"What do you think she's telling Lorenzo?" Niccolo asked.
"Knowing her, probably telling him to eat a bag of dicks."
Rose laughed out loud. "For real? No wonder you're smitten."
"Well, she talks back and curses like a sailor. There's really not a boring moment around her," Luciano said, his gaze still stuck on Valentina who was returning now.
"And what does Daniela think about your relationship with her?"
He breathed hard, his eyes turning deadly in a flick.
"Daniela and her mother are in lanotte."
Niccolo and Rose exchanged quick glances.
Niccolo whistled.
"That explains a lot," Rose said under her breath.
Luciano returned his gaze to Valentina only to see Enzo Romano rising to his feet from the corner of his eyes.
Enzo blocked Valentina, and Luciano hissed through his teeth as he began to rise.
Before either of them could make any real moves, the music died down, and the screens flickered on.
"It's starting," a voice said, and their eyes all went to the screen.
