Prologue – Under a Broken Sky
The fire devoured everything.
Homes, temples, bodies. Beneath that sky dyed red, an entire village burned without mercy.
Amid the flames, a child wept in silence. He did not scream, he did not call for help… he only walked through the ruins with trembling steps. His eyes, far too young to understand, reflected the light of destruction.
The earth itself seemed to groan under the weight of a dark force. A voice echoed through the ashes, deep and eternal:
—"No matter how far you run, little one. No matter how tightly you cling to the light… the shadows will always reclaim what is theirs."
The child stopped.
He looked upward.
Beyond the smoke, a shattered moon shone like a dying eye in the night.
That moment was seared into his heart.
An unspoken vow was born within him: to live, even if in solitude; to move forward, even if darkness tried to consume him.
That child…
The one who survived the fall of his world.
The one who would one day be known as Kael—
the dagger that severed fate.
