Seo-hyeon flinched, his heart pounding so hard he thought his chest would burst. He wanted to scream that it was a lie, that this man was just another hallucination. But the touch of Min-jun's hand was real, and it was warm.
You're not him... Seo-hyeon thought, clutching the ring. But... you're too similar.
"A stranger from another world?" the gardener scoffed, crossing his arms. "Seo-hyeon, you believe this? He could be an infected spy!"
"He's clean," Seo-hyeon said, his voice trembling but with a solid conviction. "I checked the sensors. He's… real."
Min-jun gritted his teeth, his gaze falling on the bunker and the people around him. This world was on the brink. He was a stranger here, yet he saw every detail: the cracks in the concrete, the strained faces, even the subtle trembling of the engineer's hands.
"I'm a scout," he said. "Survival, reconnaissance, combat. Give me a task—I'll handle it."
Yoon frowned.
"We need resources, not extra mouths to feed."
Seo-hyeon stepped forward, still holding Min-jun's hand, his voice firm.
"I'll show him the bunker. We'll figure this out."
Min-jun nodded, feeling Seo-hyeon's gaze holding him in place.
"Let's go."
