Chapter 1 - The return of storm

Scene 1 – The Accident (Night, Heavy Rain)

The road was slick with rain, reflections of streetlights dancing in puddles. A car lay on its side, twisted metal glinting under the storm. Sirens blared, and people shouted over the downpour.

Sugar (15) scrambled toward the car, drenched, shaking, clutching his mother's hand.

Sugar (crying, voice trembling): "Dad? Dad, wake up… please!"

Outside, Storm (16) stood frozen, drenched, hands shaking. His eyes were wide with terror, watching helplessly as chaos unfolded.

Crowd voices pierced the storm:

"Call the ambulance!"

"Someone get a blanket!"

Storm's parents arrived, faces pale, panic evident. Sugar's mother ran forward, screaming, tears mixing with the rain.

The ambulance arrived, lights flashing, sirens shrieking.

Scene 2 – Hospital Corridor (Later)

Bright fluorescent lights hum in the sterile hallway. Sugar sits on a bench, numb, staring at the floor. Storm stands across the hall, silent, guilt etched across his face.

The doctor approaches quietly.

Doctor (softly): "I'm sorry… we couldn't save him."

Sugar's mother collapses into his arms, sobbing. Sugar's hands tremble, fists clenching. Storm's mother steps forward hesitantly.

Storm's Mother: "We… we are so sorry. This wasn't supposed to happen."

Sugar's Mother (angry, voice shaking): "Your enemies came after Storm for property… my husband paid the price!"

Storm bows his head, silent tears falling. Sugar's chest tightens, pain cutting through him.

Sugar (whispers, broken): "This… is your fault. Because of you… my dad is gone."

Storm steps forward, but Sugar turns his back. That night, the funeral, the rain, the chaos — all ended, leaving a wound neither time nor distance could heal.

Scene 3 – Five Years Later (Morning)

A new city, a bustling campus. Students rush to classes, laughter filling the air. Sugar (20) steps out of a taxi, suitcase in hand, eyes scanning nervously.

Sugar (to himself): "New city. New start. No more past."

Across the campus, Storm (21), tall, confident, effortlessly commanding attention, speaks with juniors. His gaze shifts, locking on Sugar. A small smirk tugs at his lips.

Storm (to himself, softly): "Finally… we meet again."

Scene 4 – Campus Hall (Later)

Orientation hall buzzing with excitement. Sugar sits quietly, sketchbook open, trying to focus. The sudden ruckus of seniors ragging juniors makes him flinch.

Storm strides in, playful and powerful, commanding attention. His eyes scan the room, landing on Sugar.

Storm (half-smile): "Well, well… look who we have here."

Sugar freezes, memories of sirens, blood, and rain flashing through his mind. He looks away quickly, avoiding Storm's gaze.

Storm (teasing, intense): "Not going to say hello? After all these years?"

Sugar grabs his bag and walks away. Storm watches, a mix of hurt and determination in his eyes.

Scene 5 – Evening, Empty Corridor (After Classes)

Sugar hurries down the quiet corridor, clutching his sketchbook. His footsteps echo. He just wants to disappear into his dorm.

Sugar (thinking, frustrated): "Why is he here? After all these years… why now?"

A sudden firm grip on his wrist. Sugar gasps and spins around — it's Storm, leaning casually against the wall, a faint smirk on his lips.

Storm (low voice, teasing): "You've been running away all day, Sugar. Planning to avoid me for the next four years too?"

Sugar jerks back, but Storm's grip is unyielding. Not painful, just enough to freeze him.

Sugar (angry, hurt): "Let go. We have nothing to talk about."

Storm steps closer, shadow falling over Sugar. His teasing fades; his voice is deep, serious.

Storm (soft but intense): "I promised your father I'd take care of you. And I will. Whether you like it or not."

Sugar's eyes widen. For a heartbeat, he sees the frightened boy from five years ago — now grown into a man whose presence commands the air around him.

Sugar (whispers, trembling): "I don't need your care… not from the person who ruined my family."

Storm flinches at the words but masks it quickly with a dark smile. He leans in, breath warm near Sugar's ear.

Storm (provocative, whispering): "Then hate me all you want… but stop running, Sugar. I'm not going anywhere."

He releases Sugar's wrist and walks away, casual as ever. Sugar stands frozen, heart pounding.

Sugar (thinking, conflicted): "Why… does he still have this effect on me?"
