When night came, Luciano laid on his back beside Valentina on the mat.
"What did you do to Ross?" She asked, as she rested her head on his chest.
He laughed, but didn't answer directly.
"Come on, tell me."
"Nope. Just know he has been handled."
"Hmmm. Then at least tell me how things are back at home. The twins? I miss them a lot."
"Everything is just as you left it-chaotic."
She frowned. "So Isadora–"
"Is not pregnant," he stopped her. "She's dying actually. Thanks to her idiot brother who I can't even completely blame for wanting to reconnect with his father. Just unfortunate what that desire led to. It's so complicated," he sighed.
Valentina sighed as well. "I like Adin. Maybe he made a mistake, but he meant well. Isadora too is a victim in all of this. I feel bad for considering her unbearable. Doctor Maxwell can help her live right?"
"Yeah, I made him promise to do everything he can to save her."
She nodded her head. "That's good. Really good."
