

"Wait a minute, isn't that contradictory? Didn't you say free treatment?"

"Hah, do you know how many people on the Xianzhou Luofu want to register for this lady's expert outpatient clinic but can't!"

"If I hadn't brought insufficient money when sneaking out, I wouldn't be... cough cough! Enough idle talk, delaying the patient's diagnosis would be bad."

"Got it!"

Under everyone's astonished gaze, Bailu took out a bottle of boba milk tea about the size of her palm.

"Eh eh eh? Drinking milk tea on such an occasion? You really are just a kid!"

"What are you saying? This is a medicinal ointment specifically used to treat Mara-Struck!"
