Chapter 4: Complete monopoly in the alloy industries

Elysium spent a week indoors, only going out to buy food and not caring about anything else.

Red Mountain Elementary School closed for a week due to the devastating earthquake that shook the world. Online, even the Spirit Pagoda in Shrek City was hit hard and severely damaged.

They evacuated all staff and temporarily relocated their headquarters to Mingdu.

Many casualties and chaos affected everyone, and they declared that day "The Day of Mourning" because a devastating explosion killed too many people.

But the one who caused it ignored all of that and focused on creating charts and various research projects that interested him.

Of the many blueprints scattered on the floor, three remained on the table.

It's just a branch of technology that should have existed in this world long ago. Elysium couldn't understand why no one had used their brains to create this.

On the side, Eva's blue screen appeared, displaying her analysis of Elysium.

[Congratulations on discovering more ways to process metal in this world. New technology has been added to the data bank.]

[New technology: three-step spirit-granting refiner.

Effect: Doubles alloy production for all metals and will have an effect on granting spirituality.

Description: A new technology that uses an approach to remove foreign objects in ore through repeated heating and automatic hammering with a strong infusion of soul power.]

"Phew… well, this is done. As long as I've used this technology, the first monopoly on the metal is in my hands. With this efficiency, I can produce more than 100 kilograms per hour of refined metal. Coupled with the strange method of refining in this world, I've adjusted it slightly."

The three blueprints in front of him represent one complete technology. That's why he named it the three-step spirit-granting refiner. It's kind of a mixed machine, combining three different technologies he developed in this world.

With this, he could begin selling his spiritual metal worldwide. It would certainly destroy the blacksmith profession, but for the advancement of technology, their sacrifice was necessary. If they couldn't even adapt, they would be left behind by the times.

"But to destroy one industry in this world, there will be opposition in all directions. I need strength and loyal manpower. Furthermore, my strength cannot be too low, or I will be under constant threat."

"Increasing strength is one important reason, but to gain more manpower, I must create automated, intelligent robot soldiers for use in war."

Not only that, I would need a large factory to manufacture the various parts of the robots. All of this wouldn't be accomplished overnight. It would take years of planning to complete it all.

"Then, until the red button is pressed, there are basically no problems for me."

Well, this meant he had work to do.

The next morning, Elysium still needed to go to school. Regardless of whether this backward academy could provide him with knowledge, he simply acted in school and was a good student while secretly conducting experiments on that animal in human form.

So, back at school, Elysium waited in front of the Red Mountain Academy gates, attempting to meditate while standing.

He felt the soul power in the air, drawing it into his body, circulating it throughout his body, and finally integrating it into each cycle. With each cycle, Elysium could feel his soul power increasing little by little, continuing to increase by the second.

"At this speed, it will take me three months to level up. The efficiency is too poor. Better to just use psychic power and convert it to soul power."

He put on his lab coat, which Eva had requested. It's not cheating to request some of the clothes he liked from Elysium Fortress. Plus, wearing a lab coat is one of the essential protocols for maintaining safety in the laboratory.

"Why are you here again?" Tang Wulin's voice came from beside him. He felt wary and stood in front of Na'er, moving to protect her from this strange student.

"Tsk, it's you again." Elysium clucked when he saw Tang Wulin approaching. He looked at the experimental subject standing behind Tang Wulin, making him worry that this 'furry' would affect his experimental subject.

"Are you two a couple? Walking together like that and holding hands? Are you two engaged? A child bride, perhaps?" Elysium asked, staring at their faces.

The silver-haired girl looked shy and smiled foolishly when she said that. She looked at Tang Wulin with an expectant look on her face when she heard that.

"My god, there's something wrong with this suspected human-transformed soul beast. Is her mind still like an animal, or is she thinking about mating when the seasons come?"

And I love it! I can even hear something like, "The experimental subject exhibited behavior that isn't entirely human in their lives. Sociology +3."

"No! She's my sister. Something like getting engaged is only done by those who love each other," Tang Wulin shouted firmly.

Instantly, her hopeful eyes faded, and she lowered her head. But her hand still tightly grasped Tang Wulin's hand.

"Oh, she doesn't expect it?" Elysium observed the transformed soul beast's social behavior, rather intruiging, as if wanting to be loved by her brother.

"Sister? But you two really don't look alike at all. Look at that girl, she's like a moon shining on a dark night, her face is smooth, unlike yours. Plus, your eyes are completely different." Elysium walked over and patted Tang Wulin on the shoulder.

"Besides, if she's your sister, then it's okay if I approach her and befriend her, right?"

Elysium reached out to the silver-haired girl and flashed a friendly smile. But his hand was gripped tightly by Tang Wulin, who was looking at him angrily.

Tang Wulin even pushed Elysium away. "Don't go near her!"

"It hurts. His grip isn't something a normal human should have."

Elysium saw his reddened hand and Tang Wulin's forceful push. He really wondered if this kid had some genetic modification done to his body or something?

And looking at this possessive man with some mental problems, he started to piss me off. What's the matter with knowing someone and getting to know her? He doesn't think that the little girl's body is enough to interest me, right?

What, this mediocre woman who isn't even 1% as beautiful as the women in the federation, Tang Wulin doesn't really think I'm attracted to Na'er, does he?

But, as a civilized man from the federation, Elysium showed a smile and kindly asked Tang Wulin, "You don't have to react like that, do you? If this were about our last meeting and I touched this little girl's chin, then I would apologize for my earlier rudeness. I was simply captivated by her beauty. But now, I just want to get to know her, and you're being unreasonable."

Na'er, who was behind Tang Wulin, glanced at Elysium, who looked in pain. For the first time, a small smile formed on her face upon hearing Elysium's praise.

"Hmph, Na'er, let's go, we should go to school now." Tang Wulin pushed Elysium aside and led Na'er away.

Elysium didn't reply, simply waving at Na'er, still smiling. When they were out of sight, Elysium spoke in the federation's common language.

"Eva, enter the data of the research subject in the field of sociology alongside the woman named Na'er. Tang Wulin is also suitable to be included as an additional experimental subject."

[Data received. An additional subject has been added with the premise 'Gene modification in the barbaric world'.]

…

In the Elysium fortress, Astrea looked at the chessboard beside him and muttered, "A dragon, huh? My clone seems to have discovered something unique."

"Your next move, what will you do next, my opponent..."

Without any hand or anything at all in front of the chessboard, the black pawn moved its pawn to D6, opposite the E5 pawn.

A book move attempting to seize dominance in the center of the chessboard. With both sides taking their positions, the game had officially begun.

"Then, let's play slowly first." Astrea picked up another pawn and moved it to D4.

Astrea again ignored the chessboard and continued his research until his opponent moved another piece.
